  1. You can swap out that DEK needle for an EEK needle and that will let the main push a lot more fuel through and should make that 230 a lot happier... if you catch my drift. I had to on my 2-1 intake setup. And no, there is no bigger than a 230, but you can contact Holley or maybe JET for some metered drill bits and start drilling em out....
  2. he's lyin...
  3. I may not be following along very fast or something, but did you say that you richened the needle all the way? And by that, I mean putting the clip all the way to the bottom, lifting the needle up? If not, try that.
  4. I look at it this way. I take the assumption that most of the peeps asking these things don't know how to check plugs, if they did, then they'd probably know how to jet, and if they knew that then they wouldn't be asking. This doesn't apply a lot of times, but I assume that for safety sake. Then, I'll take what I think they should be at and make sure they are a size or so rich, so if they go home, throw it in and hammer down, they don't blow the piston into a million pieces. Now, with the airbox lid off and such, 310 and 320 is not unusual for Fatties. With the lid on, it wouldn't surprise me to be at 290 and maybe 300. I didn't see he still had the snorkel or I would've told him to take it off and burn it!! But I'd rather him throw a 300 in there than a 270, that's for sure. See where I'm coming from. Honestly, I think 290 is gonna be pretty damned close. Hell, I ran 320s in my bike with Fatties and no lid, with VForce reeds, and those will lean you a size as well. Cool, well maybe he'll let us know how he ends up.
  5. I'm guessing that's a single 33pwk carb? Didn't notice that before. How does it start with that 52 pilot in there? Also what position is your needle in. What EXACTLY do you mean by midrange, and is it all the time, only at WOT, or when, who, what, how and why? Info man, give us some details. I'll just add that I imagine it's jetting more than your timing being advanced, where's your timing at anyway, is it the +6 you mentioned?
  6. What pilot do you have in there now?
  7. yea right!! Man, on your machine, start with 290 or 300s and a 27.5 pilot. Do a search for plug chop and follow those directions on reading the plug and you should be set.
  8. The compression of the motor will have more to do with the need for race gas than the timing will. If you are close to the "magic" number on compression for needing race fuel, advancing your timing will make that requirement more likely. But, if your compression isn't too high, then there's no reason you couldn't run +6 on pump fuel, but I doubt I'd go any higher than that. I ran +7 on mine with 155 lbs. of compression on 104 w/ oxygen. Made for a nice combination.
  9. Just get a long thin punch and raise the ass end all the way up so there's no pressure, and just beat the hell out of it. Biggest damn sledgehammer you can find. It'll come out.
  10. what kind of file, email to : [email protected]
  11. Even though this would probably be better suited in the ...Banshee Repairs and Mods section, I'll say check your reeds.
  12. Hey Brooke, what would I get if I scanned your UPC code? j/k I do like your card as well. Nice and simple, there's something nice about simpleness sometimes.
  13. Holy port size batman... Better get ya a set of 40mm's to flow those badboys....
  14. Yea, brooke that does look good. Bummer on the ph # thingy, you can always pm it to me.... aaah, never mind. Yea, that card sounds very fitting for you, with the font and the looks/brains comment.... Led, I do like the second one better. Not sure how long it took but thanks. I'm saving them and "consulting" with the others.... CEJ, can you say, "caller-ID"? If anyone feels the need to call me, (cough* Brooke *cough) well then you have my personal cell phone number, I ain't skeered.... Later peeps. keep the good work coming....
  15. I don't know anything about San Antonio, but check out TexasATVs.com and look around there. There's a forum and everyone there is from Texas and a lot of them are from the Houston area and there's probably some San Ant. peeps as well. I'm sure some peeps would know where the areas are. Scott
  16. I like it, exactly what I was thinking of or thereabouts. After seeing it tho, there a couple things I'm looking at. Can the flag image be a little more transparent or, not sure what I'm talking about but maybe not stand out quite so much.... like black in the corners fading in or I don't really know. I don't know if I'm totally wild about the font either. Maybe a wider bolder font, not so skinny if that makes sens.... everybody's a critic huh? does look good tho...
  17. Damn, I thought you were talking about Stephen Clark....
  18. Hey man, I replied to your TexasATVs thread. Just thought I'd give ya a shout seein as we're both on this one as well...
  19. Hmmm, the fax number is probably not that big a deal, but maybe my cell phone number would be better.... 903-651-5151. And, I'm not sure what kind of file they need in order to print the cards.... oh well, i'll deal with that later.
  20. Alright all you techno-nerds, give a peep some help. I need a business card designed for a new "division" of my company. This is going to be a national (to some extent) business building metal buildings, small-scale convention centers, horse/riding arenas, and horse barns. I have a picture of a card from a business a buddy owns and want to do something similar. HIs card is glossy black, doubt you can tell in the pic. I want a black background with the name standing out and want it very professional. Let me know if you have any questions, I'll keep an eye on this thread. My info is: Ameritex Barns & Buildings P O Box 490 Whitesboro, TX 76273 800-Tex-Barn - Office 903-564-1924 - Fax www.ameritexbarns.com www.redishconstruction.com [email protected] Scott Redish
  21. Nerfs are sold. Shocks are still for sale, however I have a few inquiries. Scott
  22. Your probably spinning like a bitch. Get you some good meats and air them puppies down and it'll really help the launch. The launch is everything and once the 450 gets out in front, it's hard to gain ground on it, and that's where they're best, getting a good jump, where the Banshee spins for a few. A shorter swinger will help that as well, not too mention make it more fun on an mx track. I have a stock shortened I'll sell pretty cheap. My bud with the Banshee. We race and he's got plenty of power, and if he gets a good launch, I got my work cut out for me, but most of the time, my 450 gets a better jump and it's all over, well, not 2 bikes, but you catch my drift. And it all has to do with his rear tires spinning. His hooks wayyy better now with the iRazr rears on the back. Taller gearing (i.e. 15/41) will help tire spin as well. Stock gearing spins like a BITCHHHH!!
  23. I'm not your average texan.
