  1. i did it on my banshee in about 1 foot of water, but i definately skimmed across the top of it, you'll know when you are hydroplaining, and touching ground.. its pretty fun, but definately hit the water full pin!
  2. well, for a guy your size, i would have went with the DS, not because its better, but its a much larger bike in size, and stock for stock is a much better ride. But since you did pick up a shee, the mods are endless, set of pipes should be just fine!!!
  3. we're not trying to carve canadians are we, how sad would that be. All he's saying is to give your head a shake, you could way 400pounds, the banshee will still come out on top, if you were pulling a tractor trailer behind you, you would still come out on top LOL.. now go and prove that 4 strokes are slow!!! (yes i am kidding!!)
  4. good stuff to hear, anyone else have any input on the yzf450???
  5. can these mods be done to a stock banshee, (the flywheel/ timing) or is it more recommended for ones with heavy mods, pipes, reeds, etc?? Would there be a big difference in a stock shee?? thanx
  6. so i took my bike out today for the first time this year, went out to the local sand pit, and there was a ton of people there. So anyways, one of them was on he new yamy 450, and let me try it out, my oppinion.. very nice bike. It rides a million times better then a stock banshee, (obviously gas shox are the way to go) and pulls in sand like my bike on pavement.. first few gears, i couldnt believe how hard it pulled, but it falls on its face in fth gear, it definately could use some more top end.. definately not faster than a stock banshee top end, cant wait to see the aftermarket goodies for it.. the only downfall, the seat is crazy hard.. which is understandable since it is a race ready bike, but should come with the option of a softer seat.. you know to keep the gf happy!!! LOL --JK--
  7. Never heard of this mod before, yes, I may be a little slow.. can someone explain it to me in very fine detail... maybe throw in a few pics for kicks.. thanx Stinco
  8. What do you guys think about it, I hear it rips pretty good, might even think about picking one up, I just hate the fact of hearing that 4 stroke sound coming from my bike!!! But the total race ready, gas shox all that kinda turns me on.. i need some honest coments about it, are they quick, faster than a stock shee, etc etc... Thanx
  9. Right on, i'll give this a shot and see how it turns out, Thanks a ton.. Stinco
  10. I finally took my bike out from a winter of hibernation, changed the oil, cleaned the filter, all that good stuff, brand new plugs too, but when I go to start it, it takes a dozen kicks, and runs on both cylinders for a few seconds, then one side completely cuts out..(clutch lever side) and obviously wont idle on its own.. i remove the plug (clutch side) that keeps shutting down, check the spark, tons of spark.. what the hell is going on here?? Is my coil failing me somehow??? what might this be ???
