ellison445 Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 If you like having your legs , get the nerfs! Quote
chronicwatson Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 nerfs are good and all for racing but if you want to trail ride they can get fucked up pretty quick from rocks/logs/branches. just my 2 cents Quote
cdwood37 Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 I didn't have nerfs for three years and never thought twice about it when my foot would fly off the peg and almsot get run over by the tire or almost throw me off. Just recently i bought some and they are a lifesaver and they look pretty good to. I got the UM pro pegs from magic racing i think they were 200 bucks. They have the real wide footpeg and my foot never slips off, and they went on real easy to. Quote
Shee-Male Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 IMO nerfs are a must. Most pro pegs are aluminum and after a good season of your feet grinding the dirt against the aluminum pegs your left with a smooth bump surface. I personally use the DG alloys cause they kind of sweep up and back, I filled in the open portion behind the net with perferated aluminum and widened my stock pegs incorperating a set of raptor pegs so they are also moved back 2". I also made and welded on a "kick-up" on the end. Quote
DIRTMAN350 Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 They are a must in my opinon. I bought the tusk ones from rmatv and like the way they look. They are pretty resonable as well. Quote

Have saved me a few times and are used quite often on trees while negotiating tight sand trails. I just wished I would have had them before I broke my leg and cost me 3500 bucks outta pocket (after insurance)... RIPPEN Quote

Do all you people who think nerfs are a must have a problem keeping your feet on the pegs (Im serious here)? Personally I have never found a need for them, and have plenty of other things to spend the money on. Quote
ellison445 Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 Gotta be one of these three A: You must not ride hard! B: Your running a stock bike C: Your bike is being rebuilt as we speak, so you dont feel the need to have nerfs But serious, One rock or a tree trunk that you may not see while blasting through a trail will make you change your mind :baseball_wassat: Yep. Do all you people who think nerfs are a must have a problem keeping your feet on the pegs (Im serious here)?
