lectrons are a good carb for alky.however if your going to run alky and don't have a pingel dual feed fuel shutoff i'd invest in one.also if your running more than 300 ft i'd go with a fuel pump. keihins and mikuni's can also be switched to alky.if keihins are switched over to run alky then they can not be switched back to gas because you have to drill out the dump tubes and they can't be replaced. mikuni's can be switched back to gas since they have replacable dump tubes.

there are some nhra tracks that allow quads to run but they must be stock chassis.i know also rules vary from track to track.at one track you must run slicks or dot approved and the next don't care what tires you run.almost all the tracks are starting to require heel guards or nerf bars as a safety precaution in case your feet come off the pegs. it would be nice to see nhra and ihra come up with a set of rules that are used at all asphalt tracks.

+4 should work and you can probally go to +6 on your timing with the 112 if your at 7500 ft why would you run a fuel with an octane rating of 125-135 ?i would think 91 or 93 would be enough.

34pj's are an excellent carb for stock cylinder drag bikes in my oppinion i ran a set for a couple years.however if your thinking of cubs later on i'd go with 35pwk's.in addition to the carbs you'll need bigger intakes for them.get rid of the boost bottle its just extra weight and serves no real purpose. a question for you though: why t6's on a drag ported motor?get some grr's ,shearers ,t5's or cpi's.as for price you know what you can afford.

i'd start with a working bike and mod from there.

as far as drag pipes go i'm a sworn believer in grr's.my second choice is shearers and then cpi's.however in your case with your mods you maybe further ahead with cpi's or t5's.no one can really tell you which is better for you because only you know how and where you plan on riding and just how your motor runs.

i agree with harlan, a deal is a deal! i say also that if when you buy something from vwpartsman and you aint satisfied when you get it let him know. vw will stand up to his word and make it right.i have dealt with him and he is one of the best most honest guys i have dealt with.i also think that it is pretty low to bad mouth and complain about a part or parts when you did'nt even hold your end of the deal and then try selling the parts and making a pretty good profit and still refuse to pay the remaining measly 5 bucks.its guys like you that eventually ruin the trust that people put in other people.in my oppinion if you will screw a guy out of 5 bucks you will eventually screw another person or persons out of alot more.oh and odaen is deffinately not a dumb ass,he is also a man of his word and a great guy to deal with.

i ran 34 pj's on a stock motor and it ran fine.you are to rich on your jetting. i'd say try 45 pilots,148 mains.airscrews out 2 turns.you may need leaner needles.34 pj's are in my oppinion a good carb and they will run on a stock motor.you will however not have quite the bottom end that you have with smaller carbs.keep checking plugs to see how its burning before you ride it much to be sure you dont get it to lean.

how far is it from the pa line to n j raceway park?is raceway park the same as englishtown?

now thats a great possibility,i've seen it happen a couple times at the drags.once to me and once to my son.thankfully though we did'nt crash because of it.

i went to beaver springs dragway here in pa a couple weeks ago.its an ihra 1/4 mile track and it rained before we got there and the track was still damp.i got to make one pass before the rain came again and they had to cancel.it was the very first time i ran on an asphalt track and with it being damp the tires were breaking loose almost the whole eigth mile .when i got to the eigth mile light i was topped out so i squeezed clutch and let it coast thru the 1/4.i had a 1.6 60ft time ,7 sec 1/8 at 93 mph and a 13 sec 1/4 mile et.i was running mc creary speed stars on the rear with a 16-38 gearing with a 1-5 overide and no 6th gear.should of changed the gearing before we went but we were curious and now we got an idea of what gearing we need.i'm goin back very soon ,this time i got a set of hoosiers and geared for it.i'm pretty sure i can get very low 6 sec et in the 1/8 and real close 11 sec et in quarter.that 1 time on asphalt track and i'm hooked,lol

looks to me as though the impact was enough on the lower half of the tire to actually cause the spindle to twist for and thus caused the lower a arm to bend down and back and the upper to bend forward.if it happened as i say it could of also caused the top heim or balljoint to snap.just my 2 cents

i'd have to agree with you loco to a certain extent.alot of builders do bore according to the piston and mark which piston they bored which cylinder for.however alot of builders on the other hand don't mic the pistons indivually when they bore the cylinders.as a rule the pistons are the same or close enough that it dont matter.in rare instances there has been a pretty significant difference in piston specs even though they are supposed to be the same.

yeh sorry i missed ya. i stopped by your camp but one of your buddies ,i think he said his name was nick said you were'nt there.we were there friday evening but we spent to much time at the dyno we did'nt get away from those guys till midnight .saturday i was gonna run in the drags but after seeing the track and with the rain and mud i said no way,lol.how did the little zuki do ?
