Mods listed in sig..... I just put a 15 tooth up front. Anyone with similiar mods run 15/41 in the dunes? Hope so, didnt plan on switching between 14 and 15.

Just get some in-line coolers, drop the temp AT LEAST 30 degrees.

you got it backwards, you need bigger jets. If your bike is jetted for higher elevations, then you are most likely running it lean right now. Running lean will cause your bike to run hot. Basically, put bigger jets in and do some plug chops. May also need a bigger pilot jet if the bog is still there.

Silver Lake is the place. Holiday weekends are BUSY. I try to make it out there as many times as possible. In a couple months we will have to plan some trip dates and get the HQers out in force. It would be cool to meet up, ride, and party.

Went riding in Gladwin, MI over the weekend. Was riding my buddies DS650. Temp was right around 0, wind chill was -??. No probs with the machines, but man i was freezing my ass off. We were riding down a river which is quite popular i guess. It was very wide and all packed down from sleds. The DS hooked up great on the packed snow with paddle tires. Think I am gonna jet the shee for the cold and take it up there next month.

few ideas: 1. Improve air flow, if it isnt moded already. new filter, holes in lid, or remove lid, remove entire box, etc. depending on style of riding. 2. Advance timing. 3. For speed change the gearing and tire sizes. ex. 15 tooth up front and larger tires in back. can also reduce teeth on rear sprocket. many different combinations.

I have the UM airbox. My brother found another aftermarket airbox. It holds two stubby K&N's.

I sold mine, but my brother has a set. I'll check on it and get back to you later. You need the black plastic part right? or the metal heelpan? he has both.

Right on, thats what ill do just to get rid of it. I just checked it out, people are asking like $30 for buy it now. I say screw it and maybe get what i can. Better than just sittin around in my garage.

What do (did) you guys do with your stock parts? Asking because i have boxes of stock parts in my garage taking up space. I will never use any of this stuff, and it is rare that anyone will wanna buy stock parts. Just curious, I'm about to throw it all away. 2 sets of stock exhaust, stock heel guards/nerfs, parking brake and throttle cables. All just wasting space. Hate to just toss the stuff in the trash, like the exhaust systems, but i have absolutely no use for them. Anyone sold stock exhaust on ebay? should i just junk it?

I agree with the above, gearing is gonna be too low. I would stay with the stock 14/41, see how you like that. Personally I am gonna try out a 15/41. also with the filters, if you are gonna hit any mud or water you are gonna want at least the bottom half of the air box in place for protection. just my opinion, do whatever you want. you can always change it later

We tried a few "guesses" glad we didnt fry anything. Found something on yfz central. follow the wires up from the oil tank and splice the two wires into the red and white wires. works fine. thanks for the help guys.
