I have heard that you can add dish soap to your transmission oil to help it run better.. I cant see any truth to this but if there is please enlighten me

By "run better" what do you mean exactly? I wouldn't put anything in my trasmission except oil.

it would create bubbles. it`s an oil bath tranny, nothing but oil will make it run better.whoever told you this is a complete ass.

Guess they thought the slippery part of it would help :blink: , then once they royaly screwed it they blamed it on not having enough soap :confused:

soap will work wonders on clutch fibers and steels too.i wouldn t put anything but maxima mtl 85 wt. in my banshee. i used gear saver 1 time and fried a clutch 1 ride.

I have been running ATF for a few years now and have had ZERO problems. This idiot that said Soap wight have heard about Trans Fluid having DETERGENTS in it, and being the MORON he is, he just figured they were the same thing. They are not. Detergents reduce buildup of broken down oil depositing on the plates and fibers causing slippage and then wear. Just like in an automatic tranny in a car( wet clutch)
