  4. yamabond 4 is a semi drying and yamabond 5 is a drying sealant.both are good but i prefer the drying type over the semi drying type.
  5. yamabond 4 and yamaha quick gasket have both been discontinued by yamaha. i believe most yamaha dealers are recommending using threebond tb1104 as a replacement.
  6. passion 421 cub has ran a best of 6.1 in 500ft dirt ,5.5 in 500ft dirt/sand mix , a 3.98 in 300ft dirt and 6.8 @ 98 mph in 1/8 mile on a damp track.
  7. hey duece congrats on you winning the shootout and congrats to miss polaris for runner up
  8. here ya go ,give them a call. Magura USA 1902 Miller Drive Olney, IL 62450 618-395-2200 they can probally help ya.
  9. if they were done by someone who is a reputable builder then in my oppinion yes.however if they were done by some unknown person with a dremel then no.
  10. Dial-A-Jet IS NOT like a Power Jet. A Power Jet feeds raw liquid fuel, just like the other circuits, and works from 7/8 throttle and up. Dial-A-Jet feeds emulsified fuel for instant throttle response and works from just above idle to full throttle.i've never heard of anyone running "dial a jets" with alky. heres a link to dial a jet, read for your self: DIAL A JET
  11. maybe the guy does get on hq and has been reading the slamming hes been recieving, :yelrotflmao:
  12. :yelrotflmao: that was pretty funny champ
  13. yes they will need gaskets unless you are putting them between intakes and reeds and your intakes have rubber o-rings or are stock intakes .in that case you only need them between the reed cage and reed spacer.if your putting them between reed cage and cylinder then you need them on both sides of the spacer.
  14. rustoleom does make a plastic primer and you could also use epoxy primer. i've painted alot of plastic and either of them work good as base on plastic but the epoxy primer cost a bit more.i also start off with bulldog adhesion promoter after i sand with a very fine wet sand.most automotive paints will hold up ok because they have flex abilities in them due to being used on alot of rubber and plastic parts on the newer cars.the automotive paints may not work over top the rustoleom primer though.
  15. you mean get scratches out of the plastic and fenders ? if so you can try using 2000 grit wet sand paper or a better way and it makes them look good is to use product made by 3m called "finess it" and a buffer . i don't know if they sell it in canada but you could ask at an automotive body shop .don't use either on the graphics though.
  16. if it has a 69.75mm bore and a 54 mm stroke then it would be a 413 cc. it says it has a spacer plate so maybe its a 67.25 bore and 58 mm stroke .theres so many possible combo's out there that you can't really call bullshit on the displacement. also since nobody really knows the bike or the owner you can't really call it bullshit.
  17. 275.00 shipped
  18. if it were me and i did mostly trail riding i'd go with the 65mm bore {358cc}or 68 mm {392cc} bore on a stock stroke crank with some 34 or 35 mm carbs. also the t5's in my oppinion would be just fine for trails and such on cubs.forget about trinity though.pm passionre on here and he can help you pretty much decide on the setup that would suit your needs. i love the sound of the t5's also and in my oppinion the are as good as cpi's.
  19. i got a set of stock cylinders ,66 mm bore and ported for a stock stroke.the one cylinder has a couple small scratchs so i'm gonna say they may or may not need bored.they are polished on the outside ,its not a pro polish job but they look pretty good. i'll take 300.00 shipped o.b.o. or may trade for something i need such as carbs bigger than 35mm pwk or lectrons , pvl or simular ignition, small bore drag pipes or other drag parts. let me know if interested .pic 1 pic 2 pic 3 pic 4
  20. i'd say if you got an 1/8 inch bit to go the whole way through the tube that they were probally drilled out. i tried a 34pj i have here and an 1/8 inch is to big to go the whole way through the tube.as i said if keihins are drilled and switched to alky there is no switching them back .the dump tubes are'nt changeable. mikuni's on the other hand can be switched from gas to alky and back again because the dump tubes are changeable.
  21. sounds like just maybe they were switched to alky. if they were there's no switching them back if they drilled out the dump tubes.remove the top and pull the slide assembly out ,turn carb over and remove the bowl and main jet , try to determin if they drilled out the tube. this can be done by using different size drill bits inserted into the tube.
  22. stock carbs? make sure you did'nt get the float bowls switched from one carb to the other.
  23. :yelrotflmao: thanks john . i'm not 62 yet but i plan on racing when i am. i'm 48 yrs old and can still ride and race with the young pups. i probally am the oldest guy on a banshee at the drags i compete in.
