  1. I think you posted in the wrong fourm.........
  2. Advance timing 4 degrees, new reeds, bigger carbs, cool head, more compression................... how much are you looking to spend?
  3. You run BR8ES all the time? I have always used the B8ES. Not sure what the difference is, but I guess I'll use them.
  4. I have a set of BR8ES, can i throw these in and use them? Will these affect anything? Asking because I am in the process of breaking in the top end, the mains might be a lil rich. Thanks for the info. Here's the reason for the new top end...
  5. where are you located?
  6. I have never been, but was considering it last summer. I heard that all quads need to be registered and have insurance to legally ride over there. Cant remember who or where i heard it from, but definately look into it before you go.
  7. been there.........
  8. They are not just for looks. They cool more efectively, and add compression and torque. I put a Noss head on my 03, it uses the stock studs, easy to put on. i went with 20cc domes. O-rings are reuseable, 20 lbs. on the nuts. there is plenty of info on this site and all over the web, specifically for your question.
  9. bump
  10. sweet clip though.........SILVER LAKE!
  11. rear fenders look crooked as sh**
  12. looks like a real clean bike, someone will buy it. But if the banshee is too big for you, what are you gonna do with a 450? those things are fast and powerful too, especially w/ mods. its your decision. I dont think anyone will rag on you for gettin the yfz 450, its a great bike and its still YAMAHA.
  13. no TORS.....um.... since it idles ok, the plugs must be ok. old gas? when was the last time the bike was run? how old is the fuel?
  14. Same bike you were asking questions about in the other forum? about the bogging? why for sale, you've only had it like 2 weeks, right?
  15. WHAT HE SAID!!! Lee... this site is awesome, that about sums it up. havent been on as long as most of you guys, but i dont see my self leaving anytime soon, its just about a daily addiction. word up to the sponsers, you guys rock.
  16. not familiar with your carbs, but what size mains are in it now? If it is backfiring I would guess that you need to jet up, possibly several sizes.
  17. I think it looks good too. Glad to see another advertiser/sponser. That was the first thing I checked out today when the banner popped up. now if i could only come up with some money, hmmm.....................................................
  18. Does the bike still have the TORS on or connected?
  19. quadzillabill.... go for it man, you will not regret it. I am a fellow MI banshee rider, where are you from? like mentioned in earlier replies... you will get addicted to the dunes! my family takes trips out there as often as we can. get some paddles for that shee, and you will be instantly addicted to throwin monster roosters. people can argue all they want about the style of bike, 2 or 4 stroke, yada yada yada..... fact of the matter is... if you know how, or can learn how to ride this bike, you will enjoy it in any riding situation. I love pulling up in the dunes or at a trail head, peoples heads turn to check out what you are bringing to ride, they see a banshee and know that they must bow to it. then you pull it off the trailer and fire it up, and the sound of the pipes sends a chill down everyone's spine who isnt riding one. bad/ugly....ummm.... the only thing that comes to mind right now is $$$$$. once you start putting mods on it, you wont wanna stop. mods are an addiction as well, and there is literally no end to what you can do to it if you got the money.
  20. ya need just the left side, or do you want both? like i said i have all the stuff i removed when i put on the nerfs. send me a pm if you are interested, shouldnt be too much to ship them.
  21. I have all the stock stuff from my bike. I am not sure what you are talking about........webbing? I have pegs, metal heel guards, and the black plastic backs that connect to the fenders. are you talking about any of that? Located in MI, let me know.
  22. he's saying to take the lid off, not remove the box. no lid = more air = more gas = more power. you could remove the entire box, but i wouldnt recommend it if you ride through puddles. there is an adaptor plate that will allow you to connect an aftermarket filter to the inside of your stock air box. there are several different setups you could choose from, and different ways to mod your airbox. none will hurt the carbs as long as you have a filter on and maybe an outerwear too.
  23. I got mine locally at a Magic Racing store, it was made by Vito's. Im sure you can find them on the internet. Also, you will need a flywheel puller to install it. so check into that as well. about $15 bucks maybe? ps, jetting is probably the most important step when adding parts like intake and exhaust. dont hesitate to ask questions, and check out the jetting FAQ's. there is a ton of info on here for you to use.
  24. Welcome!!!! you will notice a huge gain with the exhaust, reeds, and air filter. My advice (and probably the advice of many of the people on here) do not buy the boost bottle. Its not necessary and wont give you a gain in power. riding in sand doesnt require paddles, but they help soooooooooooo much. without them you should expect alot of wheel spinning. Cheap mod: Degree key. it advances your timing 4 degrees. its one of the first things i did to my bike, and most people on here will recommend it to you.
