  1. sounds like I need some larger carbs. your theory sounds pretty good. I'm probably just drowning the motor with fuel it doesn't know what to do with until it gains some revs. I'll tinker with the air screws and see what happens, but chances are I wont get rid of this completely.
  2. I guess I could be a tad lean needle wise, but with the needle in the stock position, I would foul plugs at half throttle over an extended amount of time. I leaned it out one clip, and I haven't fouled another plug yet. If anything, I am rich on the mains. I had 400's in there but they looked a tad lean. I bumped up the mains to 420's and while performance did go down slightly, it isn't anywhere near fouling at full throttle and I am willing to sacrifice one or two horsepower for some longevity. Maybe I should play with the air screws. I am running stock pilots with the screws turned out 1.5 turns.
  3. when I pin it in first at low rpm, it will pick up quick fall right on it's face for half a second, then hit the powerband hard. what should I play with? or is this just something that can't be jetted away.
  4. Canada, what a fuckin joke. that's all I have to say.
  5. I got it running right now. the tip of one of my needles was bent, but I had an extra laying around. I swear it's always something stupid like that.
  6. just wondering, but does brooke have a banshee or does she just help the forum run smoothly?
  7. Kerry is a sleeze that can't make up his mind on anything. He says whatever will get him the most votes. For all of you anti bush guys, how do you think gore would have handled the 9-11 attacks? The economy would have crashed just the same if he was in office. Bush doesn't get enough credit for keeping this country together after the attacks. Americans in general just want to get by as easy as they can and get rich and retire at 50. As a democrat once said in the 1960's, "ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country" JFK. Over the years democrats started to selling out to special intrest groups and they started to change their beliefs and values. All of a sudden, we are handing out more welfare checks than ever and we have more people bitchin everyday because they can't retire at 50 or they aren't getting payed enough. And the reason health care is so damn expensive is because we are paying for the people that can't afford it. Natural Selection says let them die, but this is america and that isn't "politically correct". What needs to happen is the government slashing spending, invest what they do spend in technology to manufacture things cheaper, quit giving out wellfare checks to people that show no motivation in getting a job, allow gay marriage but provide the queers no tax breaks for being married and not allow them to adopt kids, threaten to nuke the whole damn middle east excpet israel unless they decide to surrender now, get rid of gun control but support the safe use of firearms, and become one badass united nation that isn't afraid to give a little when we are in tough times. Well that's what I would do if I was elected. f*ck the politically correct bull shit. p.s. None of this will ever get accomplished no matter who is elected. let's just try to keep it the way it is now instead of losing more rights. VOTE BUSH
  8. Frocashmoney: I had a trip the ER not to long ago for somethin stupid too. It had to do with a banshee and a hole in the ground I didn't see until it was too late. Led: That is some loose ass tang.
  9. I think you have to register on planet sand to view the link.
  10. damn you must have been here a long time. lol I pretty much joined this site after I bought my banshee. And I am here to stay for a long time. The people here will keep you hanging around.
  11. I'm really pissed off now. I can get rid of the crappy power right before it gets on the pipe. It sucks. I don't really know what to do now. I am going to try to find a dyno in the houston area and jet it there. I've had the needle in every position and it still doesn't pull right.
  12. I moved the clip all the way up in the leanest posistion and the motor reved out quicker when I had it wfo, but I did a plug chop at half throttle and the plugs were starting to turn a light gray. I have concluded that my main is probably too big and that the lean needle let the motor rev quicker at wfo by reducing the amount of gas entering the cylinder. So now I am going to try to bring the clip down a couple 2 slots to the stock posistion and go down a size or two on the mains.
  13. Ok I think I got the main down. It's at 400 right now and it pulls strong real strong. Now the needle is another story. I moved the needle down to the lowest setting and it doesn't pull strong at all. It just sorta pings and builds rpm sorta slow. The thing is though is that I did a plug chop though at half throttle and the plugs were dark and wet. I turned the air screws out two turns and it helped it some but it still isn't cured. Should I try moving the clip up? Turn the air screw out some more? It idles and starts easily if that helps any.
  14. This is gunna be a long list. Primus Chevelle Staind Metallica Led Zepplin Stevie Ray Vahn Disturbed Alien Ant Farm Tool/Perfect Circle Velvet Revolver STP Un Loco Slipknot Puddle of Mud Alice in Chains Black Sabbath Breaking Benjamin and more that I am forgetting
  15. Yea you hit it on the head. I went back out there to tinker with the carbs and noticed that I had plugged the tors wires together. When I plugged them in earlier today I thought it was a headlight plug that came loose. As far as the motor racing like it is, I just think that that's the way the port job has effected it. It is using the air/fuel mixture far more efficiently than it was with stock porting so that's what I think the quick and somewhat high revs are from.
  16. They have been missing you over at texasatvs. We should go riding sometime. I'm north of houston.
  17. How did you know it was me? Your location says central Cali and your profile says you like beaches, jeeps, and banshees. Put them together and you have drtyjeepgrl and dancingqueen.
  18. Welcome to the hq DQ. The only girl that I have ever seen on here is Sredish's wifey. She only posts when he is hurt or trying to be a pimp. Don't be shy though.
  19. I think I am do for some larger pilots. I've played with the idle and air screws and nothing helps at all. I won't even try to idle on its own. It just shuts off when I let off the throttle. When I barley get on the throttle though just to where it clicks, the motor snaps really hard and the rpm really starts to race. Are these symptoms of needing new pilots?
  20. Defintely race them up the hills. Thumpers do much better in the flats than they do hill shooting. I've seen some piped raptors not make it up choke while piped banshees pull the hill no problem. High rpm torque is what makes two strokes climb shit better than them thumpers.
  21. I will agree with yall that Bush hasn't been the President he should have been, but he is the better of two evils. Politics these days are all fucked up. The social security system is a bust and it should of ended after WW2. The economy would be much better if people were allowed to invest their own money where they want it and pass it down to their children when they die instead of the government cashing in. No matter how bad you think Bush is though, you can't deny that the country would probably convert to communism quicker if Kerry were to run the country. It really has gone to hell though and I think Texas should be it's own nation again. We enough oil to last us another 300 years and we all got guns. We also have pretty much the same values from person to person and from family to family. I wish all the liberals would move off and form their own country or move to Canada.
  22. fun game and the password is getumout.
  23. Bush without a doubt. If Kerry gets elected, the country will slowly start turning into Canada. The government will start wipeing our asses and paying our salary and we will eventually become communist. Government control is bad. And the sierra club can just fuckoff.
  24. Those are some good numbers. That seems like a very torquey 4mm. I'm suprised that the bigger carbs helped low end torque more than they did at higher rpm. I am also suprised that you only gain a peak horse going to a set of 33's. I guess the money I was saving for carbs should go to a head with changeable domes.
  25. I think you'd have to be insane not to laugh at that. I started laughing before the sounds even started. At one point it sounds like a banshee right on the edge of being on the pipe. I love the way mine sounds right before it's on the pipe. You know that you can just give it a tad more throttle and it's pullin hard.
