  2. Clean the carbs? sounds like you should at least take apart the one side that is not firing and clean it good. make sure the carbs are in sync. check the air screws check idle screws, TORS still on?

  6. eeehehe Its a quote piramid i love you I know rocket who? I was hipnotized by the pyramid, it sucked me in too. fine I give in rocket pipes are stock shee pipes modded with afterburners for extra hp. you end up wasting alot of gaw with the burners on though. thats what i heard.
  7. havent posted in here in a while, but you are right on vitobanshee. Checked the compression had about 130 in the left and 80 in the right. Come to find that the top ring was gone from the right piston, which caused the markings on the head. I have since rebuilt my top end, and am in the process of breaking it in. Trying to get it broken in before i go to the dunes in 2 weeks for one last hoorah before winter. Just for shits and giggles i could try to get some pics of the f'ed up piston and post them. thanks for all the help and suggestions though, i appreciate it guys.
  8. There are plenty of posts on the TORS removal kit, just do a search for it. If you dont wanna buy the kit, you can disconnect all the wires and connectors and disable it.
  9. Not all silencers come with spark arresters. im Not familiar with the toomey exhaust, someone else will probably fill you in. But if you need or want you can buy aftermarket arrestors that clamp onto the ends of the silencers. then you can put them on for areas that require them, and remove them in others. for more $$ you could purchase different silencers with them built in. Or possibly even mod the ones you have and put some screens inside.

  12. I have the PC's, really like them for all riding. I have heard that the Toomeys make great power too. Dont know much about the SST's. Any way you go, you will be way better off then riding with stock exhaust. Is price a factor?
  13. Hmmm.... doesnt sound like a bad idea. I've never heard or seen it, but do chains break often? I dont think that i will press my luck, i better just get one.

  15. I've got three wheeler, like a 1985 50cc i believe. pretty sure it needs top end work.

Mine did that when i put on my pro circuits. for 2 reasons: 1. the stock holes on the exhaust mounts did not line up well. i drilled new holes where the pipes fit against the motor the best. 2. when i got my pipes i did not get any gaskets with them. so oil in the exhaust was spitting through even the tiniest gap. with the top end gasket kit i just put on, i got two gaskets for the exhaust. these should tighten up the gaps alot better. so......did you use gaskets when putting on the new pipes? i was told that RTV works just as well, if not better. try that maybe.
  17. I believe that stock domes are 22 or 23 cc. Smaller domes will increase compression, giving you increases in HP and torque. and of course have a much better cooling effect. i dont think that dome size has anything to do with the displacement. i believe displacement is calculated using cylinder bore and stroke, dome size being irrelevant. please someone correct me if this is wrong.

  22. When i had mine, i called tons of places for quotes. I got quotes of like $3000!! anyway i kept callin and found "Farmers" they insured me on my 600 when i was 19 for something like $380/yr. that was dirt cheap for full coverage! but they stopped insuring those types of bike the following year. I found a lot of places wont even insure them
