  1. anyone have any good pictures of what a plug should look like?

  3. ok i got my pipes back from being rechromed they do look nice and i'm ready to go i got a K&n with a plate so now i will go with no air box lid FMF Fatty and power core silincers K&N w/outerware no lid stock carbs w/tors stock jetting also stock reeds and intake i'm in connecticut and i'm looking at running it from 65-95 degrees were do i start with the mains and pilots? thanks for the help

  8. same thing happenend to me last night i thought it was the stem but it looks like the frame hoop i going to pull the tank and a good look at it i worked in a body shop for 12 years and as long as there are no kinks you should be able to use a prota power or a block of wood and a dead blow hammer the quad flipped over backwards and i bailed the first time i have flipped it hit stop of hard pack at the top of a sand hill cut up my arm pretty good by the way i was wearing full gear short sleeve shrit thats were i went wrong

  10. the heatseeker looks like the same thing with a long needle and it comes out the vent on the side of the tank just try this what do you have to lose if you do it like i did you can always put back the org hose

I was on the fence about buying a temperature gauge or using the mod from a link on this forum http://www.dunereview.com/mods.htm so I figured what the heck I would try it first thing I did is I didn't want to cut the factory hose so instead of using the 3/8 hose that it tells you to use I used 5/16 fuel line this seams to fit the head a little better I changed the hose from the head so if it leaked I could swap it back use all 5/16 fuel line and 1/8 vacuum hose and 6 clamps and 5/16 Tee fitting and go to Wal-Mart and buy the meat temp gauge for about 6 dollars I'm so happy I did this it looks great it doesn't leak and works like a charm thanks for all the help from great people like " wyoduner " this is a lot better than the gauge you buy for 35.00 save your money and do it this way it looks more custom anyway by the way it took about 40 minutes to install
  12. is there a o-ring that needs to be replaced near the rad hose and case? also i never heard of a billet gear i was just going to get a yamaha one
  13. what else should i do when i"m in there? i have a mega flow impeller,bearing,seal gasket for water pump cover,new driver gear and knock out pin do i need a side cover gasket? i'm going to use wetter water and anti freeze and yama lube 10w 30 4 stoke oil in the trans 2 times it over heated on me in some hard riding in the sand the quad is a 01 and it is all stock stock pipes,airfilter,and jetting so i dont think its a lean issue plus the oem water pumps do go bad from what i understand Thanks for the input

  15. this guy wants 1700 for this thing and it is ruff all a/arm bushings and swing arm bearings are worn needs front wheels leaking oil out of the shifter seal its got fatty pipes boost bottle,full skids all the plastic and it is complete and runs good starts on the 3rd kick from cold i'm up in the air if its worth it and its a 97 what do you think ? i figured it would cost me with a top end rebuild about 600.00.. to make it perfect what do you think?
