yeah deffinately warm up longer than 30-40 secs. i let mine warm for probably maybe 3 mins. i wait till the head and pipes are nice and warm them i put around until my temp gauge goes to 100, for some reason my gauge doesnt work at idle

rebelbanshee2 replied to STLbanshee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
the air box is removed with the toomey. i ran the 2:1 all summer except one day when it was a mud fest. even in pretty wet conditions it did good. just take it easy through puddles and keep up on filter maintanance andyou will be fine. it adition to the power it makes rejeting and alot of other things easier to -

After reading the BS stuff the EPA is doing to our sport and thinking about something my father has said I have a question to ponder. Who do you fear more the government or Al Qeda? Just to give some perspective- -does al qeda steal half of what you make each year? -does al qeda seek to disarm you actively and on a regular basis? -does al qeda have schools that indocrinate our children with socialist BS everyday -does al qeda make you register with them (SSN) so they can find you and screw you at will? does al qeda tax every thing you own multiple times? -does al qeda tell you cannot drive a banshee off road? -does al qeda tell you your toliet cannot F'in hold a decent amout of water to flush a friggin turd? -does al qeda put so many darn regulations on everything you touch each day so you can barely leave your house? -can al qeda take your children from you if you spank them? -can al qeda tell you not to build on your own land becasue of some retarded animal? -does al qeda regulate business so much that its impossible not to break the law? -does al qeda tell you that you cannot allow smoking in your own fraking business(NY at least, F you very much gov. pataki) -does al qeda- fill in the blank........ well im going to stop there before my blood preasure gets too high....thats my rant for the day. So to answer my question who do i fear more? deffinately the government no one screws me more and with such tenacity, and at least i can fight al queda if i want to...

i need to get a new basket and the $200+ hinson ones seem a bit much. Who else makes good baskets for a more reasonable price? or does anyone have one that want to give me for free? hehe

air isnt being forced into the intake. the piston is trying to suck through the intake but it has nothing to suck cuz the throttle is closed off, maybe your mind was too open and that went right through this has been one of the most intersting and amusing posts ever

well when you take the seat off you see that arc shaped cut in the tanks cover plasic and the tank has a depression there a couple brackets coming from the bolts on the back of the tanks and its good. the cdi fits perfect in there, the voltage regulator doesnt. so thats what im working on and wanted to make sure there was anything goofy with it before i found a spot. Ill probably just zip tie the little guy onto the back of the cdi if it doesnt need anything special ill get a pic when its done. hoping to revove the 2 ft. of wires that go all the way to the back
-
just get a cr high in a 7/8 bar
-
Im reloacting my electronics to behind the tank so im wondering..Does the voltage regulator need to be mounted to anything metal to ground it? or can it mounted to anything, like plastic? Im alittle unsure becasue the gound wire bolts to the regulator and the whoe housing is metal. thanks

well you need a leak down tester. do a search, somebody shows how to make them and use them
-
did you do a leak down lest after you put it together? reason i ask is maybe its a big air leak that is making it too lean to start.

Knocking In The Transmission Side
rebelbanshee2 replied to usafbanshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
mine does that...or did that...i dont pay attention to it any more. i think it is the water pump -
but a 15 on there i think you just might like it
-
hmmm well if you are talking about like a butterfly valve since it pivots in the middle one side is being pulled down to open it but the other side is pulled down to close it so it equals out? thats the only thing i can think of
-
well i dont know much but here are my thoughts.....air and fuel (the mixture for idle) are still being sucked in on a closed throttle just not as much, so combustion is still happening. however at the speed the piston is traveling it is trying to draw in more air that the carb allows because of the slide or whatever being nearly closed. ever take one of those syringe deals (not a needle kind the kind that can draw fluids) and put your finger over the end and try to pull the plunger back? it is difficult, there is quite a bit of resistance. this is the same kind of resistance that causes the engine to slow with the throttle blocked off. The piston is trying to draw air, but its pulling againts a basically blocked passage way. since a diesel has nothing to block the air this cannot happen. So thats what makes sence to me...although maybe boonman has just polluted my mind with his lies

anybody?

oh and DONT put armor all on your seat!!

well i guess he only needs one...i thought he had to replace all of them...im retarded

sweet this thread was quite informative!....so then when its called "compression braking" its not really accurate? its really "vacuum braking" maybe im wrong but thats my understanding of it
