  1. Got on my mom's computer today to help her do some window's updates. Got them all DL'ed and installed. Restarted and we come to the logon screen. Let me backup: she had some issues with viruses and just crap that clogged her computer. It was totally erased, cleaned and formatted then the OS (XP Pro) was put back on. This was about 2 weeks ago. We put on AVG AntiVirus, Spybot and Ad-aware. This thing should be squeeky clean. Anyways, I couldn't remember the NEW password that she just put on for the new install. I put one in then another. Not sure but probably tried 5 times, then I got the right one from her like I should've done in the first place. Well, I put the right one in, and .... the screen goes black with an error message window.. it says something like "The program entered a command, but the command length is incorrect. Please contact your system administrator." Now, it only did this WHEN the right password was entered. If I purposely entered the wrong password (to see what it'd do) it would just show the little bubble about the password being incorrect. I can't imagine this thing having a mental virus breakdown 2 weeks after a total reformat and all, with it being cleaned and monitored really well. So, WTF? Does it have a password timeout if I incorrectly enter the password a certain number of times? Is there a way to get around this logon? WTF? Thanks fellas, Scott
  2. WTF???? Where have I been? Dammit Brandon, hate to hear of your hospital stay. I'm sure it'll all work out and hope it happens quickly. Best wishes to you man and look forward to hearing from you. We know your tougher than hell, so just hang in there.
  3. The Pulse Charger is a great pipe also. More torque than most of them and the HP numbers are as high as any. Seriously. He has the dyno time and paperwork to prove it. Scott
  4. It has a lot to do with rider, more than it is machine. A Honda with the HRC kit puts out around 45 ponies, maybe a couple more with a full exhaust and some intake mods, but the torque is amazing. The YFZ can get to 50 a tad easier, but a little less torque. The Banshee, as we all know, can push the 50 hp mark pretty easy but usually requires portwork to do it. Most people that are buying the 450r arent' doing it to drag and take down Banshees, they're doing to be more trail friendly and competitive in the racing scene, which they are. Now, I have taken down some Banshee's and YFZ's with my 450r, but, I've also been taken down by some Banshees. Sometimes, the same Banshee that'd beat me, I'd take down later, or vice versa. Rider input has A LOT to do with it. Oh, and Raptors are a joke stock and mildly modded. I just recently got my arse slightly handed to me on a local track. My machine has 10 G's into it and the machine that gave it to me was bone stock with a perpetual overheating problem. He is just a young, crazy, don't give a f*ck, go-get-em rider and I'm an old slow ass I guess. This dyno sheet is an HRC cam, full exhaust (Pulse Charger), air intake setup, and head porting (which is not near as drastic as porting 2 strokes).
  5. Doesn't look too bad, I wouldn't mind seeing it a tad darker, but with the weather warming, like you said, it should be fine. Scott
  6. I'd like to hear info on that thumb throttle as well...
  7. I haven't been around much lately either, but Brooke, I'll catch you IM sometime. I like chattin with ya as well And, if you ever need it, I got your back.
  8. When I ported my motor, the std. DEK needle didn't have enough taper to let the main really give it the fuel. I had to go to an EEK needle. Same exact needle except the taper is steeper so it comes on to the main a tad sooner and lets it give it more fuel at 3/4 to WOT. My machine ran much better that way. I was up to a 230 main with the DEK and backed off to 205 with the EEK. Give CarbParts.com a call and tell you need that needle. They'll get it to you quick.
  9. I doubt very little. It's one of those deals where you need to install them and see how it's running and where the changes need to be made if there are changes that need to be made. It might need some main jet adjustments and maybe some pilot adjustments or neither. Just put em on, and run a plug check.
  10. Dale, WTF are you doing half-way around the damned world? Since when does Raytheon send your ass packing that far? j/k But I didn't know you were involved with that either. Be safe and watch your ass. If you see a fellow Banshee, be sure to salute. Time to hook up and ride some dammit!! Be safe man.
  11. On the 7.3's, 16 - 17 mpg is good mileage. That's about what you can expect if all is well. I"ve heard of going over, but it's kind of rare. My dad's modded 2wd 7.3 would get 19 on the highway, but don't expect a 4wd to get that. My 4wd 7.3 got 16 to 17 and on occasion, under 75 on the highway, downhill with the wind at my back, I could get 18, but rare. 6.0's are a little different. I can honestly get right at 20 mpg on the highway going 75. Typically, in town, with my HEAVY foot, I get 16 to 18. Towing might push it down to 15 depending on the weight, but even then it's usually at 16. I'll be right over, you got beer right?
  12. They're really not that hard, as long as you aren't afraid to drill and tap into something you don't want to be making mistakes on. Putting them in the cab and mounting is baby shit. But, if you have the cash and the time to let go of your truck, it's your call.
  13. Mullet
  14. The gas/premix ratio doesn't really change anything. I'd find a ratio that I like and stick with it. 32:1 is plenty, winter or summer. In regards to the main, 280 sounds about right. I'd leave it at that if it's running good and make your changes and see how she acts. It'll be leaner with the airbox lid off, but it'll also be summer and hotter, so check your plugs and follow what you read. Scott
  15. I ordered a set of IMS Heel Guards for my 450r and they sent me 400ex guards thinking they'd work. Rather than hassle with returning them, I thought I'd at least try to give someone a good deal. $120 shipped. Scott [email protected] or PM me
  16. Reeds are sold. Fuel Valve is very close to being sold. Scott
  17. This is friggin awesome for a logo. I really like it.
  18. Boonie, when you goin 6.0? EDIT : Oh yea, if you want gauges, give me a call. I'll give you a good deal, as long as the prices quit going up...
  19. Did someone say, "Blow Job Cleaner"?
  20. Whatup peeps, found some stuff in my toolbox. I have a Pingle Dual Feed fuel valve. $50 shipped. Great condition, barely used and has all the goodies with it. Also, I have a brand new pair of replacement reeds for the V-Force Delta II. $60 shipped. Let me know.
  21. You know... this place has gone to hell since I haven't been able to be around much anymore....
  22. That's the deal right there. Call local quad shops/dealerships and ask them about local races. They'll point you in the right direction. From there you'll be able to contact the race associations or parks and get the requirement info. Just start asking... Good luck.
  23. only way is to double or triple em like freestyler said. You'll have to try it several times and get the speed and rythym down... hence the name "rythym section".... Good luck. Whoops sections are the most fun..... it's all about the timing.
  24. If you Duncan, and similar performance to what you have now but with more low end, get Paul Turner Hi Revs, they are great pipes. Better than T5's IMO...
