  1. Look at the intake I just bought. One word - AIRSTRYKER
  2. that's a dumb question. Of course you can feel the difference. The question is, do you have enough mods to pull the 15? It usually doesn't take much more than pipes, reeds to pull a 15.
  3. What's his name, ebay name, handle, nickname.... EDIT: wait, nevermind... I see it now...
  4. Not really sure, but probably in the 140 range at sea level. It can run good when warmed up because the rings will expand when warmed up. Hard starting isn't for sure compression, but it's a good place to start and eliminate, if you know it's not in the jetting. I've got friends who need top ends who'll kick that bitch 10 or 12 times to get it to start sometimes. Drives me nuts. Do you use the choke to cold start or not, what about warm start?
  5. that's kind of a weird thing. I loved them in the woods/trails, low/mid is incredible with the Gorr port, but I still wanted the top end of T5's and they don't have that, of course. They just fell off a little earlier. If you ride it and shift properly, you can easily run a front sprocket higher with the PT's and have gearing on your side, and they're super easy to ride and extremely smooth. But with me, it was all about the top end, funny how that works. You build it to make the most lowend you can, and then when you have it, you bitch. That's why I went to the thumper, incredible low end and awesome top end. Just FYI, I spanked several different shee's with my Gorr port and PT's in some straight drags. One was a ported Pro Circuit bike, the other was a Toomey bike and several others. There was one bike that was pretty even with me, funny thing is he had a Duncan port and PT's. But, it's all in the shifting. If you wait too long to shift, it falls of a little, you just have to think "lug it", cause that's what the PT's like. I'm not going to lie, Fatties are great pipes also. They don't quite have as smooth of a powerband and it doesn't quite come on so soon, but they'll rev past the PT's on the top end. It always boils down to riding style and what your looking for.
  6. No offense, but I'm going to wager that you didn't try searching... cause you'd still be reading.... I had really good low end in mine, but still killer top end. Wouldn't run anything else. I had a pair of 34mm Flatsides to put on and just decided last night that I like the single so much, I'm selling the 34's and getting another single 35, but airstryker this time and a Graydon intake.
  7. check your compression...

    Rear wheels

I want some nice looking rear wheels for my 02 Banshee. Stock may be considered if the price is right. .160s and .190s are also good. I don't want .120s, too light, but .160s are ok. Most of all, I want them cheap. Thanks peeps. EDIT: Forgot to add that I need 9" rears. Thanks.
  9. Noooo... The dial-a-jet sucks fuel in from the bowl and disperses it into the air/fuel stream. The "dial" adjusts how much fuel it gets... It can adjust 10 main sizes I believe, 5 up / 5 down
  10. Oh, and just FYI, I do like my banshee, it ain't going anywhere.
  11. I have a good pair of Mikuni TM Flatside 34mm carbs. I was wanting to go to bigger dual carbs, but I'm not so sure now. I'll take $250 shipped for the two. Scott
  12. First, I'd like to see you hitting 75 or so in the trails "all the time". Second, I'd like to see you running from the cops in the street. Third, if you actually do that, then obviously your too young to know any better... and it shows how you dumb you are. I'm not that old, but old enough by now. I've been through the "running from the cops" thing and I can look back and see how dumb I used to be. You have to look at the sales??? 4 stroke sales are so so so much bigger than any other machine has been in so long it's ridiculous. Hell, I own a banshee, I race and I went out and bought a 4 stroke, so I can speak from both sides, can you? I'm not saying anything against the original post. Hell, I don't even remember what it was, but the "still i hit top speed all the time on my banshee on trails" is really funny to me. You also probably think your the fastest rider around and can take anyone out.
  13. NEVER too close to put em on and go for it. They can't tell how the air density is in your area, and they can't tell how dry/humid it is. NO ONE can get you right on, not me, them or anyone here. They'll get it somewhat close, but you'll still have to do some plug checking and adjustments.. Do a search for plug chop and that's what you'll have to do when you get them on. Scott
  14. I don't know how much it would or wouldn't hurt performance, but don't waste the time. It surely will not help one bit, and that's a promise. It's a stupid idea, it'll be too loud, too obnoxious and do nothing but irritate people. If you ride in an area where there's not a lot of people, or drag, or don't give a f, then go for it.
  15. Just frequently check your coolant levels... and get some Engine Ice for insurance.
  16. He's right about the air filter. The stocker seals like crap. I'd get a Pro Flow or an intake adapter from our sponsor, NOSS Machine! On the elevation change, can't remember. Had too many beers, honestly. Damn it's harder to type under the influence... There's a percentage, but just can't remember it. Worst case scenario, by going UP in elevation, your mixture will richen so, no chance of leaning it out and burning things up, just the chance of fouling a plug or two. You could probably go down a size for every 2,000 feet. Pulling the lid is a crude way to adjust, but it works sometimes. Remember to check your plugs, especially if you pull the lid. Do a search for plug chop if you don't know how. You may not need to cut the threads in the plug chop, but at least pull the plug and look down in there at the porcelain.
  17. Hey, have I seen that before? Yea, that topic will hopefully get you started right. Jetting is a very simple thing, but it's the kind of thing that is hard to explain normally. Read that linked thread for some good info. Scott
  18. you might need go one bigger on the pilot
  19. It could also start running bad a little, like losing power. Did it do something to make you think it's overheating?
  20. The air screw isn't going to make a lot of difference if it's happening when you pin it. Let us know whether it's doing it only at full throttle or from 1/2 up or what. You may need to richen the needle some and/or richen the main jet.
  21. Yes. The Dynojet needles are said to be Blaster needles repackaged. I'm not sure why or what they feel helps by using that needle, but I've come across a lot of peeps that had a hard time jetting Toomey pipes and it all boiled down to that needle. They put the stocker back in and it went back to normal. I say, put the stocker back in. No reason to change needles unless there's a problem with the one that's in it. Not sure on your mods, but an easy thing to do is to put it in the 3rd (middle) clip and see how it runs. Then, richen it one by putting the clip in the 4th (one below the middle, which would raise the needle up higher) and see if it's better or worse. If it's better good, if not, go back to third. You'd be looking for more response, maybe a harder hit coming into the power, or it might start sputtering some telling you it's too rich. If it's sputtery in the third, then back it off one, by raising the clip one notch, which would lower the needle down more. Do a search for "plug chop".
  22. If it means anything, I've decided to try to turn the power up in the banshee some. Putting on some 34mm Mikunis, changing pipes to some more mid/top pipes, clamp-on filters... hopefully the portwork I have will work well with the carbs and pull some good power out of it, and still be somewhat smooth. We'll see...
  23. considerably more low end than stock carbs and more top as well than stock carbs. It comes on smoother and lets you run the trails/woods easier and smoother. Coupled with a midrange pipe like Pro Circuits, Fatties and such, they run extremely well. I've never ran them with Toomey pipes, but I've heard they work pretty decent there too, just raises the powerband up some. An EEK needle will probably be a good thing to get and replace the std. DEK that comes in it, but needles are cheap, less than $10 with shipping usually. They are very easy to setup. ONE pilot, ONE main, NO syncing carbs, much easier overall, plus the throttle pull is easier since your only pulling one slide. Can you tell I'm a fan?
  24. do a search for mods and you'll be reading all week. quicky summary: 1)Noss air intake adapter plate/filter 2)pipes 3)tires
