  1. I think I returned everyone's email. If you didn't hear back from me - please drop me another note as I might have overlooked your message. Thx, Bill
  2. Guys, I'm out of town for two days. If you've got stuff to offer, please hit me at the listed email address since I won't have access to the BHQ site all the time. For trade offers, please let me know a description, photos and where you think we would be at in trade value in the email. Here it is again: quadzillabill@hotmail.com Thanks - everything I've seen so far has been interesting. Bill
  3. I'm thinking that the cash I have tied up in my nice, completely stock and low mileage 2003 Banshee LE would be better served by picking up a couple of dirt bikes so the family could ride together. Pics available, but other than needing new chain (original is a little neglected) and the slightest rust on some of the now sand-blasted parts of the frame - its in great shape. Looking for something like a TTR-125 for my 16 yr old daughter, a little bigger bike for me, and an XR/PW 50/80 etc.. for my 9 year old. Combinations of any of similar bikes and/or cash will be considered. Alternatively, I'd consider trading it for a couple of smaller quads that the kids can safely handle. I'm in Michigan and can arrange shipping if needed. Contact me at quadzillabill at hotmail dot com to discuss. Thanks!
  4. Thanks bro!! PIPES ARE SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!! To me? I'm waiting to hear back from you. Bill
  5. This afternoon I worked the dirty 03 shee. Most everything cleaned up real nice, and it was obvious what you guys were talking about with regard to replacing the stock air filter. Sheesh, what a hunk of junk. Anyway, the bike's chain has not been maintained very well at all. It rolls well enough and I cleaned it up a bit with some cleaner, but the darn thing is pretty heavily rusted. What cleaning and lubricating technique/products are a good idea to try on this thing before I just throw it away and get a new DID or RK X-ring chain? Also, since I'm from a street bike background and use sticky chain lube, I would guess this is NOT a good idea on a quad. What lubes/conditioners are you guys using on an o-ring or x-ring chain? Thanks, Q
  6. In part thanks to all of you, I ended up getting the 03 Ltd Shee today. Its all stock except for a boost bottle on it, but needs some good general maintenance. I figure that after I give it a full mechanical checkup, oil change, plugs, lube/grease and a good wash I ought to start putting some mods on this thing. What are the top 5 easiest/most effective/most worthwhile projects I should take on first? Thanks, Q
  7. I think your message hints at why I'm in a favorable trade position. Sounds like the guy was looking for something to do with his wife when he got this, but when he went over the handlebars on his 2nd ride - she got a little scared at the raw power. Not frightened myself, but it sure sounds like a rush of a ride. You guys are getting me excited about the 'Good', but nobody's told me about the 'Bad' and the 'Ugly' about the Banshee. Spill it on me - I can take it. BTW, here's a pic of it in old-school Yamaha colors. What's the general range of value for one like this? I know you are all the experts.
  8. I'm in the process of considering a trade: One of my street bikes for a stock 2003 Banshee. Shee would be MY bike to ride with my girls (16 and 9) as they have been interested in joing the quad scene. I'd be getting some tamer models for them to ride. I've done some quad riding but mostly wooded trails with little track and zero dunes riding (although in Michigan we have plenty of dunes to ride and it sounds like fun). The trade values makes getting the bike very attractive, but I'm not sure of the Banshee is well-rounded enough to suit varied types of riding that I might encounter here. I'd love to hear your thoughts as experienced banshee riders on the banshees versatility as well as its general mechanical weak and strong points. Thanks in advance, Q
