your compression has a few more factors beside the rings.domes size ,altitude .if you had 155-160 and it has dropped that much then i'd recommend pulling the topend off and checking it out .if you never had that much then maybe its just fine and a change of domes will boost it up.you won't know if you need just new rings or new pistons ,maybe rebored or what ever till you tear it down and check it out.if its been awhile or has seen alot of hard running tearing it down and checking it out won't hurt anything.

its over 5 hrs i'd say but heres an anual evnt they started last and it is to be held a different place each year in pennsylvania.its a 3 day event and last years event was awsome.we ran the passion stroker from 4pm till 3in the morning.they had two drags and we went unbeaten in the first drag and took the top prize and money . then they had a headsup run what came to the line .we entered it and went unbeaten and took top prizes, trophy and money.in all we raced around 50 other bikes that night. link--->quadfest 2006

if its kicking back a little on the kick starter the timing is probally advanced about all you wanna advance it.sounds to me like you might have it advanced a little to much.i'd try retarding it just a little bit.

Passion 12 port 4mm longrod, 18 month review
blueshee03 replied to BansheeGuy_IV's topic in Product Reviews
jim is a great guy who builds great running motors and loves what he does .in my oppinion he cares more about building a great running motor and customer satisfaction than he does about making lots of profit off of them.i can't wait to unleash my new passion motor jim's building me at the drags. -
i'm at 3000 ft and run 35mm keihin airstrykers with 40 pilots,140 mains and dek needles in the fourth clip airscrews turned out 2 turns.i'd probally try 45 pilots and 152 mains with cek needles in the center clip to start if i were you.

1997 Drag/Show Banshee

very nice machine .if rudy done the motor work that thing is very fast and very hard to beat in at the drags.i know i've ran against rudy's motors.rudy also cuts the best overide tranny out there.but then he's the man that started the overide. -
fzr clutches work great for drag racing or any riding.drag racing with higher horse power a lock up is a great investment.however if you install a lockup also install a bearing kit to prevent the ball, adjuster and clutch pushrod from melting themselves together and possibly even ruining the tranny shaftthe pushrod runs through.even without the lockup the bearing kit is a great investment.

this guy ain't right.100 + mph in 5 secs.that i'd love to see. -
sorry but yours would be the first that a +4 advance lost power that i'v heard of.you sure it was only a 4 degrees advance?if you go over +4 with a pretty much stock motor then it could cause problems on a stock motor running gas.

What's the best bike?

pro design is ok. a couple of my buddies run bigger strokers at the drags, they run pvl ignitions but more advance will give to topend and less will give to bottom end.i would play with the timing and set it to where you feel you think its the best for your riding and setup.i don't think i'd go much over + 7 tho if your runnin gas.+10 if your running alky.you run the risk of it kicking back when you go to kick start it and that hurts lie a damn.not to mention that it can kick back and throw the starting gear thru the case if it kicks hard enough.

engine started with no pipes or carbs

lmao,i have seen them start backwards,to much timing and they will kick back and run -
rudy done the motor listen to him.he builds a real ass kicking ,hard to beat motor.rudy is one of the finest engine builders out there and i'm pretty sure if you keep in contact with him he will help with any problems you have with it.

i say gearsaver or any type motorcycle tranny oil.it has been discussed many times on here you should not use automotive type fluids in the tranny .they contain detergents that can cause glazing on the clutches and that leads to clutch problems.

check your jetting, with the 2 k&n's you are flowing more air so you just may need to richen it up a bit.also i would say run engine ice.engine ice is great when it comes to cooling the engine.we put it in one of our drag bikes to try it and it ran 30 degrees cooler just by switching to engine ice.i have also heard of a few guys installing a high flo impeller and it actually caused they're bike to overheat because it must of circulated the coolant to fast.

use the pvl on it.it will work ok.every one i know that runs a stroker runs a pvl ignition.a stroker can sometimes be harder to start with a pvl.i'm pretty sure i saw somewhere that the company is now saying its ok to use the pvl with stroker setups.

custom built tripple banshee cases
blueshee03 replied to frocashmoney24's topic in Online Auction Watch
the rz 500 motor is'nt anything like a banshee motor.its a 4 cylinder but 2 cylinders are on top and 2 cylinders are below the 2 top ones.those rz500's ripped -
banshee frames take a lot of modding to put a streetbike motor in it.i have seen a couple done tho.
-
pour chlorox on them then smoke them.

thats right on the money, tuning tuning tuning both motor and chassis.

you do seem like the kind that will never grow up.see you keep forgetting we run those passion motors ,i bet thats why its easy for us to run those times and it seems so hard for you to do it.lol.if you set your chassis and gearing up right with the F.A.S.T. motor running alky you should be able to run a 3.8 or3.9 with no trouble at all in dirt.you see when you wanna run 300ft dirt you set your whole bike up for 300ft dirt.same goes if ya wanna run sand or asphalt.ya also gotta know how to read the type of surface your running on wether it be dirt sand or whatever.i have a lot more years and experience with this type of stuff than you ,so you can say what you want and think what you want.all are entitled to they're own thoughts.by the way if ya think you are gettin to me or i am getting mad from your wise ass comments ,i want ya to know that its just the opposite ,i find ya amusing. experiment with different setups, riding styles or whatever you just might amaze yourself and find out that sometimes things are easier done than you think. have a nice day
