  1. It depends on your intended purpose for the shee.
  2. Open up the front half of the side cover above the shaft. The impeller lies there along with its seal that I suggest you replace also.
  3. Use a sqeegee religiously to help remove trapped air bubbles.
  4. It is a silver based liquid that you apply to freshly cleaned surfaces to keep from oxidizing metal surfaces and losing conductivity aka it keeps electronics working right. You can pick some up at radio shack or any equivalent electronics store.
  5. Go to an computer store and get some cleaner for the motherboards and that type of stuff. After you clean it, it wouldn't hurt to put some silver compound on the everything to keep everything conducting like it should.
  6. Don't take the chance. Spend a little extra dough and have reassurance.
  7. Boost bottle not worth buying. I have poured over the stock parts finder at alba with no sucess. Alba stock parts finder-yamaha
  8. Both are junk, save the money for the next time you rebuild the motor and invest in porting, milling the head, and good pipes.
  9. 105 HP in a banshee is not unheard of. Spend the money in a better place, such as grand river racing or Tony Doukas. Get some Cheetah cylinders setup for a 12mm crank, add nitrous, and run fuel injection with a PVL ignition. That is a much better waste of money for an easy 130 HP.
  10. What use is this?
  11. I have never had a problem like that with Works. Did you order direct or through another party?
  12. what he said.
  13. If that fails, call summit or jegs performance. Heat tape, good up to 800 degrees C. If that doesn't do it then nothing will.
  14. always allow a warm-up period before riding a new motor (~2-3 minutes) , When you hit the throttle pretty hard, allow a cooling period were you take it a little easy on the critter.
  15. You should see some noticeable response by mid-band.
  16. 35's and CPI pipes
  17. definitely run TDR
  18. You should rebuild it, it is a great experience.
  19. better reeds, porting
  20. He treated me well too. I have bought about 7 things off of him in the last month.
  21. I really think that you should run it. You won't be disappointed on the low end.
  22. Why would you remove the powervavles to drag? It seems like all the drag shees that I see spend all of this extra cash to get a T-Rex kit, Cheetah kit, etc. because the power valves provides more power throughout the band. You need to measure the disance from the top of the cylinder down to the port to determine if you can even use a 4mm stroke in it. These monoblocks are stroke specific. As far as removing the powervalves, how long was it ran before you? I've got a set of older powervalved cylinders from an older bike and have been running them hard way past 20 hours with no problem. The CPI in-frames are an excellent choice for this setup.
  23. Tony Doukas RAcing, Grand River Racing, Directly from Hinson, and more.
