  1. you mean 3's right? I've been doing some reading on ps about this engine. It seems pretty wild to say the least. I guess the only thing trx about the engine though is the cases maybe?
  2. I believe the biggest mikuni hex jet available is a 500. I'd say look for some carbs. I picked up a set of 34mm mikuni vm's off ebay for $60. The best thing about them is that I can use the same mains from the stock carbs with the new 34's.
  3. I was thinking an acoustic would be nice to start out with because you could play it anywhere without the need of an amp. I sort of want to be different though and buy a bass. Alot of people here have acoustics and electrics. Can anyone get me pointed in the right direction? This is going to be my first guitar. Thanks.
  4. here is how the tusk bars look installed
  5. no problems mounting everything on the bars here.
  6. over the phone, I doubt yall would have gotten the same service. Maybe I'm just misinformed or something, but from what I have heard about the customer service at trinity is that it's crappy at best. I'm glad yall like your trinity motors though.
  7. 125 hp out of a 4mm? maybe with some methanol and a good sized shot of nitrous. I'll have to see it to believe it as well.
  8. If you want to go cheap with a good clean look, you could go tusk. I think they were $30 shipped from rmatv and they look pretty nice. I'll see if I can post a pic of them tomorrow. Mine are cr high bends though cause they didn't have the atv bend in stock.
  9. I'd say ditch the plate and get the head cut to work with the extra stroke. I'd run two gaskets though with a plate.
  10. come on now. I'm all alone BUMP
  11. you can't even compare the two. one offers port work in stages and wont talk with you over the phone about any concerns you have while the other will talk with you for hours. Even if there are some people that can't get their motor dialed in, I'd say a passion motor with a huge dead spot would still run alot better than a trinity motor. Since when has trinity been fast anyway?
  12. They could be a set of unstamped cpi's too.
  13. I ran a tusk clutch kit with ebc springs for a couple months now with no problems with fading or grabing. For the money, the tusk is hard to beat. $40 shipped to your door with everything included from rocky mountain.
  14. lol dickrider oh the memories...
  15. I think it's probably caused by casting flaws in the cylinders. My banshee used to smoke more out of the left pipe, but since the port work, it has stopped.
  16. good buy man. every now and then you get a good deal on ebay. I got one with my carbs. 3 34mm mikuni roundslides for $60. They were off a pwc but I think I can get them to work. to good ebay deals.
  17. I have the same infamous midrange bog too with my shee. It isn't a passion motor either. It runs good up top and the plugs look great with 460 (yes 460) mains on stock carbs. I'm not even going to attempt to get it running the way it should be until I get some 34mm intake manifolds and a set of cut t3's. I got 34mm roundslide mikunis too so I guess I'll be the second person with these carbs trying to get them jetted right. I guess I'll be posting in this thread more when the time comes. I know how yall feel though. I spent alot of time changing out needles, syncing the carbs, and changing out mains without getting rid of the bog.
  18. locogato has a cr500 banshee. he'll probably find this thread and give you the lowdown.
  19. the satisfaction of porting your own jugs though is a good feeling I'd imagine. While you are grinding away though, port match the cases and get rid of all the casting flaws. Most of them will be in the transfer area at the bottom of the cylinders. I'd do some reading too on what you are actually trying to accomplish by porting your cylinders. macdizzy.com has some good information and pictures with good explanations. the guys at planetsand.com could give you some pointers too.
  20. Don't miss a shift. It'll be a close race.
  21. any other mods? what surface are you racing on? how long is your banshee? generally speaking though, you take off in the highest gear your banshee has the power to take off in.
  22. at most, you'll only get a few hours of hard riding in before running out of gas. banshee's are thirsty beasts to say the least.
  23. I can tell you right now a gnarly piped banshee would whoop the crap out of a stock piped banshee.
  24. I've had a prarie 700 between my legs only once. I never got to open it up since I was at a hunting lease, but it felt pretty strong. It's pretty sad though when you get your ass handed to you by a 600+ pound utility quad. You really can't define your quad high performance if you get beat by a 4wd hunting/work rig IMO.
  25. well some people are sorta dumb when they post that they are .20 over and stuff like that. they mean that they are actually .020 over in inches. a .010 over motor would be equivalent to a motor bored .25mm over. If people were actually bored out .20 over and had a stock stroke crank, they'd have a motor that was bored 5mm wider than stock giving them a whopping displacement of 403 cubic centimeters.
