3 guys are sitting on the first tee waiting for the fourth buddy to show up the first guy says"my son is doing great he started out as a lot boy now he owns 5 dealerships and is doing so good he baught a friend a car" the second guy says" my sons doing great too he worked is way up in realestate and now he's a broker and he purchased a friend a house" the third guy says " my son is a stock broker and was able to buy a friend a stock portfollio" the fouth guy comes walking up looking a little bleek and the other guys ask whats wrong? he replies" its my son he's a fucking bum, he's a hair dresser and i just found out he's gay, but he must be doing something right cause he just had a boyfriend buy him a house another boyfriend buy him a car and another one gave a stock portfollio".........welcome to the HQ man.....

you may need to reem them out with a "uni" bit its a tappered teared bit you can get them from a 1/4 inch to 7/8's or 5/8's to an inch and a half........i think home depot has them.......dont over drill or your joint will be sloppy in the arm..............P.S. use lots of oil when drilling and a high speed drill

Hey mike, i dont feel i busted your nuts i just tryed to offer you some sound help, i asked who ported your jugs because ive had 14 shee's and have used i think everyone who's anyone except maybe jeff at fast and i understand he's an awsome builder also but, a good builder would point you in the right direction these guys on the HQ are trying to look out for you, banchetta is right he doesnt have 5200 posts because he's chatting, he's forgotton more about banshee's than i know and i know alot, we are trying to help you so lets start this over and help you get your bike running properly, i think the timing plate is NOT going to solve your problem, lets just say for a second fast, passion, eric gorr, rudy kurtz one of those guys ported your jugs, YOU NEED MORE FUEL AND AIR, youd have to take an 1/8 drill bit to your stock mains to get enough fuel to the combustion chamber and thats just for top end, when you have a motor built and tuned properly you dont sacrafice power anywhere over a stock motor hell youve added in most cases 40 horse power, i wont even say your builder is a knuckle head for the crank comment, but if that was true youd split the crank when you revved the bike in nuetral,when theres no load on the bike, but 80 more psi in the chamber will snap the crank, gearing a 65+ horsepower shee lower to get some bottom is just insane, if you had stock gearing and 80 ponies youd damm near loop it everytime you twisted the throttle, like i said earlyer your top end is cool but its the 7000 rpm leading up to your top end you need to be concerned with, i think locco was dead on with his post's as well, maybe he didnt sugar coat his comments, but they are 100% accurite......i do hope you stick around and learn, if i had a dollar for every dollar someone on this site has saved me over the years with my bikes id have the cash to buy another one...........good luck with your build mike...............jim

you need to do a compression check..............the lowest octane number is 87 to answer your question though

i have a 17 up front which is 9 teeth taller than stock and i still have tons of ass end right off of idle, then of course my mid and top end break my arms......whats up? who did your porting, a woods bike should snap off at about 2k and pull its ass off, i could see where you dont have an over rev like a drag port.......maybe the 26 mm carbs need to go, is it jetted right, maybe its too rich on the bottom and not coming to life as it should, put some fresh plugs in it and ride briskly for a few and do a plug chop, most two cycles do run good at mid to high rpm getting one to snap off at low rpm is key..........most often you gear a ported bike taller..... gearing it lower sounds like something is not right jetting wise, because when it does come on then what? youve got a low geared bike thats winding out prematurly and your shifting your ass off never really letting the motor start pulling hard..if its ported chances are it wants to see more air and fuel........i cant remember what a stock main in a 26 is but seams to me, if you had a 180 stock you be up into the 3's or 4's with a ported, piped, and intaked shee on a stock carb?, who knows where the needles and pilot would be and if you have some compression those stock carbs are being sucked on like a baby on her moms tittie every time that thing completes a stroke...thats my opinion, tuned properly your top end will be two fold what it is now

i took my ohlins off and went with the Elkas, ride height means alot on a track.........but set up improperly even the best shock sucks

it sounds like locco has it dialed in he's right you have to cut it past the shock linkage(between the shock and the carrier) if he does them for a hundred bucks thats the way to go cause it is a little bit of work.............send locco your arm have him shorten it when you get it back bondo his welds and sand them out then paint or powder coat it........since Lee changed the software to this site ive yet to figure out how to post a pic if i could i would show you all what a nice cut looks like, most guys cutting them or making them longer do get a nicer , stronger weld than the stock weld, ive snaped stock swingers and stock axles so there not all that............you CANNOT CUT THE SWINGARM AT THE SWING ARM TO FRAME CONNECTION, IT HAS TO BE PAST THE SHOCK, between the shock mount and rear axle carrier, your rear shock will not work and you could suffer great bodily harm and/or face death off of jumps, but if your riding MX, Trails, Climbing hills, youll love the -2 it hooks great

ive cut a few, its pretty easy, if you measure twice and cut once, i posted a few pages on how to do it last year....... search maybe you can find it, a guy on here "MR.Matt" cut this one for me and bondoed the welds and painted it.......i think i sent him the stock arm and paid him 200 bucks and i think 50 of it was a tip cause he worked his ass off bondoing the welds, cutting them is not hard you need to make a jig so the swinger stays good and square when you weld it.......if i have to ill type the whole thing again if you cant find it, it could be stronger than stock depending how sharp the welder is........ill post a pic in a new thread ATT: Washburn...and you can check it out........

i lease all my cars...... 100% total right off for starters you buy you amortize over the life of the loan.......take a car thats 40 grand your lease payment is based on half the price so 400 a month......... buy it and your payments 800 a month if at the end of the lease you want the sled, roll it over and keep paying 400 a month......no matter what you do you drive a car off a lot and its worth 2/3rds of what you just paid for it, so if you buy when you pay it off its worthless any way unless you do a 36 month buy then your payments a grand + instead of 8 hun............anyone hear wanna pay 8 hun a month to drive a decent ride? and after you pay it off it breaks and cost ya 8 grand to repair, lease it and its allways under warrenty if it breaks take it to the dealer and get a new one...... you can drive a 90 thousand dollar car for 900 a month and give uncle sam that much less cash at the end of the year

youd better get a compression tester.......unless your getting up to 150 psi you dont need race fuel............maybe get a timming plate with your head and domes, the delta reeds are crisp providing your jetting is right on, if your psi gets to high you have to start thinking about balancing your crank and all that, 8 bucks a gallon for good race fuel, then youll need a good port job with larger carbs, man the list will just go on and on and on and on and on........
