  1. whoops i never actually looked at this one. maybe graydon changed the design? for whatever reason? i ran one of these with a 39mm pwk for about 2-3 years in MX it worked great. but it just had the hose for mounting the carb..
  2. where in wisconsin do you live i'll map it out.. i live in kansas
  3. hehe well to say it was a lil rich i think is an understatement!!!. you were shooting raw alky all over those poor fools that were behind you on the road!> heck i couldnt even see straight for about 20 minutes at the campsite when you left !! you will get it figured out. if you go to lean just raise the needle up a bit!. i have got my 485 set up on alky 41.3/44's it smokes like a Gas bike now. its super crisp dosent load up at all. dont even have to "clean it out" on the line. the mileage gets a lot better when you get the alky bikes set up right. come to think of it i did notice that the old bucket gas 36mm ones i used on my budget built 350 bike DID have a lot of bottom end for being a bigger carb with a big ass port.
  4. the ole blaster cage trick thats and OLD one for sure. i have a set of boyesen's v-3's, FMF's and the stockers with port work and boyesen 2 stage reeds. the boyesens if they are like the ones i have and used in the past fit in the stock boots they would take a lot of work to match a larger carb but i think they create a lot of velocity through them but also restrict flow on larger ported engines.. BUT there are also a lot of other issues with them that i think hurts them. if i could find a set of reeds that can extended down to the edges of the cage i think i could fix one of the issues.. i really like the stockers with modded cages and boyesen 2 stage reeds.. between those and the v-3's i cannot "feel" a difference in my lil 350 engines i did put a set of v-3's i sold in a relatively stock bike and it did make a HUGE difference in the way it ran. i was really impressed. in my cheetas i have been using the cr250 reed cages with a lil twist on the type of petals. i have more of a flow on the bottom petals than the top i thinks its helping direct more of the shot down the boost ports and intot he bottom of the jugg.. FIREHOUSE i'd love to hear of your testing of differnt reeds in the 4 mill 65/68mm motors that you didnt really get into. . i dont have any official test equipment just good ole put it in, tune it, race it testing.. i'm thinking of dooing some "testing" with the cages i have now i also have a set of stockers i am going to set up with the carbon single boyesen petals available and see how they feel i have a lil gunie pig banshee that a pretty basic bike t-5's mild porting pwm carbs, head, stuff like that i'm going to swap out all the reeds and see which one seems to run the best then i am going to try and "fix" the boyesen's and see how that goes.. i will say this. chariot is good about "fixing" problems that they encounter. like the bigger nuts deals on their one piece heads with removeable domes. and also the fact they they were willing to desing a high hp banshee head due to some other issue's they had. i respect them for that. it shows a lot to be willing to improve a product and help "fix" problems.. they make some neat stuff for the cheeta's. didnt know they made anything for the tri-z's.. thats a nice tri-z by the way. I got a chance to reseal the engine in one of those just the other day that motor i feel has a LOT of potential. i think its a better design than the honda's 250r if the z had as much aftermarket development behind it as the ole 250r does i think it might be a lot better off. the crank is nicely balanced and light with out a balancer in the engine, to rob HP the clutch basket is big and nicely built and there are weight savings in the motor that yamaha is famos for all over the place. wish they would have put some of that "tech" into the banshee when they could have.
  5. why does everyone always want the tires with out wheels??
  6. do you know if this is the newer version with the barker silencer? whats shipping cost to 67561? nickerson kansas?
  7. merry christmas asshole!!! man finally something that i agree with loco on!!! there are WAY to many men being held down by women i'm not saying that either one should be higher than the other. but those guys who drive corollas and their wife's have escalades and take everything from them and make them work their asses off and have no time for them selves should feel ashamed. you only live ONCE you better LIVE it!! i see my girlfriend as an equal i treat her well and she does the same for me did it take a while to prove this to each other? well YEA> i dont ask about banshee parts but i do discus it with her she discuses her spendy's also ( furniture, computer, stuff like that) we have seperate accounts but dont say the he say she say on income's. the current society structure with shared accounts only leads to problems. and LOTS of divorce and issue's.. if you can find a woman that respects you and you can show her the same respect your realiton ship will grow to a point that is hard to establish these days otherwises your just fuckin that person that you live with.. and most you married men are probably not even doing that.. the couples that seem guinely happy with each other seem to have mutual respect for each other i feel it goes hand in hand.. you need to get that stinking banshee together so we can race and i can shoot sand all over it HAHAHAHAHa
  8. wow really who told you those were pwk's? the pj,s pwk's, and pwm,s are all kehien D slide type carb. those are pretty obviously a round slide styling carb. they are probably off of a cr80cc dirt bike the dirt bike has bigger carb but looks more like stock if your shooting for a very stock looking bike using the similar roundslide carb is a decent way to go BUT the older round slide effeciency is much less with the larger carbs for example a 35mm flat slide carb will out perform even a 38mm - 40mm round slide carb because of the design..
  9. i think ricky stator sells just the pick up.
  10. yep peaked rpm at 11,000 on the dyno with t-5's.. pulled up to about 9800 and overrev'd the rest.
  11. they are a very old pipe the flange gives them away its the old old old simple flange. the newer fmf flange is one of the best i have ever seen. if you could get a set of the newer o-ringed nice transistion flanges fromfmf you might see a improvement in the pipe.. i'd love to have an fmf ID chart for pipes. there were a lot of different pipe styles and makes. PT's SUCK and now you know why..
