This idiot that said Soap wight have heard about Trans Fluid having DETERGENTS in it, and being the MORON he is, he just figured they were the same thing. They are not. Detergents reduce buildup of broken down oil depositing on the plates and fibers causing slippage and then wear. Just like in an automatic tranny in a car( wet clutch) Quote
