  2. That's good to know. I think I got my radiator off of him. Same thing, said it was in great condition whereas I would have called it 'okay' condition. Still worked though so I didn't gripe...just had to spend a couple hours straightening fins.
  3. Those kits don't point out that you have to stay...uh...happy for the entire 5 minutes or so that it takes for the mold to harden. Normally that wouldn't be to 'hard' but try doing that when you've got your junk in what is basically a bottle of cold grape jelly.
  4. Don't feel bad man. During a discussion on euthanasia in my college sociology class I actually raised my hand and said, "I don't see what the big deal is about the youth in asia, they're just like the youth of america." Thank god I'm the class clown so everybody thought I was joking.
  5. I'll be there prez weekend. Camped out in the dunes near Gecko/78. About 200 yards out from where JT is talking about going. Actually its looking more and more like that will be my first trip after rebuilding my entire engine. If the shee doesn't come together though I'll always have the yfz as backup. Rules are the same as Dumont so all you guys that went to roostfest know all about it. There's camping permits right off of Gecko road...$25 for a week I think or $90 for the year.
  6. Ya dumont is sick. If its only an hour away you're never gonna take the paddles off your shee. Just take it easy your first time out. Dumont has lots of razorbacks that could put you in the hospital real fast.
  7. Wife and I are debating it. All depends on how much I get done on the shee and how much money I have left over by that time. If we do go we'll be there probably just the 27-30 or so and camped with Dunedemon's group. BTW man...how's Travis's Funco?
  8. It was an old swinger and some of the cracks had some rusting. But the main crack that scared me was fresh. Even the rust isn't the greatest indication of dating the crack. Around here fresh steal gets a healthy coat of rust in a day.
  9. Anytime jumping is involved I opt for the heavy duty parts. I'm about the same kind of rider as you and my fat ass has already cracked a frame and a swinger. BTW we should meet up in Dumont sometime after I get the shee running again. My wife's been bugging me to take her there again and not just to Glamis.
  10. We're not hating on you dunegirl...honda's and the like are made with girls and old people in mind. So really you were just a victim of well thought out marketing.

  12. Hey bio...how old are you?
  13. $2k...what happened to it? Cuz you could do it yourself for alot cheaper yourself even if you had to buy tools and it really isn't hard. Plus there's lots of guys in Cali willing to lend a hand.
  14. Count? Hey cole look at your sprocket in the morning...you see that number stamped into it? That's the number of teeth.
  15. you can make your own out of a security camera for about $60
  16. not that i can think of in sand...taller tires give you more clearance but otherwise i think you can run small ones. In dunes you usually have razorbacks n such to worry about.
  17. Dude I love this place!
  18. You can get an electric impact at harbor freight for like $40. It'll handle any job you have on a atv. Worth its weight in gold IMO.
  19. Man I'm screwed...I told the wife (yfzdunegirl) all about the premium membership. She wants to get it on her name cuz she wants to play the games. I told her that she could play the games all day on my name and I'd be fine with it. No way in hell am I making you the game champion she says...This is gonna suck if I have to pay $60. Hey Lee...how about $30 per household?
  20. This past T-day weekend at Glamis I ran into 2 different bikes with the paddles on backwards. Seems like every weekend I'm out I see this. I can understand having a brain fart and putting them on wrong when your in a hurry...heck I've done it. But riding around with your buddies like that all weekend?? This past weekend the first guy was on a thumper so I pointed, laughed and went on my way. He of course was looking at his rear wheels trying to find what I thought was so funny. The 2nd guy was on a shee so I told his buddies while he was running a hill. The thing I love best about these people is that they will literally argue with you about who's right and who's wrong. I've actually had to draw a description in the sand to try to convince one guy that a paddle should face the other way. Ah I love this kinda stuff!
  21. Ya the 17 is gonna be WAY too tall. You may be able to pull a 16 but more than likely you'll need a 15 if your riding any hills. I wouldn't get paddles though unless you're only riding in sand. If you have to ride dirt or something to get to the sand your paddles are gonna be trashed in a matter of months. I ride sand stars which are great for general duning. Alot of draggers like haulers.
  22. Ssshhh! I'm trying to play it cool so I can get on Oprah. Once there I'm gonna beat her with a hammer.
  23. It sounds like your gonna keep your bike fairly tame so instead of a new head you can get your stock head milled down to increase compression. I believe the limit before you run into squish problems is .030. Advancing the timing +4 and increasing the compression may be too much for pump gas.
  24. Ive got the cascade on my wife's yfz. Nice product all in all and yes it helps tremendously with thumb fatigue. When I'm cruisin alot of time i'll just hold the throttle with my palm. Installation is pretty easy, took about 20 min cuz that stupid spring shot across the garage. Definately worth the money, but still not as good as a twisty!
  25. Some guys over at yfzcentral were talking about that. I guess soft scrub was the unofficial winner if I remember correctly.
