We're way before any of the pads and ya I have a hard time finding our camp at night...small chance that anybody else could. New Years doesn't look good for us right now but that may change. Possibly gonna be there on xmas though.

Talking to a girl in front of her friends is only ackward if you make it that way. Don't stroll up looking at the ground and say, "uh...do you wanna go to the movies with me or something"? If you do that then you'll have to endure that god awful teenage girl giggle from the whole pack. And you don't wanna pull her away to talk in private cuz then they're just gonna make "Oooo" sounds. Since your friends with all of them you can go and have a conversation with all of them. Talk about the match, the weather, whatever. Try to be as witty as possible. You don't have to do backflips to show off for a girl - being able to hold a conversation with her and her friends is likely to do more to impress her. Then while your sitting there shooting the shit with all her friends say "hey Jessica," (or whatever her name is), "I was wondering if you'd like to catch a movie with me this weekend." Play it cool like you were going to the movies anyway and you're just asking if she wanted to join ya. If her friends ask if they're invited too just tell them that as much as you like all of them, you were hoping to get a little one on one time with the girl in question. If she turns you down just say, "that's cool, maybe some other time...well I gotta go meet up with my buddy, you girls stay cool." Just keep the whole encounter brief. By only sticking around for a couple minutes you achieve 3 things. First, its short and sweet, no time for ackward silences. Second, it leaves her wanting more. We're on the Olds side of gecko. From the washes take sand highway towards gecko, as soon as you can see sweet maries in the distance turn left and look about 200 yards in front of you...that's us. On normal weekends we're usually the only group even in the dunes. T-day there were probably 6 or 7 other groups in the dunes within view. One camp out of 7 is alot easier than trying to find one camp among thousands in the washes.

Man I can already tell...this is gonna be just like that thread started by bronco91shee last year. Dude talking to girls is only nerve racking the first 10 times or so...might as well start now and get it over with. If you calm down a little you'd be surprised at how easy it is. Just figure, "hey i'm gonna talk to her and ask her out to lunch." She's just like you are and probably nervous as hell around guys. Just pretend she's only a friend so that you don't get all tongue-tied. Also man...think about what you wanna say. The worst thing that could happen is that you go to try and talk to her and neither of you knows what to say. Ackward silences blow more donkey dick than Led does. Just compliment her, say "you look really cute today", say "hey i'm sorry about what happenned a couple years ago", make small talk...ask her what she's been up to, how's her family doing, how's her dog, what was his name again...then just wrap it up with I'd love to catch up some more, wanna grab some lunch this weekend? Anytime the conversation dies just ask her a new question. If you pay attention to what she says and comment on her replies then before you know it you'll be having a conversation with her. Piece of cake man... Let us know how it goes ~oh and Brooke...do you like the shocker?

Most people say that if your ported and running a single carb you'll wanna use a 35mm. But more than a handful of people on here are running a single 33mm with a port job and love it. The benefits are better low/mid, quicker throttle response, easier jetting and easier to troubleshoot problems. Trinity charges something like $500 for this kit so $200 is a really good deal. I'd jump all over it but I just bought all the stuff I need to make my own.

i had 55w bulbs in my shee when I got it. You can do it but the light absolutely sucks ass. I switched out to 35w on my 2nd trip out, had to be at LEAST twice as bright with the correct wattage bulbs. Not an issue anymore...ordering my 200w stator in a couple weeks!

These things look pretty trick but I dunno who sells em for the shee. Anybody know or at least know how much money they are?

Well I've torn the whole engine apart and most of the mods I'm doing on the rebuild are to emphasize reliability. So uh...anybody wanna buy 2 clutch baskets?

That plastic mount is holding up just fine on my machine. I've got over 600 miles on the computer with no problems as of yet. I just wish my engine was as reliable as the trailtech is.

Hey now...they aren't bad on all machines. I'd imagine they'd work great on a lawnmower...or a honda. Seriously though, they work slightly better on something that doesn't have much power like 200-250 cc 4 strokes.

Just set a waypoint for the Gecko/78 intersection. If you're there on a busy weekend then you should be able to see the drags about 2 miles before you get there if coming through the dunes. If your taking sand highway then just hang a left at Gecko and ride about 1/4 mile down...can't miss it. Starts at 3pm every busy day and lasts till around sunset.

For those just hearing about all this for the first time...All this started back when Sik posted pics of herself when she was new to the HQ. I remember Brooke asking her if her boobs were bolt ons and she snapped back. Brooke recoiled and said that she was just curious and that she was all for women who wanna get implants but that was cool that Sik's were real. Somewhere along there FasterThanGrammar came in and tried to chew Brooke out for picking fights with Sik. Also Sik pulled the pics thereby making that whole thread fairly worthless. BTW I think I've still got the original pics of Sik.

That picture is of my old clutch basket. I just bought another one in only slightly better condition off of Nyuk. I'm just wondering if I pretty much wasted my time on the whole effort and should have gone with a new Hinson instead.

JKJK said I could file them down. That seems like I'd have some slop in the clutch though.

Will it affect clutch performance though?

Ok here's my old clutch basket: All those notches are knocked over and the metal is obviously worn. I just got a 'newer' basket and it also has the notches. On this clutch they're alot cleaner though. I thought that the ears were supposed to be smooth, am I wrong?

Justin's LED setup is pretty complicated. Just slapping some LED's in your bike won't get those kinds of results. I ordered some cheap LED's off ebay and rigged up a flag mount using a small RC battery pack. Pretty bright but nothing like the 1 or 3 watt ones Justin has. I'm sure he'll chime in soon and give you all kinds of specs that make no sense. Fireman...you need to know what the voltage range of your LED's are. If they're 3v LED's then you'll need a 9v resistor to run off of 12v. Another option is to wire the LED's in series. You can run four 3w LED's in series off of 12v...no resistor.

I would try to call Todd up ASAP. Who knows what happened...maybe you got sent a pair that had been sent in to be worked on instead of a new pair. I've heard nothing but good things about TCS suspension and their customer service so I doubt you'll have any problems. Post the results.

Man that was f'n funny. Sorry tit but I never forgot about it. Everytime I see a post from you I half expect you to say that you got 130 today on your yfz with that same turbo fiesta. But you definately brought some color to the HQ so its forgiven...just never forgotten.
