  1. anyone notice any glitches? when hauling ass in a car or motorcycle, the sides of the road will just start to blur and look like crap. also I killed a fellow grove street homie that I recruted and his body doesn't disappear.
  2. I always wanted to make a trip out to kermit. Unfortunetly, it wont be this thanksgiving. I see myself making a trip out there though within the next 2 years for sure.
  3. Humble texas ehh? do you do any racing at hmp? back to the main topic. Go with the 15 tooth unless you don't like seeing 6th gear. It isn't going to pull the 16 tooth up front.
  4. agreed. john is a great guy. he hooked me up with a free kill switch. Oh yea, I sent $10 even though the shipping was only $5.85. there isn't anywhere else I could have picked up a kill switch for $10.
  5. better late than never, happy birthday john
  6. banchetta thanks for the book. I guess I'll have to take a serious look into getting a new head. My problem is just like the one you described. The power lags only right before it comes on the pipe. I've toyed with needles long enough. It only runs worse when I go richer on them.
  7. I think it's pretty cool that atvsport covered asphalt drag racing in the new issue. Especially since they covered my home track. I haven't been out there in a while ( My shee runs, but I want to get the 34mm carbs on and get some cut t3's before I get it out there again.) The article gives a broad overview of how atv asphalt racing works. Anyway just had to get that out. I'm shootin for the mid to low 8's when I do get everything the way I want it. I guess anything in that range would be respectable for a mild stock length 350 without a wheely bar. Oh the one thing that did piss me off was all the pictures of the four strokes. Granted there are some really fast four strokes that run at hmp, the didn't have one picture of the quad that dominates 1/8th mile asphalt. (the banshee of course)
  8. for the flats, gear it higher. you don't need as much torque when switchin from gear to gear on the flats because you don't loose the momentum that you would shooting up a steep dune. obviously for hill shooting gear it down too keep the gear ratios closer together.
  9. Banchetta I noticed on your stroker motor, you have a dip right before it comes on the pipe. Were you ever able to get rid of that dip with jetting changes? I can feel the dip on my ported stock stroke motor. If I roll on the throttle, the dip isn't nearly as bad, but when I go wfo on the throttle when I'm off the pipe, it'll hit that dip. It just sorta sputters until the motor revs past the flat spot. Do you know what is causing this or how to get rid of it?
  10. This thread sure got ugly quick. I'm going to stay out of this one.
  11. 5mm stroker? I didn't know a 5mm stroker for a banshee existed. Are you sure your crank isn't just a long rod?
  12. this one is easy guys 1. pro flow air intake and pipes 2. port work 3. suspension 4. carbs 5. bling
  13. looks like someone opened up those intakes a ton. between the size of those intake ports, the 34mm carbs, and with the exhaust duration being unknown, they all decrease bottom end power. do as ssd said and measure from the top of the ports to the top of the cylinder. these #'s should help determine what kinda port job you have after the durations are calculated. give us the #'s, and we'll get the duration for you.
  14. dude you guys are lucky it's startin to cool off. round these parts, the highs are in the high 80's low 90's.
  15. I'm just so happy that I found the hq when I did. It's a great place to bs and learn something. There are so many great people associated with this site. I can't even begin to name them all. You know who you are though.
  16. If you had it shaved and had the squishband reworked for the smaller combustion chamber, I don't see why you couldn't use a stock head. I'd reccomend you get that done though by somebody that knows his shit. There is alot more to the combustion chamber than alot of people realize.
  17. dunereview.com is a good place to learn about where to camp and when to go to St. A's. You'll find your answers there.
  18. hahahahahhahahahahahhahaaha. hahahahaha. haha. o shit, hahaha. I'll throw in a hahahah as well. loco really used it after all.
  19. try a 300 and work down depending on how it runs. the main jets are located at the bottom of the carbs. You have to remove the four screws that keep the float bowl mounted to the rest of the carb. The main jet is located right in the middle. It'll be one of the first things you see after getting the float bowl off.
  20. lol. the rat bastard has been caught. I was always sorta suspicious of the guy, but he is getting better at hiding his true identity.
  21. I just discovered that there was an old acoustic guitar in the attic. I got it down and tuned it using the 5th fret 4th fret deal. I don't really got a clue about chords and scales yet. I have some reading to do. I've been using a nickel as a pick right now lol. I'm on my way to rockin on. I'll probably pick up an electric when I have some money. Rock on.
