The reason they are on sale is because the lines on the sides of the rear fender don't line up with the seat cover. They will be on sale until they run out of those graphic kits.

If you keep the stock airbox lid on you will not need to rejet. You will not be flowing anymore air than what the snorkle will allow through. If you remove the lid then Yes you will need to rejet.

Check for air leaks

What are your jetting specs right now? When I added the hush kit it idled fine but did have a lowend stumble when reving it up. I didn't need to rejet but I did add a timing key and bumped up the compression a bit. Once I did that stuff the stumble went away. I believe you can rejet the stumble out but I didn't bother.

What year is this Banshee?

Have custom cut stroker domes made for the head.

Make sure you don't get an older version of the hush kit. There are two different types of the old version. One only had a collar on one side of the inlet tubes so only one of the two tubes can come loose. The second one as mentioned did not have a spark arrestor built into it. When you go to mount the hush kit and adapters to the silencers you have to open up the silencers and the tube that has the holes in it needs to be cut down a little (around an inch). The outer portion is left alone other than maybe drilling the holes for the rivits out a little larger for the two screws that hold the hush kit in the silencers. It's pretty straight forward install requiring some high temp RTV and a rubber mallet and a few allen wrenches. If you want to get more info on this email me or AIM me under the user name "sanddiegoduner". Pimp559 if you click the link I posted it should take you to my image station pictures. If anyone is wondering you do get a midrange hesitation in power if your bike is stock. If you advance the timing a few degrees (3-4) and bump up the compression the hesitation goes away. Most importantly is you still get to ride your machine when others are getting tickets and parking their bikes.

A common problem is an air leak. Most of the time its from cross threading the TORS carb caps down. Does it rev up when it starts up or idle pretty high?
-
What is the diameter of the silencer core? Not the stinger tube but the core itself? You might be able to adapt a Hush kit onto the CPI pipes.
-
Well heres the deal about the adapters... You do have to modify the silencer core tubes by cutting them shorter by about an inch. Other than that the hush kit mounts to the adapters and they slip inside your silencers. The only reason I did mine like this was the cost. I bought some 3/4" thick aluminum stock and made the end caps out of that. The hush kits are 190 compared to 270 for turbine cores. If your interested I can make a whole setup for you and ship it out... let me know if you want one and I'll get some prices for you.

I believe FMF sends 260 mains with their pipes. With it being so cold in the dunes the last few months you should be jetted richer than 280s with an open airbox. You should be right around 300 mains and 30-32.5 pilots. When you say the plugs look fine was that on a full throttle run? You will get good looking plugs from just general riding through the dunes but you could be lean at full throttle. If you need more help let me know...

I am the only one that I know that has adapted a set of FMF powercore 2 silencers for use with a Toomey Hush Kit. I have made one other set of adapters for InFlames for his powercore silencers. Hopefully this image will work. Here is a link just incase it doesn't work... http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4288...703&mode=invite

Cylinder Stud Snapped Off Flush With Case Now What
SDD replied to SyNtAxx's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Number one thing to do is spray some WD on it and let it sit at least over night. Then take a dremel and cut a slot into the stud (try not to cut into the case). Now take a impact driver and give it one good hit. It should loosen up and you can just unscrew it with a regular screw driver. -
Only run it if your mods indeed need that much octane other wise your just burning your money away.
-
What main jets do you have and at what altitude are you riding?
-
Your 21cc domes on regular pump gas made the piston vents.
-
She definately did get more seat time than I did this last trip. I'm thinking about going out this weekend... any takers? I'm over that sick bullshiznit. I'm ready for some riding.
-
What is done to the airbox?
-
Justin remember Ben does has a slightly different setup than yours. He has dual stage reeds, a boost bottle, and rev pipes. Take some good pics of your plugs again after those couple of rides with the 350 mains should give you more of an idea of what the current jetting is like.
-
PM Justintoxicated he has one for sale with the plate
-
How much coolant is it losing? Is the overflow bottle empty after one ride or does it take a few days worth of riding before it empties out? When you put the radiator cap on did you clean the sealing surfaces before you replaced the cap?
-
You must have took them out while you were busy swapping coils.... Where else could they have gone to? Your the guru you tell us since none of us are smart enough to help you with your problems
-
vmax you need to grow up or chill out. I'm not saying that you aren't trying to help but your problem was a 1 in 50000 unit problem. Plugged up pilot jets are very common on Banshees when running small pilot jets. Yeah it's nice to borrow a coil and spend the time to change them out. Its another thing to spend 15 minutes cleaning a carb and testing it out again. Now before you get your panties in a bunch ask around and maybe you'll get more info about me from some of the members of this board. When your daddy wants to pay for your porting... I'll be waiting for his money... SOME PEOPLE

You have to just rechamber the dome to have a greater volume. You do have to dial in the squish band as well.
-
Are your domes for Big Bore bikes? You probably want to have them cut to 20cc or larger since your compression is very high. You should be running 110+ race gas... no mixing with pump. Your over heating because of your detonating problem. First off try very high octane race gas. If that doesn't solve your problem get new domes that will lower your compression to 170-180 range for 100 octane gas. If you want to run pump gas you should be down in the 150-160 range.
