  1. Fatboys as in a member on here or as in the series of pipes they are? Either way, they were purchased brand new from LRD and they are the adjustable big bores. Thanks!
  2. Up for sale is my 1997 Banshee. I've had this bike for the last year or so, it was purchased from a close friend of mine who was the only owner. This bike is by far my favorite shee I've ever owned and possibly the most well rounded shee I've been on. It starts up within 2 or 3 kicks, jetting is dead on. It rips like at least a 50-60 whp bike. I'm sure I don't have to tell most of you, but Banshees are purpose built usually, this bike does it all. Trail, Motocross, Drag/Sand... etc etc. I can't see any condition where this bike wouldn't be a good time. As the pictures will tell you, there are a lot of polished items and very little stock parts. I'm going to try to explain the mod list as best as I remember and can see. I'm asking 3200 and its going on ebay right now, however, if I see the right price I will end the auction ofcourse. I am located in Brunswick, Ohio. We might be able to arrange shipping if need be. Thanks in advance and shoot me any questions if there is any VIA PM or hit me at 330.273.6161(ask for Rocky) during the day 10-6. 3. I guess, from what I'm told, my current bike turned 13.70s at 91 or so(who knows if the MPH was right). Thats with some decent port work, decked cylinders and stock domes, stock carbs, and LRD pipes. Ofcourse the bore is close to stock. Plans are to add bigger flatslides and put a coolhead with 18s on it, make 60-70 to the rears on race gas and hopefully turn a 12 sec pass. Sub 11s on a Banshee is damn respectable to me.
  4. Word. What he said. Alien's are gonna make similar power and sound close. I'd settle for the Aliens, it's not like its the difference between a drag pipe and a woods pipe.
  5. Ehhhh, I dunno. I'ma have to go outta the "popular" vote here and say that thing looks like a good time. Typically when it comes to sport bikes, the GSXR lumps seem to make the most power right outta the box. And unless you've ridden a new GSXR anytime recent, you just don't understand the types of beautiful noise that comes outta that 4 stroke. I mean lets face it, I can't think of any banshee motors that make 140+ crank hp so I don't consider this to be an outrage. Dude just put a inline that makes good power in a frame that can accomidate the motor and who knows, he's prolly into banshees. At work we have a 96 frame thats cut and dedicated to a Suzuki TL1000S motor, for those who aren't familar with that bike, it's a V-twin sport bike kinda similar to the Honda RC51.
  6. According from my experiences from Wide Band O2s, you wanna place the probe about 2 feet from your main source of heat. In my turbo Talons I'd always place them in the test pipes, and that always gave me an good reading. However, remember that the closer you get to your exhaust port the better, but as stated before, with a 2 smoke you'll have a reverb of exhaust charge and fuel, so ofcourse after the expansion chamber is your best bet. I'm not 100% on the thresholds you'll want for tuning, whether it falls into the same category as a 4 stroke natural aspirated engine(14.7 being completely stoich and ideal). My 2c into this topic. Rocky
  7. I'm putting my bike back together and I have a few questions about the coolant hoses. Where in god's gift does the tee'd off hoses go to? Overflow? And which line goes to the nipple on the stem of the raditor(where the rad. cap is). I guess what I need in general is a schematic of where the smaller gauge hoses go. Unfortunatly my piece of shit Cylmers manual doesn't tell me. Any help would rock. Thanks!
  8. I want the cool and domes. I'll pm you with details.
  9. Here's my view on this situation. The Klaws aren't deep enough for trail use. The Razr's are just like Holeshots in the fact that they are just like the Klaws they don't dig deep enough, let face it kids, they are a MX tire. No mud, no snow, just loose dirt and hard ground. The I-Razrs are awesome ass tires, however, again the lugs aren't deep enough for aggressive trail ridding and the type of traction I demand for my bike and my terrain. I might buy a set of these for a rainy day, or just a really dry day on hard ground which these tires need. But still I could find use for them. Or you could do what I did and that was buy a set of 20 in Razr 2s and be amazingly happy. I've ridden on pretty much every tire on the market, and these satisfy every need I would have for an ATV tire. The only problems I have with these tires are A. they're heavy, but F they are 6 ply tires B. expensive, however being a radial they don't wear as quickly as 2 - 4 ply's. We sell very few Razr 2 tires at work because nobody can justify the cash, that is until they ride my Banshee that actually hooks well.
  10. If your curious as to what "knock" sounds like, run the 87 or 89. If you wish not to endanger your motor, run the highest octane you can find. Keep in mind the kind of performance your squeezing out of those little cylinders, they need as much oxygen and fuel as they can get.
