  1. Not enough to matter.
  2. That's maybe a tad high on the squish but doesn't explain your low PSI. Did you kick it over at WOT until the gauge stopped moving? What was the ring end gap? Was it bored at a machine shop that had the pistons on hand to measure? Was it honed?
  3. I hadn't thought about buying it separate like that. Will that work with stock hub?
  4. 337-342-9648. Damian.
  5. It's in pieces right now.
  6. I have everything minus spindle mount fronts and radiator for $4000. Motor is 421 Cub. Closest I'll be to Amarillo is the Gilbert or Atoka race though. 24 out front and +8 I think out back with wheelie bar included.
  7. Sounds like you're running 795 pistons on 110 mm rods.
  8. We've talked about that too.
  9. 25 when I joined BHQ
  10. Use your mph, tire height and gearing calculator to get your approximate rpm. I'm not sure how much those tires grow, or if you need to add that in to the tire diameter. STY would likely know that.
  11. I have seen brand new aftermarket stators do that.
  12. $$$$$$$&
  13. Yep. I just put a power commander v on it. It needs a map though. I haven't tuned it you can buy the auto tune, but I didn't want to spend the extra since I'm selling it.
  14. Fack. I hated to quote that long post but it's all true. FACT: at a decent sized race at Leerjak (still Planet Sand then I think) they had hundreds if not a 1000+ of people at that park that weekend Riding the 2000 acres of trails, camping in the nearly 100 campsites, etc. They have several bleachers on the spectator side of the track. I don't recall more than a handful (if any) that cared to be there at bleachers. The Stamper guy ran 3.06@106 (yes, he was wearing full leather suit, etc) and I'm not sure anyone was even spectating or cared (besides racers) when he ran that. That park is always full, and folks would rather play in the mud or on the trails than watch us race. Now if it was recorded that may be a different story, but as mentioned there is SO much down time due to track prep. Way more time watching the water truck, tractor, box blade, etc., than racing. This is the reason no one watches (and no media) I believe. Not the above mentioned safety issues, as windy mentioned.
  15. Good to know someone's making these again. Haven't they been difficult to get for a while now?
  16. You can't just throw a stock stroke Cub on a 4 mil crank, even if the head is right.
  17. Most of PSDA is west of the Mississippi. We'll race y'all any day though.
  18. No disrespect. I thought this was about the current drag racing organizations (if you want to call them that).
  19. You have people here with no intention of ever attending a single sanctioned drag race event. That was my point. I don't disagree with you at all.
  20. I've raced decent size races where people who lived less than 10 miles from the track and Drag race cars didn't even know we existed. It's not a spectator sport at all. If you're not a racer, for the most part you're not there.
  21. For the record we wear helmets, long sleeves, pants, etc, that are required. Even if you have a set of armor on, you could still get hurt in a wreck. If all of this fuss is for someone to where a helmet, neck brace, boots, long sleeve jacket, and pants I'm ok with that. It's just all of you people who have never been to a race are the ones preaching it.
  22. Ok. Some math nerd needs to do a statistical analysis of how many passes have been made, and how many wrecks. Especially wrecks where mentioned safety equipment would have prevented such wrecks or injuries due to such wrecks. Again, I'm not opposed to proper safety equipment. The very few wrecks and injuries I have seen would not have been prevented, however.
  23. Why do you wear a seatbelt? Or a rubber? I'm not disagreeing with the logic, just that some are acting like its a death trap to race a mere 300 feet.
  24. Not to downplay the safety, but if a track is prepped properly, bikes tend to go straight with near zero chance of wrecking.