  12. wow. i always read these threads and think why the hell is someone buying a banhsee to put put put in the trails with. i mean come on a 400ex is a LOT more fun in the trails and tight woods its lighter its simpler and you just dump gas right in the tank and put put put it all day long on 1 gallon of gas. a 400 kawa~zuki is the same way 700 rappy is even betta~ in all honesty the BEST trail pipe for a banshee is : STOCK!!! they are QUIET they FIT they dont burn your legs. NO other pipe fits those needs. there are ONLY a handfull of pipes that make the low end that the stockers do. and they are very very limited and the pro circuits are one of them. the PSI's and the t-6's in my opinion are an excellent trail pipe and YES i have had all of them. if the t-6's had a decent top end they would be my current favorite pipe but they SUCK on top. but damn they pull HARD on the bottom and thats with 14-38 gearin and toped out at 92mph DONT drop your gearing down the dynoport sounds absolutely amazing, and the dmc 916's are the only other pipe that sounds similar. the dyno port pipe has been said over and over again is almost the same powercurve as stock with just s smidgin on top. so other than the indy car sound ( sweet) they SUCK. NOW there IS a newer version of the dyno port 2-1 pipe out its a BIG chamber and BIG bore silencer BUT i havent heard anything about it and at 500 bucks its gonna be a hard sell. even dynoports twin big pipes are the same cost but are 2 pipes and 2 silencers?? how do they figure that one out? the 2-1 should only cost about 300 bucks i feel. its basically a single pipe/ silencer with a y pipe on the end... also time and time again people get on these forums and ask advice listen to the advice then tell the advicegiver to go fuck themselves. well i say fuck you buy the DG's and then wonder why everyone with pro circuits are whopping your ass in a straight race. and why your bike pops on top cause its sapposed to have the same jetting..
  13. when you go ride call everyone an asshole and slam into every fart can 4 stroke you can find. then people will say that guy and his bike were really mean.
  14. yea this is the only forum i need seperate posting for pictures.. if anyone is really serious about the arm i can send pics right away even pm me kinda weeds out the tire kickers i think
  15. isnt there a web program that translates? i'm not sure.. check out DOMA and DEP pipes also. those are some "other" pipe brands. dont really know anything abou them and i bet after you found a set and had them shipped here you'd have a small fortune in themm..
  16. hmmmm.. to just bolt on a cub is really impossible unless you have absolutely stock EVERYTHING else you will have issue's cubs take custom domes, and if your going to hit 80 HP + you better have the following.. billet basket with hardend rear plate OR springloaded straight cut basket, fully balanced /welded crank, tz drive bearing on at least the clutch side. case matched to the cub, proper reeds, good carbs, ( stock WILL work i dont care what these guys say) transmission mods if you dont want an override. and a REALLY really good clutch. replacement of some most likely worn out parts in your motor, clutch boss, pressure plate, shift shaft, alignment pin, return spring, etc etc etc...
  17. all pics sent out if anyone wants to resize them for me and post them i wouldnt complain!
  18. i dont mean to lowball ya but would you cut me a better deal on the synch tool? i just did a quick search and found this.. http://www2.cip1.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=ACC%2DC10%2D7125
  19. if you cant get a so called "built 350 or a 4 mill to come up when you want it to it either dosent make do do for power or the suspension it to low. i could wheelie my girfriends mild built 350 with 11 paddle extreme's all the way down the strip when it had stock suspension and was on gas. the 4 or 6 over will work great either way if you run tight trails the 4 will be better if you out in tha open dune and drag race the 6 i think will be better. i would definatelly look for a bigger carb like the 35m pwk's switching from the 34 pj's to the 35's made a big difference inthe low end on my 350's.. spurdy's seen jenns lil turd run but that was after alky a suspension drop and cpi's
  20. you can tune your alky bike to not be so stinking rich with the right carbs. you should be able to tune it to run almost similar to gas i get a lil worse mileage from gas but the most fun i had on a dune bike was a 350 with a +8 on alky that sucker would tree shoot like noother and wheelie all crazy out of the tree lines FUN FUN and i loved dumping the clutch halfway up a big dune..
  21. why?? also get on ebay and look at different cylinders some sellers take pictures of the cylinders you are going to buy and will have the possible "porter" that did them it seems to me that every porter or engine builder has a different opinion on what a tral, dune, agressive trail, hillclimb, stage 2000 drag port should look like.. i believe it also matters on the entine engine set up..
  22. good ole banshee. cool head fuly rebuilt motor new crank new pistons 20 over on bore, billet basket, t-5's v force 3's 30mm pwm's k+n filter in cut stock box. alluminum bars, stock length round carrier lonestar swingarm, yfz front shocks fat modded foot pegs, full fenders blue and black in color. painted plastics. runs great drives great full set of paddles included 3100. located in nickerson kansas about anhour from wichita
  23. I have a very nice stock carrier type +4 extended swing arm it has a OMF alluminum skid plate on it and its not one of those cheapo ones from ebay i think its a metal tech all bolts and brake line clamps included. all laser cut mounting hardware grey in color i do have a stock carrier with all the bolts and mounts available also. you should be able to use your stock brake line i have a small secton of chain i can throw in or use a +8 link chain for it 112 link i believe? 250 + shipp can email pics. located in kansas outside wichita
  24. thats called DETONATION> what carbs does it have what kind of alky did you use what kind of oil did you mix wiht it. whats the timing at. what kinda domes do you have. any shops local to you that know anything about the bike that can help you out also..
  25. oem seals are great MOOSE complete seal kit is great i use cometic or stock steel based gaskets NEVER use a paper base gasket escpecially the crappy paper one piece ones that sometimes come with the cubs. guaranteed to blow out never use sealer on a paper gasket either it makes them slicko and they rip.. oem clutch gaskets are great.. try yamaha south seattle motorsports for oem parts also ask your local oem dealer if they will PRICE match other oem dealers. most times if you come in with the exact part numbers you want they will price match. tell them your moneys going into someones pocket might as well be theirs..
