  1. It has 15/39 on it and with 22's on it it has the fastest top speed of any thing at the drags. [it's not the quickest by any means.] Gear selection is too important for my liking being that I am a 4 stroke guy at heart.
  2. I've got a 55hp Banshee and want to run 22" tires in back [for clearance]. I plan on just general duning, not hill-shooting. What gearing do you guys suggest? What if I run 20's, how will that change the gearing choice? What is stock? Thanks in advance, -RT
  3. I've got them for sale on Ebay but would sell them for a good offer. They can be seen here.
  4. 1. My old neighbor won the last AMA 500 class MX championship on a KX500 in 1994. 2. XR 650's are the king of the desert. PERIOD. 3. KTM's enduro bikes are awesome for eastern woods, owned 2 300exc's. Best 2 wheeler I ever owned. Sold it within a month of living in Arizona. Not enough beans in the pot for 10 miles of deep sand washes. 4. KTM's get their ass handed to them in the desert, so do CR 500's. KX500's still have a big following and are very cheap to race 5. Best thing I've heard on this site or any other in the last year; " I don't know anyone willing to race a KX in Supercross" I've got one word for you - BUBBA. I'm glad Ricky left Honda so he can blame Suzuki for losing to Kawasaki just like McGrath did when Emig beat him. Bubba is from another Planet. 6. Works bikes from the mid 80's are just as fast as todays mxer's. The 86 RC250 was magnesium, titanium, aluminum and unobtanium. It weighed 195lbs. Todays 250 bikes weigh 20lbs more. Two stroke tech has been in stasis for years. Yamaha guys ran the 94 jug on their 250's for 5 years. The 96 CR250 was impossible to find used after they released the 97 and 98 CR's. They [the 96's] were so much better for mx that Honda guys were buying all the used ones they can find. It took Honda till '02 to get back to the level of the 96 in most peoples opinion. 7. The winner of every GNC mile event in the last umpteen years was on an XR750 Harley. Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki have all tried to useat the old hippy cycle with nutin' to show for their efforts. Sometimes old technology is just as good as cutting edge. 8. Did I mention BUBBA? Wait, watch and weep.
  5. I have for sale: AC 6 pack rack. $55 shipped Armidillo heavey duty swing arm skid plate $45 shipped Advantage nerf bars with black nets. $110 shipped All are in fine working condition. They came off a bike which was mostly used @ the Dunes. I have pictures and will gladly send them to you if you leave an email. THX, -RT
  6. Just got a new cascade cover and don't want to tear up my current cover which is in mint condition. I need the base, latch and foam. If you've got an old junker laying around that the wife has been yelling about, I'm the guy that will save your marriage.
  7. If you have a set, name your price. I need the graphics and the seat cover.
  8. I'm looking for a set from last year [or maybe older] They are in White brothers current catalog. they can be seen in PDF here You may have to scroll down to the UFO fender section. Soes anyone have any idea where I can find this set?
  9. Thanks Demon, Will definitely be doing that, the Blaster's hubs are brand new aftermarket items. One more question: Are the axles the same??
  10. Thanks for the response guys. The shocks are?? I've got a 240mx Blaster with Stadium Series shocks. Was hoping we could use the fronts off it and have them re-sprung / valved for use on the Banshee in the dunes. Is that possible?
  11. Are any of these parts interchangable tween a Blaster and a Banshee? -Shocks -Bumper -Steering stem -Grab bar -Swingarm skid plate
  12. Actually, It's I-44 to I-40 to I-17 to I-10.
  13. Happy belated B-Day Walt, Walt, I met you at Silver Lake back in '99. Me and my 2 friends were from Indiana. 2 of us had 440ex(s) and my other friend had a 350x. We went on a couple of rides with you, chased Alain and his Drakarts around and were at the top of dune jumping when the kid from Wisconsin (I believe) landed on the doofus who stopped right in the landing area. Anyways, you let me ride your 370 that day and I've never forgotten it. Been on some fast bikes at Glamis but none that I liked as much as yours. They say you never forget your first, I guess they're right. Well I moved to Arizona in '00 to be closer to the big sand and today bought my first Banshee. It's gonna be tough waiting till October to ride it. Once again, Happy B-Day and thanks for the ride, Rob Towery
