  1. We are leaving the house right now...Talk about an adventure...Man the shit I had to pull out of my ass...Should be there around noon.
  2. Cool. Hey Thanks. I'm getting everything in order as we speak. GLAMIS Here I come!! Gonna break an axle just for you!
  3. Personally..wait until your stock cdi craps out. Dyna is a damn good cdi and I noticed a vast improvement on starting, plug life and overall power. But at 300 or so bucks..it's not cheap. I've had mine for about three years now. No problems (knock on wood).
  4. Chatsworth is TINY at that..before they closed the area down...you could ride forever out there in the pine barrens. Now it's a joke. The only good track, they won't let ATV's on. It's not worth the money. Trails are short. Raceway park is a much better place to ride...for Moto-x anyways. You just gotta keep poaching. It's the only way to ride in NJ....wait there is another track...Atco! That's a badass FUN track! Forgot where but it's not too far from chattsworth. 5. How hot does it get? I mean it can't be any hotter the Phoenix mid summer..110-120 degrees. Hopefully my brother can take it. I'm also having trouble getting that green sticker...everybody is out of them until california releases the new ones..could be a problem. What's the best way to go coming from Phoenix? One more question. We will be rockin' a bronco woth a 10' by 8' box trailer...would we get stuck trying to park? I have never been to Glamis before.
  6. My brother is coming out from NJ and he's meeting me up in Phoenix and then it's off to Glamis...for the day, perhaps the weekend..depends on my work schedule. Anyways, I'm wondering if anyone wants to convoy out there...hopefully someone knows the area as I nor my brother has ever gone to glamis before....prefferably someone who knows where all the kick ass parties will be!
  7. Worst products huh? 1. Pro-x pistons. They sucked, made a lot of noise, with .030 gap. 2. Boost bottle. Wiring ALWAYS chaffed and wore mycables out. 3. Renthal sprockets. They wear way too fast! 4. Billet aluminum stock axle housing. Waste of 200 bucks! 5. Renthal bashee style handlebars. Nuff said 6. Aftermarket aluminum airbox. Nothing lined up and now it's a 230 dollar paper weight! 7. Any chain other then a DID 520 gold X-ring! Yes it's a pricey chain, but it holds up DAMN well 8. Motion pro chain breaker, damn thing broke before the chain! 9. Golden spectro premix..C'mon it's golden spectro.. 10. OEM airfilter
  8. Now I hear they sell orange and pink powerbands now
  9. Hey GYTWYPT, if the price is right, I'm interested. E-mail me LOSMONKOS@Yahoo.com. For some reason, I can't find your E-mail address. I'm going to dig into this RZ tranny info! I wonder if Yamaha still makes parts for it. Right now I'm running a 13/42 gear ratio on 18 in tires.Great for the MX track. But the thing I don't like is the huge transition from 3rd to 4th, and 5th to 6th is barely noticable. I was running a 14/41 ratio a while back, but it felt sluggish on the track. I burn up clutches just so I can run the higher gear and have power out of the hole, pin the throttle wide open and use the cluch to control speed and power. Very abusive. But it's the only way to keep my speed up. I don't even feel the gears, most of the time I forget what gear I'm in, until I mess up and bog down, then I have to down shift like crazy to get it going again. And now that I'm starting to ride in the wide open desert, I CONSTANTLY am finding myself reaching for that 7th gear. Tapped out in 6th hitting whoops and just out right flying and finding the rev limiter, yet still it's not fast enough. In a straight line, both the Honda 450 and the YFZ in stock form are faster. I want to gear my tranny as a 5 speed and make 6th the overdrive. so when I'm tapped out in 5th, it's just as fast as a yfz, but then I got 6th and will pull away.
  10. Vito's are expensive. I have a set, damn good Forged pistons. I plan on running them until they blow up. I want my money's worth! After two tears, the hone job on my cylinders are still very clean. The pistons are in great shape. So, a hone job, new wrist pins and bearing, new rings and I'm good to go.....aside from a completly rebuilt tranny...see previous post. The 250r's back in the day were doing this to their pistons. guys were drilling holes in stock pistons and running them. It's nothing new. But I do like those piston. I might try em if I blow my Vito's up.
