  1. Could be low compression. weak spark or bad/old spark plugs. mixed the oil to rich or bad quality oil. i would start with the compression. is the choke tube connected between the carbs?
  2. The metal bearing sleeve must be removed, my slider fits exactly over the swingarm (tight fit) the little arm(on the back of the slider) rests on the upside of the swingarm. The upp website has instructions.
  3. Here is a pic of my coussin hanging a nice wheely on my banshee. wheely
  4. I'm using castrol TTS i dont think you guys have that over there in U.S. its a bit pricy but this oil just plain ROX mixes great with the fuel, never have problems with starting i'm mixing 32:1 but i'm sure i can mix 40:1 without any problems.
  5. I think a custom build computer is not what 2003bansheeman350 needs. Sure you can get somewhat more bang for the buck, i used to build everything myself aswell, ordering the best parts for the cheapest price all over the country. Then when something breaks (software or hardware) you dont have any support whatsoever. You have to troubleshoot everything yourself and if it turns out to be hardware error. Then you either need to send it to the manufacturer or goto hell to receive a new part from the distributor. 2003bansheeman350 wants a good putter that works, for emailing and other basic stuff. I it doesnt work call supportl have them fix it. I would go with a prefab putter.
  6. Anyone happen to know to figure out piston to cylinder clearance needs? Does a set of pistons come with instructions for bore sizes/clearance?
  7. I just wonder how these same tests would go with a different set of pipes. Many thanks for the info! a 2:1 setup becomes more attractive every minute.
  8. close to 50 HP
  9. maybe put the seal around the swingarm first then place the dust cover over it? crap.. i have to do it this week aswell anybody else know a good sollution?
  10. Dell, great putters, good support (drivers, warrenty so on) cant go wrong.
  11. bansheebabe350 is also offering bearings.
  12. So with an aftermarket cdi unit, You would have the best of both worlds? advanced timing for fast trothle response in the low revs and retarded timing for more top end. sounds good!
  13. Hehehe hail to that aswell :flame: BURN Mofo's!
  14. hmmk. i think i just found out why my chain guide has eaten trough like half my swingarm. .. I'm not completly sure but i think i'm missing a part. part 42 on the yamaha sheet. its listed as beeing a "pipe"
  15. Thanks both of you I will be needing some parts. Just came back from a hard night of work on the shee. -took the swingarm out- checked for bearings but i couldnt even find bearings the needles where all over the place bearings bad, seals bad, dirt blockoff thingies bad. the sleeve is unconclusive.. i think i need a new one. on top of that. my chain guide has been doing its job good. (protection my swingarm from the chain).. allitle to good.. the guide itself has been eating its way into my swingarm. its not a hole yet but i want to prevent any further damage/wear. good think i have a aftermarket chainslider on the way. who else is having problems with this? and how to prevent it with a stock chain guide. I'll take some pictures tomorrow. man are those bearings shot
  16. now thats absolutly 100% well said. Hail to the king baby. cant agree more.
  17. float hight should be between 20-22 MM (out of my head) hehe check the manual for the inches also if the sparkplugs are getting old, a new set might fix it.
  18. First of all: Its weeeeekend + been doing some basic maintainance work yesterday on the banshee. and noticed my right uper A-arm had some freeplay, on further inspection i have more parts with some freeplay in/on them. especially the swingarm mounts have ALOT of free play. So i took most of it appart yesterday and am now down to the last swingarm bolt. I've been checking out prices and parts today for the front a-arm and rear swingarm. and i can say: Those small parts cost alot! The best/cheapest i could find was a complete all round bushing set from alba. the swingarm might need more then just bushings, i think it has a bearing in there. What kits/parts can you recommend me?
  19. Thanks banshee boy! and stock wheels are 10-9 (for rear) so the 10*8 douglas wheels will be 1 inch larger but 2 inch less wide. but with an offset of 5" so the wheelbase will be larger. great thanks! so stock dunlop tires (10-9) wont fit the 10*8 douglas wheels then hmm.. i better go with 9*9 then thanks again! oh is the offset for both wheels? or does each wheel have a 5" offset making it a total of 10" wider.. 10" is ALOT!
  20. What kind of measure tool fits into the cylinder and is that accurate?
  21. On the wheel sizes. Douglas wheels have sizes like this: 10X8_3+5_.160 Douglas wheel 10X9_3+6_.160 Douglas wheel 9X9_3+6_.160 Douglas wheel 10X9_3NOSE+6_.190 Douglas wheel all i understand out of this is the .160 and .190 are the wheel alluminium thinkness. what does the rest mean? and what kind of tire sizes fit on them. many thanks guys
  22. Maybe your carbs are starving for fuel? so that would be float hight Or you need to rejet your mains.
  23. I said it before and i'm gonna say it again: "A banshee is a way of life, 2 stroke, mixing oil, fast revving' the new yfz is one great machine. On the other hand i cant believe the raptor with 220cc more displacement is so slow Great bike would love to own one. I think yamaha is doing a great job trying to please all the current banshee owners. the 2 stroke will eventually be banned and the 450 is a worthy replacement. but for now: WHOEHOEE banshee
  24. Yes and as a addition to this: when i look into my cylinders the port windows all seem to have a 90 degree angle at the sleeves. when i look further into the ports you can see the different angels in the jugs. is it ok to match the sleeves with the port window angles? and what is a "bevel" ? thanks. sanddunejunkie, check this site out. it has great info and pictures. lol when youre done with that site and understand everything then think again if you really want to do this. mac dizzy
  25. So i take it that the cylinder can only be measured in one position which is at the base?
