  2. helicoil will be fine if you do it right.. you can buy the kit comes with few coils the tool to turn it in and a tap and bit.. i think alot of ppl just stick a helicoil in there and hope it works but you actually drill hole out with bit supplied and then tap it with tap supplied then turn in helicoil and break of tab .. stronger then new cus now your turning on metal and the alum part never moves or get worn..

  4. take the filter off and look in there see if the slides are open.. if so you might have got the slides crossed or the cable might be in a bnd and pulling slides open... if it was an airleak i would think it would take a sec then rev up... sounds like it revving to the moon so you prolly wouldnt have time to spray carb cleaner around carb see if it bogs down but if you can try that it will tell you if you have an air leak..
  5. well go with a 4mm stroker talk to yourbiulder and see what he can do to make sure your porting is good for a 4mm stroker..
  6. if your looking to buy new i would go with a noss head ... you can use stock head studs and plus support a sponser of this site.. other then changing studs i think coolheads are ok...
  7. get a 4mm stroker and a set of cubs...
  8. you will need 795series pistons and cut domes with or without a spacerplate.. biulder should help you decide.. but need porting for a 4mm too get most out of the motor....
  9. if you can come down just come down.. say if the site are tooken anyone will be glad to let you camp with them.. just drive around with hq real big on your door.. if you drive 15hrs you wont be turned away... somebody will fit you in...
  10. well it burns twice as fast so you might figure it lasting half as long as your banshee does now on gas..

  13. yeah the rubber helps with vibration.. but a billet one wont.. but ima a cheap ass and my rubber broke so i just put a bolt and nut thru it... its still somewhat rubber mounted just has a bolt thru it now.. i'll prolly get billet ones when i get diff pipes..
  14. some places you cant have any lettering on the flag.. but most ppl just put that flag on top then something like this under it..
  15. yeah dont grab the plug wires but just grab the wires going to them and up under thentank.. then go back by the tail light and wiggle them too...
  16. mine did that too i just drilled a hole thru it and put a bolt and nut on it.. so its still rubber mounted but wont come apart..
  17. like me and soneone else stated before check under your carbs there is a arrow on the case and a arrow on the clutch arm the should line up if they dont you need to take the clutch cover off and adjust the screw in the basket to get them aligned.. then worry bout the adjustment on the handlebars.. if the arrows are lined up you prolly have grooves in basket.. guess your rod and ball coulda welded too but i have never had that happen so i dont know if it sticks it engaged or makes it slip like a mo fo.. one more thing do you know if it has the right oil i have seen some put wrong oil in and it will be engaged till it gets real hott to make oil thinner...
  18. if you have stock bansee or mildly modded dont waste your money on straight gears.. use that money towards something more useful for a mildly modded banshee...
  19. you will have to lossen the other 3 to move the intake back enough to get that one tight then tighten the other ones back up ...
  20. you might try some billet hangers maybe the rubber bushing in the stock hangers lets it move over there while riding a bouncing it around.. or throw a washer on there to move the pipe out some..
  21. my brothers banshee did this and we found a loose/halfbroken wire going to the coil.. up under the tank.. fixed it and it ran good after words.. does it run like shit sitting still??? if so have it running and grab the wires and move them see if it runs better when they move at certain points...

  23. glad you found it.. and for anyone that reads this.... learn from this.. stuff some shop rags around your rods at the case to keep the clip from falling into the case..