  11. I like my Dynoport 2into1 setup. If you're doing a lot of MX stuff, these are the pipes to have. Stump pulling power and decent midrange with an acceptable top end. Get your port on and you'll have an around managable bike. Not mention the sound they produce. If anyone tells you they sound like a street bike or an F1 car, they aren't lieing. However if I wasn't planning on toying around with turboing, I'd prolly have a set of Rockets or Toomeys.
  12. With all the driving I do, you would think I'd buy another house. Well I don't have my own house to begin with so does that answer your question?
  13. HID dynamics HID kit. For vehicles that use 9006 bulbs, this is a complete plug and play kit. It was only used for maybe 1 to 2 mons. 8000k light temp. These pics do not do them justice. They will increase your vision up to 50% more and they have an amazing Euro look to them. Asking $250 shipped. Next on the listed is an Alpine M-605 monoblock sub amp. Makes really good power, only used for about 15mins. Asking 150 plus shipping. Finally a Kenwood KDC-9102D monoblock sub amp. Again makes even more power than the Alpine, but not as good sound quality and doesn't have as many options as the Alpine, but still a killer amp. Asking 150 plus shipping for that guy too. Again all prices are nego. so feel free to make offers, possibly trades included. Thanks!
  14. I have a pretty tasty 1g car up for sale, however it is FWD. The car has made over 394 whp with the older smaller 50 trim, which now it has a 60 trim sitting in its place. The car has over 14,000 dollars put into it, but I'm asking only 7,000 for it. If your interested I might take in something of yours for a trade. Let me know, I'll throw up some pics.
  15. Here's my take, for whom ever wants to hear it. Big Red, if you want to skat, thats your thing. However, from what I've seen of your posts and not to mention your picture is on the home page, you'll be dealing with Banshees for awhile. I honestly think that maybe you should stick around and igore the ones you can't stand. I consider anyone that owns more than one Banshee to be an asset. But again, to each his own. Chase, man, I don't know you and honestly I have nothing against you, but some people just don't like the "Yeah I grow and smoke pot" all in their face. It tends to be sort of a illegal activity. I can deal with the fact that some choose to do it, I'm deff. not saying its wrong, but thats what gives you a bad rep. If you cut out the 420 all the fucking time, lets kill brain cells, FTP, I love the ganja shit, I'm sure people would give you more respect. Brooke, you are a crazy shit. Every forum needs one, however you know the cost of being that person. I enjoy reading your posts. In closing I'd just like to say, People, it's the fucking internet. Chill out. Just have a good time and get the hell out.
  16. Yeah..... Just a lot. I've had my fair share of drunken nights. However, I don't really like to brag about them. Espically not over the internet.
  17. Summit Racing has a lot of universal pod filters for many different applications, give them a try. www.summitracing.com
  18. I'm with the fella above. I mean, you're gonna have to tear it down sooner or later. Plus thats the fun part, tearing everything apart and looking at it frustrated saying "Damn it, where did I put all those misc parts!" But within all seriousness, it's kinda rewarding taking something that looks like a heap and turning it into art.
  19. Possibly you could rig up the headlights.... But thats just hearsay.
  20. to the asswhippings. I, personally, have only raced one 700R. The bike I raced was modded, some sort of tuning "magic box", piped, and no lid/cone filter and was a dyno proven 50 hp to the tires. We raced from a dig, and i pulled him through the first two gears, third he started to catch me, and fourth he pulled maybe a quad or two. However if we went from a roll, which we did later that day, it was terribly close. Maybe it was because his quad was a freak or I'm still relatively unmodded, but it told me that im at the power level I expected(close to 45 whp). Now for the 450, I ain't skeered. From what I hear, they are kinda weak sauce. Well stock at least. We'll see what comes from them. Again though, nice kills.
  21. Happy birthday man. Hopefully its a good one.
  22. I rode 3 some hours today on a full tank of cam2 and still had a tad bit left, although I'm not sure octane really had anything to do with it. And for at least 30-45 mins of it was higher speed on roads seeing mostly 1/2 to full throttle, the other time was ragged trail ridding on muddy trails.
  23. Here ya go. I dumped on a couple of piped KX125s the other day in a straight field. That was with my airbox lid on and fouled plugs. You will lose.
  24. Yeah that! I've had my fair share of run ins with race gas, but typically the stuff I get is purple. Other than putting it in the dirt bike, pour some of each on the ground and light it on fire. Other than smelling like race gas, it will also smoke a little lighter than the other(a grayish smoke).