  11. Now, I've heard that the friction modifiers in synthetic engine oil bonds to the clutch plates and makes them slip. So I don't use synthetic oil in my tranny for that reason alone. My clutch slips enough as it is! I use the cheapest crude oil I can find. Like the walmart brand 89 cents a quart 10w40 oil. Nothing like running dead dino's in your tranny and a 3 dollar oil change! But I blew my tranny up and smoked the shit out of my clutch. Then again I don'tr baby my machine. It's good to change your tranny oil after every race. But I'm lazy and I don't change it until it's black from clutch fibers...usually every month. So burning 2 bucks on a quart of "specialy formulated" tranny lube gets a bit expensive. Now I've also heard of people running Dextron/Mercon III in their trannies with much luck. But you can't beat the walmart special for the price.
  12. I'm a fan of Motul. But oil is like religion, you use what you were raised to use, unless your an athiest, then you ride a 4stroke. MUAHAAA Dude that new suzuki kicks ass!
  13. So I grenaded my tranny and I need to replace everything inside it. Seems a screw sheared off my clutch basket gear and wreaked havoc on all my internals. So if I am to be replacing everything. Might as well make it better! I've heard of people changing their gear ratio's inside the tranny. I want to do this. Who makes these kits? Can I custom order the parts? Anyone have any good tranny parts they are looking to unload? I would like to get more speed out of the engine, Make first gear pull like second, since I never use 1st gear anymore, then smooth out the transition from 3rd to 4th and give 6th a little more pull. Has anyone modified their internals before? Who can give me some good advice BEFORE I sink too much moneyand end up with a hunk of crap and have to sink more moneyto fix it back to normal?
  14. Movin from central jersey (New Brunswick) to Arizona (Pheonix)
  15. I served 6 years in the Army. Granted I didn't like trhe army, but to say that kind of shit about people he doesn't even know? That's wrong beyond all mesure. I wouldn't even kill him, that's giving the man too much respect. Just lock him in a cell and keep him there to rot alone. Make him wish he was dead. You don't say that kind of shit! He knows nothing of what he is talking about. The troops are sons and daughter of every citizen of this country, to call them idiots, you are calling yourself an idiot. That is wrong, it is so wrong.People don't join the service for money! There is no money! It's not about money. Troops are underpaid as it is. And everyone knows this.
  16. That or the case mating surfaces were not properly prepared and the sealent oozed out. But you are correct, the crank seal on the clutch side is 99% of the time the culprit to this problem.
  17. Ok...Since you don't race, and ya ride trails. Stick with a 20 in tire on 10 inch rims. Nothin smaller. I run 18x9 holdshot mx and they hook up GREAT but off the track, all the rocks and sticks and deep mud of the trails really doesn't do me any good. If ya race. 18 inch is the best way to go. The 19 inch seems like a compromise. Your skid plate will hit everything and with 18inch tires, it sits only an inch off the ground. Keep this in mind.
  18. I'll buy it fo 500 dollars!!
  19. I need more front brakes!! I'm thinkin of gettin a better master cylinder. Or using streetbike calipers...somethin..stock front brakes are a little weak.
  20. Stock impellar is pretty tough...Mine was going strong for 14 years before I replaced it with a pro design one. Nothing wrong with it when I pulled it out. Your going to have to pull the side case off to inspect it. Perhaps you just crapped out that cheesy plastic gear on the end. Check your bearings, a seized bearing will cause the pump to lock up and chew the gear up. It's a simple and relitively inexpensive fix.
  21. If it's alot of oil, then your ventin crank pressure into the tranny, which means you got a bad seal. If it's minor like say a few drops here and there...nothing to worry about. All banshee's do it, but rare that someone notices.
  22. I'm movin from shithole NJ to Arizona! Who's in the Phenonix area that can show me around to all the riding areas? I'm lookin fer someone to ride with.
  23. my mangura clutch finally shit itself after 3 years of dedicated work. I no longer get any pressure in the line. Think the actuator seals crapped out. But I cannot find any info on Mangura, I can't find the website, nor have I the phone number. Who can help me out?
  24. Chevy or Ford? That's the diffrence
  25. If it's not aluminum, then it's your gears. When you shift hard and slam it in gear, you can chip them. Perhaps that's where the metal's comin from.
