  4. use all the stock parts. screw the black paint. ( or not it dosent matter) keep moving ( it has no fan) jet it RIGHT keep it CLEAN put it on alky ( best thing i have found) oh and did i say KEEP IT CLEAN
  5. i wonder what a custom wrap would cost??
  6. just go HID get a battery, float your ground, and install a regulator. the 2 mini hd's are brighter than ANY other light, stator set up i have EVER tried.

  13. bone stock banshee will wheelie all day long.
  14. expecting the same quality for half the price? OR why are we settling for lesser quality at the SAME higher price?? all i can say is you probably got some crap ass chinese knock off bullshit boots and thats why they ripped i have had the mikuni genuine boots last for years and years with solvent all over them, fuel spilled all over them and clamps wayy to tight, cooked in hot water to soften them up enough that they will fit bigger carbs etc etc. the real deal holds up excellent be carefull with what you buy those knock off filters are ok BUT the clamps that come with them are total shit. tell thes companies to take that imported chinese crap and stuff it up their ass. bring manufacturing BACK to the USA
  15. i have a difitron dt-50? rpm. water, 2 egt you can search google and find the info on them i looked at a koso and those look pretty cool also. but seems they have a battery box and a readout thats seperate. they can also show a problem if its about to happen and sometimes save parts. if your looking for every last lil bit out of your motor they are a decent investment. nice with alky also. tops on alky is about 1050 1100 for ONE cold run ( track tune).. i like about 950 for the dunes then if i need i can squeze about a bike length out of it if i need to going to 1050 on the dyno it was good for about 3 hp on top... i havent used my digitron for about 2 years even though its on the bike. the digi's also have a record feature where it maps the runs and you can look at rpm vs shift points and all that stuff that was kinda cool to look at.
  16. no problem i think i blew through about 600lbs of nitrogen for all the shocks i recharged!!! hope you rnot too mad about the stereo butts spurd.... i didnt get to see the pics but now you see why i dont drink !@!! magg your bike still needs some tuning and setting up still but at least you got to ride it around. and just wanted to say thanks to tim for feeding my fat ass and i had a great time. maybe i should have kept drinking on saturday to conteract that bad ass headache and hangover i got.. when we going back?
  17. welp leaving tomorrow guess i better go work on the bikes huh
  18. ditch the snorkel AT LEAST! i f you dont like the buhhh noise thats the noise of air getting into the bike!! just drop mains till it runs. 250's is about where i bet you end up at.
  19. and also like many young grasshoppers i was once very scared of alky and its 'effects" BUT now after playing with it and learning its quirks all i can say is the "secret" is setup set up set up!!! using the CORRECT carbs ( lectrons) makes life SOOOO much easier with the stuff i dont even have a bike right now thats on gas at all. i guess its a way for me to say screw iraq and those cocks and try and be more "green" ( yea right i just like the way it runs HA) i have a air cooled golf cart and i am now contemplating putting a 40mm or 36mm alky lectron on it also. i will be driving it a lot during the summer and think the added cooling benifits will be substational.. hope to work on that one in the next month or so. its a 250cc 2 stroke harley cart ( par car)
  20. that article always makes me laugh. i have the sister bike to that build. mine is a 421cc stocker, it has HIGH compression BUT i have it on straight alky now with 32mm lectrons. when i bought it i switched the 110 carbs out for alky, and reported it replaced the entire clutch and transmission etc., the efi is a really neato thingy and the guy was tired of buying race fuel and thats why the switch to e85,. the injection was done by kevin gigot in garden city KS same dude that does the ORIGINAL slingshot lockup. with proper domes and correct build up 200-220 is not a bad comp for a rider motor on alky. e85/100 will take a lot of timing and comp JUST LIKE alky and RUN some saab's with turbo actually have an alternative map and develop 40-50 more hp if they are given e85. any fuel i use i try and use whatsin the can or in the tank right away i am a firm believer in fresh fuel. a purge is all you need if you are worried about alky eating rubber parts although i havent EVER had a problem with it and crank seals or other variuos things in the motor. i think a lot of that has to do with the amount of oil in the fuel.
  21. dang i hope i get this golf cart done

  22. fmf ram valve.
  23. i have a dummy motor i put together with shit parts i had lying around its easier to move it here and there and test fit in the chassis i liked droping the motor down because of the swingarm, front sproket piviot point. also the clearance on top of the engine seemed better. i will try a few things on the "test" chassis i have and see what works well. i also felt droping the motor down might add more clearance in the pipes also. the dummy motor is a set of broken cases a bad trans shaft with a sproket welded on and internally tightened for fitment, dummy shift shaft with shifter and a set of cyls and head with plugs... its not really heavy and i can see where everything rub a dub dubs at
