They are good carbs, I wouldn't hesitate to pick up a set if they had the size I was looking for....

I've got one with brand spanking new pivot bearings, and another with shot bearings. Pick your poison, PM me with an offer

I think that would be really cool to have bansheehq embroidered on the back of the seat cover, in place of the Yamaha  I definitely want a skull cap though, I actually lost the one I used to wear and need a new one. Oh, and if you decide you'd like to try the shock covers, I have two pair that I'll give you to mess with

That's a good idea, lol. My co-worker that played with Vista a lot comes in on Friday, I'll see if I can get some more information about it. I do remember his main problem was in fact driver support. There were several things he tried installing and they simply didn't work, and he couldn't get them to work, and found no support whatsoever as Dave mentioned

Sounds like a pretty sweet gig you got going on...I've been in networking for a few years, it can be fun at times, but can be a PITA as well. We deal with Cisco and Nortel equipment, Nortel is JUNK, LOL. We monitor and troubleshoot/resolve any networking problem for the entire bank...from the branches, ATM's, admin buildings, etc. Sorry grinch, didn't mean to take your thread off track.

Oh hell no, it's staying home for track use ONLY! I'll be out there battling the 4mil on a +8 arm and marvin shaws  To be 100% honest, I didn't want to run one either, but I know if I want to be seriously competitive at my track I'll need one. I was going to run a really long swingarm, but I was told by several people that once the arm gets to be so long, you start losing traction because your rear wheels are hanging out the back of the bike so far....which makes some sense to me, but can't vouch for it since I've never tried it. My decision was based on 3-400 bucks for a new swingarm and hope it's enough, or 150 for a wheelie bar that I'm sure will work. I spent all my cheddar on the engine this go round, I don't have much cash left for anything else...LOL

Dave Moore makes some really nice bars too... http://www.davemooreracing.com/wheelie_bar.php Or you could always find a friend that has a welder and skills...I had one of my friends make me one for this year

Hey, don't feel bad, I lost mine off my drag bike and didn't realize it was missing until half the season was up
-
Hey Dave, what part of IT are you in? I work in the NOC for Regions bank...for the moment

It's because of those little brat kids that get everything they want...and mommy and daddy don't care how much they spend to have their kids in the district finals of a pinewood derby race so they can be the coolest boy scout....I bet there are two soccer moms battling each other's bids :shoothead: -
bansheefreak bigboybanshee Hopefully I'll be rolling in sometime Wednesday afternoon (28th)

Trust me, he's not the only one to do that

Good points!! I still think when you're only running 300' in a drag race, you won't "technically" need more than 3 gears. The only reason I'm getting a 1-5 neutral down is for when I hit the asphalt strip. Granted, I am speaking from a strict drag racing on a track point of view, where you have a set distance to the finish line; rather than on the dunes, where you might go a little farther to pass someone, or the heighth of the hill varies I really have no idea what I'm going to run at the track with my 4mil this year. I ran a 14/41 with the stock cylinder setup last year, I'll figure something out  Ya know, you could always fork out the cash for the "unbreakable" second gear, Dave...you got a 10 mil, what's a few more hundred bucks, geeez J/P
-
I would...that engine should definitely have enough balls to take off in second as long as you're not running ridiculously tall gearing
-
That pretty much sums it up! Also, from what I understand, the 2-5's still have first gear, but you'll have to use the clutch when shifting from first to second...but like banshe-eman said, first gear is practically useless when you're pushing some serious HP, and second gear is a bit longer than first and you can gain more speed out of the hole by taking off in second. If you're only running 300 ft or so, or running up a big hill, you only need a few gears to do it with enough power, which is why you'll see a lot of folks running the 2-5.

Very true!

Bigger carbs and T5's is what I'd do...

I don't run it but I have a co-worker that tried it out. He didn't like it at all...I can't remember all the things he said that he didn't like about it, but he installed it, and then un-installed it a few days later. I have talked to a few more of my friends that had the same experience with Vista. All the folks I talked to are PC tech support, programmers, etc.

That's what I do too...when that option is available

LMAO, in that case, as long as she's not beating the cars up, leasing is the way to go for you...I wasn't sure if she was running through cars cause she was wrecking them or just didn't like them...If she just wants to change cars with the season, then leasing is DEFINITELY your best bet.

And what type of port job, if any...

http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...l=2+into+1+carb http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...l=2+into+1+carb I just installed the same carb setup and have a "similar" overall setup...haven't had a chance to ride the bike yet, but the throttle response is crisper than a hard taco, lol

I've leased a car once and personally felt it was a waste of money since I don't go through cars every couple years. Both my current vehicles are paid for and they run great. I haven't had a car note in years, and that alone is worth buying a car....to me anyways. The money I'm not spending every month for a lease goes for the routine maintenance and any major repairs...so if you're one of those people that take great care of your cars/trucks, and don't mind keeping them for a while, then buying is the way to go. LOL, not trying to pick at ya but your math is wrong...150 bucks per 1k miles over your "limit" would make 3k miles = $450, not $300  :ninja: It adds up quick...4k over = 600, 5k over is 750...you get the point

Happy Birthday!!!!!!   -
That makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one. Before every race I put in fresh plugs, check them after the first pass, then will ride on them for the night (unless something happens) and I'll check them again at the end of the night. To me, if something is going wrong inside the engine my plugs will tell me....and by checking them so often I should be able to catch the problem before it becomes too late, lol I usually carry the typical sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, electrical tape, zip ties, mallet, allen wrenches, gear and premix oil, and extra gas of course. If I have any kind of major failure I just load it up and take it home....fix it over a beer
