  1. I would think that the windows would leave more room for the charge to be stuffed in the crankcase. Where there is not piston there is air. JMO.

    Porting cub

If its a 421 Cub I would maximize the potential of the unported motor and setup before porting. Make sure the domes are set up correctly. If its strictly a ridgid drag bike I would work on the chassis setup, tires, clutch and gearing. If its a stock chassis, buy a ridgid, or make the stocker as light as you can get it. If you've done all of that or believe you've already made it as fast as you can, then go with PPS for the porting.
  3. I have several sets of VF2s and I didn't know there was a special gasket. I bought them all used. I don't run those big gaskets. Maybe I need to.
  4. You can usually get domes from Noss in a couple of days.
  5. I wouldn't go billet on 14 or 16 mil due to weight. Jmo.
  6. I wondered when someone was gonna do that.
  7. I don't know. 525 is not a common build. Neither is 650 cc, 900 cc.
  8. That's been drilled on but it's just an oil hole.
  9. Did you take that picture in the dark? Best I can tell it looks like something let go. It usually only gets one side though. What did the spark plugs look like? Burnt? Smashed? Porcelain gone?
  10. Bearing support not needed with that motor. Nice cover though!
  11. Fack. My inbox is full. Ok. I'll delete some.
  12. 421 Cub complete motor with lockup and 2-5 nd override. 38 mm alky pwks, CPI out each side ready to go. $3000.
  13. What am I missing? Looks like a typical lightened stocker to me.
  14. It would be mass genocide if everyone that owed me money ......... I don't wish that on anyone. And we ain't talking about $20 or even $100, or $1000.
  15. Run the kill switch wires to each of the red wires from the coils. No need for 2 or the diodes. And your gonna need a dial indicator to get the timing "right", a spare coil, spare stator, for troubleshooting when it won't start, an alleged coil to motor to chassis ground. And last, an entire OEM ignition to put back on it and have it actually run good.
  16. Leaky carbs and crack on top of the case or missing seal around the clutch actuator arm??? No way a bad crank seal is doing that, IMO.
  17. Why go with stock crank? Not much of a sleeper with stock crank. A sleeper with big carbs and drag pipes is already at least assumed to be a stock stroke drag port. You're the guy the sleepers are pretending to be!
  18. Not what you want to hear, but buy some 41.3 mm Lectrons and have it tuned quick.
  19. I have a 514 cc purposely build for that class. It will run low 3.6s when I get it lined out. I see no reason to settle for a 465 cc when the class allows 525 cc. That being said, I think the 10 Mil 425 cc motor would be good as well. Especially since Jason Menz has pretty much retired his 421 cc.
  20. Here's my favorite, lol. Although K&T matched it exactly. #83 my 643 vs K&T 775 in qualifying. Nice pics Dave.
  21. I didn't see you mention leak down test. Did a rat build a nest in your pipes while you had lunch? Did you pull the head? Is it sucking water?
