  1. i was actually running quite rich, and i took my carbs apart and jetted them one jet smaller, still rich but not to bad i was at 155 went to a 152, cleaned the carbs while doing this. I had about 180 pounds of compression and 7 degrees advance in timing, i am running 110 octane and it has always been fine with that no detonation or anything. And i was running at the same elevation there as I am here.
  2. I took my banshee to little sahara UT this weekend and it ran amazing the first day then the second day it started to act like something was dragging it down the second day. It was making a kind of muffled popping sound like the chain was jumping teeth or something, but only under a load, like when i was wide open up the hill in fourth gear, it would even cause it to lose enough power to have to shift down to second. And the fist day i could pull the hill in 4th wound up tight. It seems to be in the right cylinder because the exhaust on that side makes a little noise. What could it be, i am baffled. Any help or opinions would be very appreciated.
  3. i bought a couple of not running jet ski's for 1000 bucks and need some help on them. One is a tigershark 900 that is oil injected. I took off the carbs and they are fine and the reeds look good to. The compression is at 110 pounds. I can crank it over forever and it doesn't even try and start, what could the problem be any help would be appreciated. the other is a 92 yamaha 500cc two stroke premix. It will start but it revs to the moon right away unless i close the choke and then it may die, but starts right back up, i think it just needs a new carb seems like the one on it is not working right, any info or opinions would be very much appreciated.

  5. i am at 6000 feet and i am running 110 octane race gas and am at plus 7 timing. compression is at 175. I was at a 152 main and then the plugs looked lean so i went to a 155 and then it turned gray so how can that be?
  6. i did a plug check and the electrode and top of plug was grey? is this to rich to lean or what, the plugs are br8eg. I am running 155 mains 42 pilots and cgl needle in the middle clip.
  7. so which side should have the larger jet.
  8. why is the jetting different from one carb to the other? And what is the jet that the one carb has that the other does not, it is much smaller than the mains but still there.

  11. i just had to put crank seals in a banshee because the right hand crank seal was leaking and pressuring up the cases and pushing oil out

  13. price not being an issue, what paddles should i buy for duning and dragging? my mods are in my sig and i run 14/41 gearing, how many paddles and what size?

  15. i have an 03 raptor with new stock front a-arms, the old ball joints were shot and just had new ones put on, stage 2 cam, high compression wiseco piston, yellow plastics, holeshot tires, ct racing exhaust Hot rods crank stock stroke. Ony about 2 hours on it since brand new rebuild on the whole motor, the wrist pin went bad so i just did the whole thing. Runs great, alot faster than the new 700. Want a banshee let me know if you are interested.

  17. My mods are in my sig and she is tuned dead on. I am running 14/41 gearing and i know skat trak haulers are the best and thats what i will get but which ones and how many paddles in order to take off in second gear in the sand.

I am welder and have streched a frame or two and have built a few swingarms, bumpers skidplates and so on and so forth, its really simple but if you take it to a shop near you it will cost a bunch because of the custom factor, its not everyday that people walk into a welding shop and ask for a banshee frame to be extended, just my opinion, how much you looking to extend it?
  19. How hard is it to convert a banshee from race gas to methanol, and how much of a stroker crank can i put in the cases before i have to trench them, and how exactly do they trench them?

My view on it is if you are man enough to have sex with your girlfriend or jsut a girl for that matter, you had better be man enough to deal with any consequence that comes along with it, in this case a baby. Sure your dad will get mad what dad wouldn't when his son is only 17, but he will get over it, my dad is the biggest hard ass in the world so i know all about it. I would regret having my girlfriend get an abortion, people younger than him have kids and make it so he can to just has to man up. Tons of families and marriages stem from unplanned pregnancies, thats just how it is, my first daughter wasn't planned but i am happy to have her and now i am married to her mother and i was only 21 at the time so that my opinion
  21. that sounds about right, in my area that is. Most shops charge about 60 to 65 an hour and figure about two hours plus parts, so no that is not outrageous, look at other shops, i don't think the numbers will fluxuate all that much.
  22. yes it is really wet and black but from what i ahve read i am at basically stock jetting, it is a 142 main now i changed it from a 122
