your clutch side crank seal could be leakin too. that would suck cause you are going to have to split the case to put in a new one. or you could just be jetted rich.

I don't really think you have to run 112 race gas with 20cc domes. I was thinking along the lines of 93 mixed with some race gas. also, why did you polish the intake port?

This might be a tad late, but you have a very nice banshee Walter. I've been busy the last few days so I didn't get to see this thread till now.

grand river racing is out of michigan and they build some really fast bikes. there are a few here that have a grr motor. forcefed is one.

link you have to be a member on planetsand to view it. signing up only takes a minute or so. click on the second and third reply attachment near the top of the post to see the torque and horsepower curves. the charts will take a while to load so give it some time.

On a dyno I saw on planetsand, t6's did perform the worst out of all the pipes tested with an agressive play ported 350. Numbers were as follows, the t6's made 68 hp, t5's made 71, fatties made 72, cpi's made 72.5, and shearers made 73. The problem with the t6's is that the don't rev out like the other pipes and they sign off really quick. The fatties signed out 1000rpm later than the t6's and they actually made the most torque out of all the other pipes. T5's revved out a tad longer than the fatties did but they didn't make enough torque to take advatage of the extra 400rpm they pulled over the fatties. Cpi's and the shearers revved out well over 10,000rpm and they put out a smooth torque curve from about 7000rpm up. Cpi's peaked at around 10,500 while the shearers pulled an extra thousand rpm on the cpi's. I'll post a link to the dyno tomorrow. You have to sign up on planetsand to view the dyno though.

I don't really think you can go wrong with an aftermarket shifter for only $20. I was thinking about getting one until banshee370 hooked me up with a free stock shifter.

I don't have a clue what size pilot is in my banshee. I haven't really cared since it always starts easy. My banshee used to pull really weak right before you got on the pipe but with the screws all the way in, it pulls alot stronger. I am currently running 420 mains, needles on the second clip from the blunt end, and who knows what the pilot size is. I am running a ported 350 with fmf gold series pipes and a k&n with no lid. It pulls great at all throttle positions now and the plugs look dark brown at wfo. Basically I need a smaller pilot right?

If you truely have 70hp, you should be running in the high 4's in a 300ft drag with a set of tires that hook well. You stated in another thread that you are running low 6's. Something is wrong here. Hell a stock banshee with some pro wedges will run in the high 5's.

Time to bust out the micrometer.

I honestly don't think that you see 6th gear with a 17 tooth front. I'd go to a 16/41 setup and hope it pulls sixth. Et's will probably be in the 15's. Maybe high 14's if your lucky. Or you could just race 1/8th mile. Banshee's and other quads in general fair much better over shorter distances.

Instead of buying a proflow kit, I just put some sylicon around the edges of the plate. Saved me whatever the proflow kit costs anyway. Just a suggestion.

get your shee ported. and swing both if you want the 450 that bad. sounds like you have alot of cash into your shee. It would be a shame to sell such a sweet bike.
