  1. stock ported with TDR reeds, cheaper.
  2. I have tried several brands and have had the best luck with NGK.
  3. Tony Doukas Racing or Grand River Racing will set you up really nice at some pretty reasonable rates.
  4. Get a good service manual and break it down. It is a good experience.
  5. Not worth the money, spend it somewhere more useful as in the intake or exhaust department.
  6. There really is a difference in longevity. For the occasional trail rider, you won't notice the benefits of the o-ring. If you ride your shee hard and for a good deal of time, you should run a chain such as a Sidewinder. One advantage of an o-ringed chain is the o-ring removes direct shear force off the pins. This allows for a chain with higher tensile strength (~11000 psi for sidewinder, ~5000 psi standard chain). Stronger chain, less chance of breakage, damage to the case, and possibly you. Key idea: You get what you pay for.
  7. Destroy the cannondale blaze.
  8. In other words, what he really meant to say was, " I highly recommend that you buy the Banshee when you are ready to make your purchase."
  9. I doubt that even with porting in the dirt, that would not be enough to win.
  10. I've got a 10mm stroker crank in my of my shees in the fleet and I pretty much ride it exclusively on trails. It has so much low end, it isn't funny. 1-4 gears really hits where it hurts. I never really get the chance to go 5-6 around on the crap trails here. It is worth it. It is also worth getting a clutch hold down plate and a better basket with the wider dogs if you are considering this. It likes to eat clutches a little quicker without it.
  11. I have tried first and I agree that Fatty's are the pipe to get for future modding.
  12. yeah, is there anything wrong with it asides from not havinf the clutches, springs, pressure plates, etc. installed yet.
  13. Trinity racing sucks, they really do, but they've got a great pipe compared to the FMF.
  14. Screw Trinity. Go with Grand River Racing or Tony Doukas Racing.
  15. better stick with what is proven on this one. Water wetter
  16. I bought mine for 19.95 + 5 shipping, watch ebay from time to time.
  17. Tony Doukas Racing, 10-bearing, 350.00 although it is rebuilt, it is the shizit.
  18. Easiest way to investigate is to pull that puppy out of the frame and split the case.
  19. You just need to wait and save a little before you race. Just increase displacement to 500 cc, add nitrous, increase compression, some nice CPI pipes, and put some better gears on there. Then you will be ready.
  20. It is purely a matter of balancing performance versus longevity. I also run 32:1 ratio during the summer months when I am hard on the shee.
