  1. I thought I saw somewhere that jeff sold lightend stock flywheels. Is this true how much does it require a core charge.
  2. no more then launching in 1st. Only difference is if you dump the clutch in 3rd your probably bog or stall unless you have low gearing or enough power. If you bog and dont spin the tires all that power has to go somewhere usually your crank.
  3. yea I was their a few years ago. Your right about the drinking. I got their and had a couple beers changed my jetting took it for a spin down the interstate like other people were doing. Cop passed me turned around and pulled me over. Asked me if I was drinking I said a couple he gave me a breathalizer. Fortunantly I passed for WV. Would have failed in Ohio. He gave me a ticket for 68 in a 25. Apparently no matter what road your on with a ATV is a 25 mph speed limit. I thought I was screwed.I called about the ticket when I got home lady told me to just send a 35 dollar check and they will take care of it. Cop said he pulled me over because Mc Donalds called and complained about someone doing donuts in thier parking lot and they thought it was me.
  4. I checked it cold and it checks just below where it should but when you call RS they tell me that is where it should be for a 200w one. I really havent checked it hot. I never thought it would be different. As for a stock one I just bought a use one and ill probably have it in a week.

  7. Ive checked the gap a few times with a feeler guage and its good. I can check the fuel tank I doubt its that. As for the pilot being cloged I will check that as soon as I get a chance. I feel like I have a spark that gets weak or is weak. Or maybe it gets weak from something as it gets hot. I dont know what to say. I just dont think my jetting is so rich that it is just fouling up. pilot is 45 and main 155 cel middle is jetting 1000ft 80 degrees . Should mention I run a K&N with the air box and no lid. I just find it hard to believe my jettin is so off that it wollnt run right
  8. Well I woke up today and put fresh plugs in it and took it up the road and it's still doing it. I have had oil on the silencer ends since I built this motor but Ive had this problem on and off since I built it too. Ive tryed every jetting change I could think off. If I go leaner on the main it gets zingy so Im content with where it is there. I was lower on the pilot and it seamed to run good but I had to keep the air screw at 1/2 out. If I went further out the RPMS increased but when I stab the throttle it bogs. So I went one size bigger on the pilot and it does the same thing bogs if I go any further then 1/2 out. I said screw it and just took extra plugs and went riding. I dont know, it would rev clean and hit the power band clean at my house then when I go riding after a bit it wollnt do shit. It sounds to me like a bigger pilot right but my plugs are wet and black. just dont make sence to me. Oh and my filter is clean a day after riding.

  10. I clean the filter change the jetting, run it a couple times up the street and it runs great. Revs clear throught the powerband and everything. I go to the trail and it will run good for like half an hour and it starts sputtering like its getting watter in it. (its not dry as hell out). It breaks up and makes like a (buuurrrrrr) sound and occasionally making a normal sound back and forth if you can imagine that. If I burry the throttle in gear under load if makes the burr and never clears up. It will get so bad at times that the only way I can ride it is to bearly be on the gas and let it slowly clime the RPM'S. It seams to rev more freely in nuetral but it still sputters a bit but not as bad as when I'm going. I get so mad at it I just want to keep the throttle pinned and blow the f*cking thing up but it just goes buuuurrrrr sputter burrr. I dont get it. I thought the jetting was off and I was fouling plugs, but if I change plugs real quick at the trail it doesnt change. It runs so bad that Ill end up with oil all over my pipe ends. I cant figure this out I come home and in a day or so Ill clean everything filter and all and it will rev clean and run real strong again for the 1 minute I can run it on my street. Ill put it away thinking its fix then go riding again and same shit. I had this problem for a while and I dont know what to do. Ive changed CDI, Coil even though the first one tested good. Im running a 200w stator from RS. Which they said tested good but sent me a new one that tests the same and does the same shit. Ive even changed the wireing harness. I still think it may be the RS 200w unit. What do you guys think.

  13. Yea I was running it up and down the street. I went bigger one and turned out too about 2 and it seems to be running better. Thanks
  14. Ok Ive been haveing a little trouble getting this running perfect. To start off I just synced the carbs and there good to go. Problem is when the bike is idling and I stab the throttle it has a bog. If I turn the air screws in to about 1/2 turn out from seated then stab the throttle the bog goes away. Howvever at about 1 1/2 turns out it has its fastest idle. Where should I go with my pilot up or down one? I should also mention that if it idles awhile i get some oil build up on the end of the silencers.

  16. If its too tight. It can stretch or it can let go. Id becarefull about it being too tight. A little tight is probably ok but too much could be bad. If you want I think you can grind our the holes that the carrier bolts move in to all it to be adjusted to a looser setting.
  17. Is anyone going or interested in going. I have gone with my friends twice. It is some of the best trails you can possibly experiance. Great times, this place has been written about in evey atv magizine and newspaper there is and well worth the trip if your from out of town like me.   19. Ok let me clarify this. I have the clam from noss. What filter goes with this. Im not rigging the stock basket or anything like that. I have the clamp already. I was just wondering what the model number is that come with his kit. I was also trying to find a bigger filter that will fit in the airbox and fit on this clamp.
  20. My experiance no others yes. A good ported engine with at stock crank will out run a +4 stroke with a unproted engine. If you think about it, it makes sense too. I would think about what you want to do if you dont plan on spending much I would get the cheapest crank you can find save a few bucks get a moderate port and be done with it. You will have a better running shee for cheaper besides you alread have a pretty good setup for that. A well set up stroker is not cheap. If you just want to spend 400 and throw a crank in there go ahead but your gains will be less then a port for about the same price. JMO
  21. What model filter does the kit with the Clamp on come with? Also what would be the model for a filter about an inch longer? Does it exsist?
  22. plan for for new bearings for new crank. Have it welded. You will need new gaskets and seals. If you get it ported you will probably want bigger carbs and a new intake to go with the bigger carbs. Then you will want differnt pipes and air filter setup. If your going to spend the money on the 4 mill I would go all out. I really dont see point of putting a 4 mill in a non ported engine its really not that great of a gain (unless you just want to be able to tell people you have a stroked engine) . Youll be faster with a stock crank and porting. I guess you need to decied if you want to spend 2-3 thousand or 7-8 hundred.
  23. I have VF2's and no. little difference. If anyone tells you they threw them on and it was a totaly different bike. They had broken reeds or their bull shitting you.
  24. K&N no snorkel Cut back inch off lid and Fattys. VF2's. In ohio, 1200 ft. 300 / 310 for summer needle 4th pos, stock pilot 21/2 turns out. Ran great. 320 for winter
  25. Ricky stator makes a great tie rod and end set. Its honda style and heavy duty. I work out 2 yamaha style sets in about three years. Ive had these new ones for about 2 now and they still have no slop. Great buy but pricy at 200.
