  1. any idea if one set covers both carbs or would I need to order two packs?
  2. I saw the diagram but was looking for actual pics of the bag with the parts to verify what all actually came in it. The description only said Needle Set so I wasn't a 100% sure about pulling the trigger on ordering.
  3. great, thanks for the PN and that includes the cable retaining clips I'm looking for? I've looked at that PN before but couldn't locate any pics so didn't know what all it had.
  4. it for the stock mikuni carbs, I can't find a part number or ref as to what they are actually called so I can order them or find locally.
  5. Been searching for a PN all day and just can't locate it or even find it anywhere for sale. The retaining Clips that hold the cable to slide are MIA now and the cables won't stay attached to the slides very well. Anyone have a part number I can use to order some or any ideas on different retainers to use to keep the cable in place.
  6. Got a stocker picked up to have cut but still looking for an already cut dome for pump gas as well. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  7. If it was only idling with 're choke half out prior you have a few possibilities, either your tors delete still has install issues or most likely your pilot jets are still plugged up. When you pushed the choke in and it idled really high I was my likely because you were running out of fuel on that circuit and pulling air in. Pull the carbs apart, make sure the pilot and mains are cleaned out really well and reassemble carbs making sure they are both mounted on the proper sides with slides in correctly. Been down this road before and my pilot jet took forever to clean as it was so gummed up from old fuel. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  8. What's the disadvantage to running only one clip? This motor is going back together tomorrow so I don't have time to order another clip to double up. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  9. Pto side..... the clutch side assume and what do you mean by if I'm that far in order another half moon or full clip? Thanks for the quick response Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  10. Got a weird one here and got my new crank but seem to have a bit of a stalemate with it going in. The old 4mil hotrods had an o-ring on the flywheel side and used a c-clip on the other side. The new one has o-rings for both sides so should the c-clip that goes in the case to hold the crank be removed and just use o-rings? I read on hotrods site that the o-rings are in place of those clips now. So which is the way as I have now read both ways are proper. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  11. Anyone know what size the bolt is that I snapped off? I forgot to measure it and need to pick up a new one today before the motor goes back together tonight. Possibly and m8 or m6 x 1/4"? Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  12. Came off a banshee I picked up. They do not have main jets as the previous owner drilled them out and ran on alky however the carbs are still stock with no modifications anywhere from what I see. Overall decent shape just to big for what I want to use on my motor. Comes with caps, slides and cable for banshee. $200 shipped obo PayPal preferred Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  13. Going through a bin I came across a set of banshee 795 pistons that I bought but never used. Looking at them I noticed they have the same number stamped across the center but the top 4 digit number is different. I thought I struck gold as I'm rebuilding my 4mil but now I'm lost as to what the numbers mean. Both pistons have 795m06450 across the center but one piston has 7435k across the top and the other 1069d. What does this mean? The 1069d looks a little different above the hole where the rod connects. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  14. Is it possible to fix a head that is nicked up from the bottom end letting go? I would assume it's trashed with the divots in there Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  15. Shanye: if I don't come across a head done already your my best bet if you can hold out a day or two? Thanks Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  16. That's the cost of cutting a head? It's been a while but I am looking to stay on pump gas as this will be an all around bike. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  17. Looking for a reasonable head to either have cut or possibly one already cut for a stock bore 4mil stroker crank 115. Been running into issues with a bike I picked up and money is dwindling quickly. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  18. Got the bolt out today after work and ended up drilling it out a little then using an extractor and some heat. I had those laying around so I went slow and we're good to go. Thanks for the tips. Next issue is cutting the swingarm bolt off. I got the dreaded seize with this puppy. I can't wait to see what else is in store with this project. 19. I dont think there enough bite to grab with pliers to get the remaining amount out so it looks like a left handed bit might be the first option as well as heat. The other screw for the same piece was damn near impossible to get out as well. The larger screw in the pic was barely even tightened down.
  20. My 4mil threw a bearing so I ordered another one and split the cases to get ready. I snapped a small screw off in the lower case that holds a thin bracket of some sort. I'm not sure what the piece is actually called but there are two pieces that connect the halves together and for some reason they were red locktite in or something causing the Phillips head to break off. What are my options here as far as needing that piece or tapping and re-threading. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  21. your prob alright with the main jets, any ideas what the pilots are? What is the weather like where you are at? Do you have any pics of how much it is actually smoking? Sometime you just can't do anything about a little smoke.
  22. I believe the stock position is the 3rd clip. What do you have done to your shee? If you were running stock jetting and went with these carbs with the 310 and possibly different pilots, chances are your far off from where you need to be in regards to jetting. Is your bike stock or are you piped + extras?
  23. Just curious but how does the shee run when hammering into the throttle? Is there a chance you mixed up the slides? I assume you had stock carbs originally and swapped out for the non tors set-up? If so what was your jetting on the ones you pulled? Was it identical? You need to get back to basics if everything was fine and all you did was swap out the carbs. Pull them apart and clean them out real well, make sure both are jetted the same, float heights the same, slides installed correctly and your air box or whatever air filter set-up you are running is clean and tight. You can sync your carbs going by your eye for the most part, make sure both slides are completely seated into the jets with the needles and slowing tighten them up on each side till you get even pull from your throttle and they both lift at the same time. You don't want to raise them up to much but should be able to get a base just doing it by eye. I would also set your needles back to stock position and go from there.
  24. WHat was your reasoning for dropping the clips on the needles? You said they looked high so you dropped them, did you run it the way they were sent to you? Also with proper jetting you shouldn't be getting a lot of smoke. Banshee's will smoke a little just because they are a 2stroke but a lot of smoke isn't a good thing. How does it smoke when on the throttle? At idle your air screw controls the lean or rich condition on the circuit. Check to see if adjusting either one will level out the smoking issue on either side.
