Bansheeman1121 Posted April 22, 2007 Report Share Posted April 22, 2007 Yup my lucky day, heres the story went fishin with a couple of my niehbors who are younger than me they all have quads so there pretty much good buddys of mine, so we went out fishin, i had a couple beers fishin maybe 5 budwiesers at most. Im 20 and 2 of the guys with me were 17 one was 16 no fish so im was pretty beat so i figured pick up 2 12 packs on the way home go home have a few beers and pass out,well didnt quite work out that way, i stopped at a store got a few 12s and right as im puttin the last 12 pack in the car a cop drives by stares me down couldnt help but get a little nervous so i close the door throw her in drive and take the backroads from the store, well bout a minute later a cars comin up behind me fast and i knew it was the cop. I wasnt drunk by anymeans didnt even have a buzz so i drive smart use my blinkers drive slow stop at signs and so on, well this cop follows me for about a mile and flips on the lights,asks me for id and when i hand it to him checks it not 21 so he looks in the back sees the beers and then all the fun begins gives me a alchol test i blew a frickin .28 and he hits me with a dui underage and shit luckily none of the younger guys had anything to drink at all so they all came up 000.. But crist what a hassle just got my frickin cdl so now im fed on that situation, im gonna be stuck drivin the quad around for a while but just my luck and i didnt even catch a frickin fish Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

locogato11283 Posted April 22, 2007 Report Share Posted April 22, 2007 something isnt right here. whats the legal limit of intoxication in your state? here in missouri its .08 and for drivers with a cdl its .04.. so unless you were driving extremely bad theres no reason why you should have gotten a DUI for that. at most since youre underage, a MIP possibly for having the beer. i think id be checking with a lawyer or something because the whole thing doesnt sound right. what reason did he have to stop you if you werent driving bad? i can go to wal mart and buy beer. if a cop sees me he cant pull me over for putting it in my truck. so something has to give here.. B. you look really underage and he seen you with the beer and pulled you over under curiosity. Either way ,you said he followed you for a mile before he even attempted to pull you over so that there says everything that should be said. sounds to me like harrassment. Have you ever heard that after a cop follows you for a mile he can't pull you over? Well in some ways thats true but if you provoke it your ass is busted! definately get a lawyer and get him in the courtroom on the plus side if hes really busy on the court date and doesnt show up to court your free to go.. but if you get caught with dwi or dui while underage say byebye to your license. That kinda got to me becuase whats he gonna pull everyone walkin out of the store with a case of beer over? I drove perfect like i said i didnt even have a buzz on i went the speed limit stoped at all signs and useed my turn signals and boom he just decided to pull me over, here in pa after 12 midnight its legal to pull somone over without probable cuase but it was only 9 30 when all this took place.. Id never ever drive sloshed and i just dont understand why i was pulled over sure i was in wrong doing but for crist sake i was just gettin a 12 pack to go back to my house and a have a few beers... 64xracer Posted April 26, 2007 Report Share Posted April 26, 2007 A little trick my high dollar lawyer told me when I was younger and in your situation...He said I can tell you not to drink and drive and its just gonna go in one ear and out the other so this is what you do....Always keep a sealed pint of whiskey in your vehicle at all times, if you get pulled over shut the vehical off grab your bottle get out and down it. The cop can not prove that you were drunk while you were driving because you drank after you drove so no DUI but you may get public intoxication or some other small charge.
