  1. You're gonna need at least a +8 or +10 arm, might want to think about a wheelie bar too
  2. Swingarm length is determined by how much power you have...what kind of engine are you running? Also, what kind of terrain? Dirt, sand, asphalt?
  3. ^^^That's really the honest truth. I've made out like a bandit since my banshee only cost me 500 bucks to get...so my overall tally on the builds isn't too incredibly high. After this current project, I'm guessing I probably spent around 6-7,000 just on going from trail banshee to drag bike, and it's no where near what it could be.
  4. Outstanding! I am definitely gonna be there the whole weekend this time, we're coming prepared with propane just in case some freak of nature blizzard decides to blow through again LMAO, are you serious?
  5. I had planned to try and get the same spots I did last time, I liked where they were...not real close to the entrance but kind of in the middle of things. If I can remember I'll reserve those spots tomorrow; will let you know the details. Me, drunk...naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
  6. Naaa, it shouldn't be too busy, will be like last year's trip. I think it's 2 weeks before Easter and 3 weeks before Snakehunt, so we should be good. Look forward to meeting ya trueraiderfan!
  7. SAND! March 28th through April 1st, you in?
  8. Yeah, there's a little more to it....gotta make sure both your slides are opening at the same time...your eye will get it really close, but this carb sync tool will make sure it's perfect.
  9. Well, if it's like this one... Then you'll get your carbs as close as you can to synced, keep the air filters off the carbs and fire it up and let it idle. Press the sync tool up to the carb inlet and see what you got. The carb tool measures the velocity of air moving through it. Take it off the first carb and press it to the second carb. If the velocity looks the same, then hit and hold the throttle at 1/4 throttle...see where it's at and then put it back on the other carb....if the number is the same then hold it to roughly half throttle...check both carb's velocity and adjust the slides/air screws accordingly. That's how I did mine and it worked great...I didn't realize my carbs were out of sync until I used it, great tool to have Hope that made some sense, lol, I'm not the best when it comes to explaining things...once you stick the carb tool up to the carb and see the little gauge move with the throttle/air you'll figure out exactly how to use it...didn't take long to figure out
  10. I "think", don't quote me on this, but you send your stocker in as a core and they send you an override that has already been cut, I don't think you actually get yours back...Best way to find out is call one of the people selling them. I picked up mine used so I didn't have to mess with sending a core transmission.
  11. Silver banshee will be running a 421 cub drag ported by F.A.S.T., straight cut gears, 1-5 WCR duneable override, noss head, VF2's, 39mm keihins, GRR out of frames, lockout clutch, etc, etc. Chassis will be a lightened stock frame, plus 3 forward a-arms, plus 8 swingarm with wheelie bar, rear will be strutted and the front will have marvin shaws Blue banshee will have RDZ level 1 ported cylinders, trinity head, boyeson reeds, 2 into 1 carb with 38mm carb, T5 pipes, probably +4 timing...suspension is elkas up front w/ laeger +2 +1 a arms, re-valved rear shock, stock swingarm These are just the plans for now, they are subject to change at anytime
  12. I wouldn't weld it to the frame...if it flips over I'd rather have it break off at the mounting points than potentially bend the rear sub frame  But the idea of fabbing up your own creation sounds cool
  13. Cleaned up cub - 34's/35's would be ideal Drag ported cub - 39's
  14. Happy Birthday guys!!!!
  15. He is one of the best to deal with...no hassle or BS. And if he ever offers you advice about someone or something....TAKE IT!
  16. I have a thunder pipe... after I eat mexican food
  17. Also if the cylinders have 10 or more psi difference between the two, then it's time to freshen it up.
  18. I haven't dealt with Bills pipes, but I can recommend a few good choices for trail pipes...FMF fatties, Toomey T5's, Paul Turner mids or high revs are all good pipes
  19. Happy Birthday ASSWHORE!!!
  20. Happy Birthday man, hope it's a good one!!!
  21. Thanks everyone! I got to see exactly what I needed to check out
  22. Thanks to you for reminding me of the thread and Jared for making the post...it had exactly what I was wanting to see in it
  23. Nope, the spring trip and "national" trip are supposed to be different dates...I think they were originally talking about the "national" ride to be sometime in the fall. I'm going to do my best to be at both, but will definitely be out there in late March. Odaen, hope to see you out there! Would be nice to meet you in person
  24. I thought I had seen one too, somewhere....thanks for the suggestion, I'll try that
