  1. I just got my Works for my shee sent to the house. I am going to put them on as soon as I find the torque setting for the shock mounts. Anybody who has purchased shocks what torque setting did you use for the mounts???????
  2. Alright, I bought my new shee a few weeks ago. Since then I have put a boost bottle and a Pro Design intake w/ K&N and pre-filter. I did not re-jet because I did a plug chop with those mods on and the plugs were black/wet. I thought maybe Banshees are jetted rich from the factory. The problem i'm having is a bog at about 1/4 throttle then it is fine from 1/2 all the way up. It seems like it is needing more gas but not sure because it seems like it's running ok or even a little rich looking at the plug color. I heard it is just from the stock pipes but don't know for sure. Any help?
  3. I bought a UM boost bottle a few weeks ago to put on my new shee. I could definitely tell it gave it more throttle response. Compared it to the stock crossover tube and could tell the difference in the throttle response so I kept it on.
  4. I have an 03' 400ex bored to a 416 with alot of internal work(cams, valves, etc...). Plus it is alot wider than my shee. This past Saturday my dad and I went up to the track to ride. I wanted to see how fast I was on 4 stroke compared to a 2 stroke. I thought I was going to be a hell of alot faster on my 416 just because it is completly race ready. Well I was wrong, just with a stock shee I could go faster just about everywhere on the track. I could get into and out of the turns alot faster. The only thing holding back the stock shee is the front suspension. I landed so hard with that stock suspension that I broke the skid plate mounting bolts in half. Don't buy Armadillo skids!!! So you should be fine racing mx stock. The first thing I am going to get is probably some Works dual-rate with rezzies.
  5. I just got finished putting in my Pro Flow intake with K&N. I am going to run no air box lid. What should my main jets go up to with a mainly stock bike w/boost bottle, Pro Flow, & no lid. If I remember I think 200 is what the stock mains are right? They gave me 240 main's which I was thinking of going up to. Or do I need bigger than that??
  6. I have an LRD system on my 416ex. It made a huge difference in power. Gave a little more power everywhere bottom/mid/and top. Very good quality also. Once I save up to put pipes on my new shee I will definitely look at the LRD system.
  7. I have a new left-over stock 03' Banshee. I am getting ready to get rid of the p.o.s stock air box design. I have decided on getting the Pro Design intake w/K&N. I am going to keep the air box lid on. Will I have to change the jetting with the K&N?
  8. LOL, well I just ordered a UM Performance boost bottle for my new shee. I am at least going to try it since some people says it makes a slight difference. I got it for $25 so, o well. I will post back if I notice anything on the bottom end or throttle response.
  9. 90lbs does sound really low. I think banshee76179 is right about the 120 to 130lb range stock. Also, I just got my Banshee last friday and went riding this past weekend. I guess the bog would be normal because that is exactly what mine does but then it clears out. It almost feels like your riding an 80 until the powerband kicks in.
  10. Ok, I just bought a left over 03' Banshee. First thing I am going to do is get rid of the stock filter. Which air filter is the best for the Banshee? I've seen people who have really liked the Toomey 2 into 1 with outerwear; K&N; and Pro Design. I was thinking about getting the Toomey 2 into 1 or the new Power Flow Intake System by Twin Air. What would you recommend??
  11. I've seen that also. It was in the latest Dirt Wheels or ATV Action mags. It is Raptor plastic for a Banshee. I don't know if it's out yet though?
  12. I don't think they will be replacing the Banshee with anything. As long as it keeps bringing money to Yamaha they are going to keep producing it.
