  1. I have a "back pack" of sorts, it was designed for snowboaders but fits my needs. Has a pouch for my cammel back bladder, comfy shoulder, waist, sternum straps, and enough secure pockets for the essentials. It's not bulky at all and the straps allow me to secure it to my back with little movement while riding.
  2. The all out drag guys cry about the woops (however you spell them) sometimes they even drag a smoothing devise over them behind a truck (on the right side of olds as you look at the hill - where the really fast bikes run) For the rest of the hill no one bothers trying to smooth them out. Personally they don't bother me, with a little skill and good suspension they just make it more fun.
  3. I used to have T5's with them I ran some billet o ring clamps from TM design works (one piece, looked awesome, worked great) now I have shearer pipes, they have a larger stinger tube than the T5's so I now have the Cascade split clamps, I like the way they work, don't like the way they look.
  4. My builder does not like them at all, says they return too slow, I've never ran or tried one, this is just what I've been told.
  5. Get the entire UPP Racing kit, I have it and it works great. http://www.uppracing.com
  6. I got the T2's banshee bend on a Stock length lonestar anti-vibe stem, I had to machine an adapter to fit the tag bar clamp to the anti-vibe mount (Raised the bars about 1/2" works good for me I'm only 5'10") got the tag grips too.. Love the whole set up.
  7. If the axle has excessive end play start by making sure your lock nut is tight. If you end up replacing the bearings a press will help.
  8. Try looking into the major race fuel manufacturers (Vp, Sunoco, Unocal, Trick etc..) spec's or FAQ's this may provide some answers, if nothing else it will give you some more information.
  9. I would urge you to look into the specifications of the fuels in question. My understanding is that "Av Gas" can be different from one place to another. VP racing fuels (what I run) publishes their fuels spec's for the consumer to make an informed decision. It is also important to keep in mind that octane rating and motor octane are two different numbers, and should be looked at closely.
  10. Just to clear this up, a resivior will not affect the pre-load one bit. This is also wrong. Compression or rebound adjusters on a propperly set up shock will not reduce the amount of travel.
  11. I'd try the O ring (if it's replaceable) and a new gasget where the petcock meets the tank first, cheaper than replacing the petcock itself.
  12. You will ned the bushings and the caps for a propper install.
  13. Try doing a search for "kenedy engineered products" or "advance adapters" I can't find the web sites right now. Kenedy will probably be your best bet.. For general parts check out "Prowlers speed and custom" (search again - sorry) they carry a huge line of parts for do it yourself entry level sand cars.
  14. http://www.atvfourplay.com That's where I got mine.
  15. It is unfortunate. But ouch, their prices were HIGH.
  16. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Make sure you have plenty of cold beer on hand.
  17. That will change once you go to remove your old axle, better take some vitamins with that Mcdonald's.
  18. I call them dental floss.
  19. I guess if you realy like toomey's products get one. I'd say for that type of advertising they should throw one in with every set of pipes. I had mine made by "Kara" at razorback designs, she can do anything you can dream up, plus she is able to match fullbores colors (for those of you with fullbores) names, designs, gripper sides / tops, carbon fiber looking material etc... http://www.razorbackdesigns.com
  20. Thanks, so do I.
  21. I understand that some people do this "swap" in an effort to widden the rear stance of the bike without purchasing a wider axle.
  22. Either one, the important thing being that the shock is valved / sprung for for your weight, riding style, bikes swing arm length, and the intended terrain.
  23. Well I have about 9 grand in the bike, then I bought a Weekend Warrior toy hauler trailer to take the bike / camp in the dunes in comfort and a Dodge truck to pull the traailer with the bike to the dunes. Only to add insult to injury I purchased everything new, and financed the truck and trailer, so if I added everything up including the finance charges (interest) I probably have.......oh shit, never mind, I don't want to know. But hell it's fun, and the sad part is I'm getting ready to buy a bigger truck and bigger trailer. Some one help me!
  24. Try doing a search, I posted pictures in the images section a while back, I don't want to be a "check out my banshee picture whore". If you can't find them then I guess I'll turn into a pic ho.
  25. A plug comming loose can cause an air leak, thus producing an extremly lean condition, we all know lean = BAD. I would think that is where your trouble started.
