I kick for days and my banshee will not start. In order to start it i have to get it pulled everytime and it seems i have to pull it further and longer everytime. After its warmed up it runs and kick starts fine.
I looked in a manual i have for solutions and it says it could be a fuel issue, compression issue, electrical issue, and or a spark plug issue. I checked my compression, 118 and 120 at sea level, and the plugs have a spark. So i've deduced that its either a fuel or electrical issue.
I believe it could be the cdi magneto, ignition coil, or something with the carbs. I've read some of the threads and am now starting to doubt its a magneto problem if i read correctly; if the plugs have a spark then the magneto must be okay? If not please clarify what the magneto does and if bad, is it enough to cause it not to kick start cold. I also have yet to clean the carbs to see if that helps cause i dont want to waste time if it doesnt sound like its the problem.
So this is where i am. I dont want to take it to a shop and end up spending the same amount fixing it, as ill eventually be selling it for. I just want to get it starting reliablly so i can sell it. So if anyone could help with a cause or solution to my problem, i'd appreciate it.
