As most of you have read by now Stan (cotton eyed joe) makes some awesome billet products for the banshee, well I already had all the billet I could think of but I was missing a little something. I saw a picture of one of Stan's rear grab bars and decided I needed one, sent Stan an e-mail and we worked out the design. I explained that I wanted fender support brackets, mounts for the stock tail light (I have a license plate of sorts that my green sticker is displayed on that mounts to the stock tail light) whip / flag mounts and some "flush mount" lights in the center section of the bar itself - NO PROBLEM was his reply! Stan kept me updated on the progress of the bar via e-mail ( he had other jobs going and I was in no hurry) and when it was finished he shipped it to me nicely packaged as not to scratch any of the polished surfaces. Shipping was fast, fitment was excellent, and Stan was easy to deal with throughout the entire process. So now I have a custom made one of a kind grab bar made to my specifications all for a hell of a price. Bottom line is Stan's products are top quality, priced fairly, and hell he will do custom work to your spec's like it's no trouble. I would suggest that any one looking for custom billet parts for their bike to contact him, you will not be dissapointed.

I do ride in the desert from time to time, plus while in the sand I like tho keep the rear sprocket and rotor out of the sand. It is aluminum. Their design is different from others that I've seen in that it has a large integraded "shield" that covers the front portion of the rear brake rotor. It is part # YAMA-UM-YBA-410 and can be seen at http://www.umracing.com

Take a look in the "for sale" section, there are 2 sets of chrome T5's listed currently. Installlation is a snap.

Not to be a dick, but are you certain that your chain is adjusted propperly? Are you using the stock rollers or aftermarket rollers?
-
For those who are interested I just ordered a "UM Racing" .190" thick rear skid plate. I'll get some pictures and post a review when I get it installed.

Get yourself a magnetic drain plug (TM Designworks has them) they are shorter and open the bypass hole in the bottom of the case, allowing the oil in the clutch side to circulate better. Have you adjusted the set screw in the center of the clutch? If it is too tight you'll smoke a clutch in a hurry.

I run Galfer pads with their "wave" rotors and have nothing but great things to say about them, no problems what so ever, I do ride 80% sand though.

Well guys I'm having a new swing arm built, staying with the +4", just a slightly different design. The new arm will have OEM style mounts for a swing arm skidplate - the smaller rear only style (I don't have one currently). So I'm looking for input from all of you. What do you have? Why do you like / dis-like it? I will post some pictures of the new swinger when complete, and will be introducing a new coating process called "powder chrome" that I will soon be offering as a service. A friend of mine has purchased the rights to this process from Pioneer ( very similar to the process of coating CD's, DVD's etc..) Better looking than chrome, as durable as powder coating with none of the nasty side effects related to the chroming process. I will have pictures and will explain the entire process later in great detail. Stay tuned.....

Congrats man, I remember my 21st like it was yesterday too, and hell I'm 28 now. Every now and then I like to pretend it's my 21st B-Day again and get dick-in-the-dirt-drunk. Happy birthday and enjoy.

I've got a stock one. Not bent, slight scratches in the chrome on the rear most portion. What will you give me?

I would suggest that you get the best set of shocks that you can afford. Granted, just about any set of aftermarket shocks will be a tremendous improvement, but it is important to keep in mind that different manufacturers have different set-ups they use for spring rates and valve codes based on their supply and what they think works best. I used to run a set of works dual rate non-reservoir, non adjustable front shocks that were "set up" for me but switched to a set of TCS dual rates with reservoirs, and compression & rebound adjustable that are "set up" for me, and the difference is night and day. Talk to the the companies that your are thinking about, explain to them what you are looking for and make your decision based on the information you get / vs price.

Most stations have 87, 89, 91 unless you are near the AZ border then you can get 100 at the pump.

DUNEDEMON replied to BansheeJerry's topic in General Banshee Discussion
AMEN BROTHER JERRY! I work in the performance suspension industry and the company I work for supports / supplies manny of the top teams with product. Love to see the real world testing, and I'm with your brother I can't stand NASCAR. The endurance stuff is cool (Sebring, LeMans, Daytona, etc..) WRC is great too, but I really love SCORE and short course desert stuff. -
Call TCS (Total Control Suspension) ask for Todd (he's the owner) and explain to him what you are looking for. You WONT be disappointed. (909) 245-7484, sorry they do not have a web site.

I personalt have never used one, but the guy who builds my motors does not like them, he says they return too slow. I have one of those "expensive shorty levers" and love it-no problems. It is made by RTC Racing products, if you are interested in information about it do a search this whole topic has been discussed before.

Have you tried calling OMF directly? (909) 354-8272

Send them back next day freight collect, that will sting his ass with a hefty freight charge, and get your point across.

I'm a NEXTEl fan too, been with them for almost 4 years now with no complaints. I also happen to like Motorola phones, used to have the "I1000+" it was a great phone full of good useful features. I now have the "I90C" it is much smaller than the I100+ but lacks some of the "quick" functions the other phone had and grew to use / like, but all in all I still like the smaller I90C. I don't think you can beat a Motorola phone.

Yeah I was there, sorry I didn't get to meet up with efward and 909, didn't know you were going to be there too Yamahammer. Efward, got your voice mail as we were leaving, my buddy crashed pretty hard, tore up his bike and broke 3 fingers, sorry I never called you back. 909, this is why we didn't meet up at Olds. Next time guys..............
