1st off welcome to the HQ. I had the motor youre talkin about and FROM experiance the CPIs i have now were tons better than my Trinity pipes. I ran 34mm mikunies and the motor responded well to them. I had a 4mm crank in with this set up and it ran hard. If anything else comes to mind let us know..... Oh BTW youll be sellin that motor for a bigger one sooner than you think lol i also ran/run redline at 40 to 1, the dome size is stamped in the front of the dome. Mic youre base gasket so they get you set up right.
I got the new hinson and love it. They did away with the rubber bumpers and went to a spring set up, still have my old one ran it for 6 yrs, no grooves that r worth mentioning, just wanted to upgrade. BTW locktite keeps the screws in nicely.
Is it filling the oil with anti freeze?If it is you need a new o ring on the tube and possibly the water pump impeller seal and bearing. NO it should not smoke real bad at least not when its warmed up. Sounds like a jetting issue
The last time I went on a big weekend we camped in 23, we had 9 motorhomes with trailers and 10 trucks with trailers. dust weasnt an issue, dunes are right there. We had no prob with theaft or any other bullshit. The fuckin train will scare the shit out you in the wee hours of the morning though LOL

Ohh snap just listened watched youre vid again, pull the fly wheel side cover off, make sure the nut is tight, ive heard that sound before and that is what is was. wont hurt to check and would explain the nasty rockin of the motor. Let us know
