  1. I had mine built there and yes they are expensive. I would say they are a little overrated but Im happy with my 400 cheetah they built for me. I haven't been beat yet. the fastest thing I raced though was a bored out yfz450. I think it was a 520 or something and he kept up but I still pulled on him. I also raced a crf 450 r bored to 488 and beat him until I hit top speed and then he past me in 4th. I need to gear it higher cus I could have beat him with taller gearing. anyway I hated the customer service at trinity but they did build a good bike for me. I would have to agree with everyone else though on checking with F.A.S.T. first. from what I hear their engines are just as good if not better and probably cheaper too.
  2. I say let'em!!!!! There is plenty as it is....even if they dont do it there still gonna be plenty of dumbasses for us to laugh at cus they thought they could handle the big shit. Besides I think that would be the knockout punch that honda, suzuki, kawi, can am, and ktm arent ready to respond to.
  3. Alright heres the ? I just got my trinity cheetah 400 back from trinity on tuesday. I followed all the instructions they told me about. 40:1 mixture of 110 octane and maxima castor 927, let it warm up for about 5 minutes then ride it lightly for about 15 then let it cool down and check the tourqe on the head. I never really got on it either until I had run about 2 full tanks through it and on my third which is when they said it would be broken in I got on it a little bit, maybe 6000 rpm and rode it all the way up to 4th gear. all of a sudden it shut off and locked the back tires up. the sound it made was like something came apart but im not sure. the kick start wont even move down now and there is oil all over the filters, frame, swingarm, head, and head pipe, but there is not damage I can physically see to the outside. so my ? is wtf is going on. I also called trinity to tell them what happened and they said they would look at it. if they decide it was my fault how much will that be? ::
  4. haha thanx man...I think I had all that on my checklist, just makin sure cus I hear the police out there are dicks about every little thing. well I hope to see ya out there. Ill probly end up goin to the washes.
  5. fuck yea man!! that sounds bad ass. Ill be there. I have a few questions though. kinda off subject. the last time I was at glamis I was a little kid so I was wondering whats the best place to set up camp out there? oh and how anal are they about drinkin out there...I mean Im gonna drink regardless but I mean as far as like a cooler of beer out in the dunes with us. I know its probly a stupid question but Im just being prepared.
  6. Is anyone going the next weekend? the 2-4 I believe. cus I dont get the she back from trinity until the 29th
  7. SO just move to SO CAL man!!!! Its not hard to do! not to mention about 85% of the people ride something so most dont give a fuck. you can also ride just about any place you want here as long as you dont get caught and even if you do they will either give you the benefit of the doubt because they have one too or they will just give you a warning and tell you to leave.
  8. Hey Ill be gettin my banshee back from trinity on the 29th! please tell me some bhq'ers are gonna be there that weekend...I think its Nov. 2-4 weekend Im talkin about. let me know. Also I was curious if anyone lived around the Twentynine Palms/ Palm Springs area?
  9. Dude all you gotta do is think about what kinda ridin your doin and ask the guy sellin it what kinda powerband it has(in other words is it real quick(bottom end) or is it real fast top end( top speed) and if its mid then it shoot out like a rocket out of nowhere right in the middle of the gears...but yea if its good bottom end then its for woods or tighter stuff maybe racing. If its good bottom to mid then its for the same thing...mid to top is mostly for everything wide open...and all top is pretty much dunes...but thats just my take..
  10. Yea I get about 2 or 3 times a year cus my shit is like 500 miles away with my friend...plus Im goin in the Marines so Ill be even less available to ride
  11. no im not sayin you have to do that...I admit it is very expensive but it ensures that itll last alot longer...but the first time I ever changed my top end it had been a year since I first bought it but ever since I have done it the right way
  12. well personally I change the top end every 30 hours of riding but i hear you were supposed to change it every 20 but it works fine for me...and other maintenence I would say is change oil, clean carbs about ever 15 hours of riding, jets, spark plugs, grease the fittings on a-arms and swingarm, change reeds out every 40 hours, and repack silencers everytime you change top end. other than that you should be good but i cant remember if Im missing anything.
  13. no dude its all good...Ive rode in mud countless times and im talkin where you cant even see the color of the fourwheeler afterwards and its always made it fine. besides if it does get hot youll be able to tell cus it will probably boil over just a little bit or start steaming and will lose power but you would be able to tell by common sense long before that and then just turn it off for like 10 minutes or so...its never happened to me but it could Im sure but it would take alot...you can also put mr.clean and water mix on it when its clean and the mud will run right off.
  14. Ive riddin all of them except for the gsx r and personally as much as I hate kawi and Honda it would be one of those...the new kawi in particular then the honda are deffinately the fastest but if you want all around I would say the honda or yamaha and the gsxr is the slowest of the 600's at least thats what the mags say and I love suzuki personally but the mags say its slower than the others...but then suzuki always manages to pull a trick card out and Im guessin there gonna do that next year.
