I can mod it for you for free, you just pay for shipping both ways.  Takes like 5 min to do.

I wouldn't mind doing this eventually (myself) but how do you know the # degrees? Use a protractor and scribe lines on it before reinstallation?

Got pix? :D

Brydon...where do you live?  I have a set of pipes here...Toomey T-5's to be axact, that were on the banshee I'm rebuildin when it was flipped.  With alittle tweakin on one of the stingers, these pipes would have worked fine.  I'm just one of them anal types that can't stand to put something back together that isn't close to perfect...and perfect cost me $650 bux, but for free..I don't see how you could go wrong myself.  I'll never use these and if you got any ideas about how I can get them to you, I'll seriously complicate your life..lol  (actually, once you see what JUST a new set of pipes does to your banshee, you will immediately develop an overwhelming desire to customize the living hell outta her and then, congratulations...you'll be as officially hooked on it as the rest of us in here...*sorry man..I'm tryin to help here...realy I am...lol)  Lemme know k?  It'd tickle me to death to be able to help someone out in here...

p.s.  if you get these..you'll need to learn about jetting your carbs some, which luckily for all of us, there are some resident carb wizards in here that can tell you everything...and re-jetting isn't too tough or expensive it just takes alittle time..

Stock pipes and filter suck!!

the banshee wants to breathe a lot more than what yamaha has made it.

yamaha made it so it wont be too much for ppl to handle so they de-tuned it by restricting airflow.

if i were u i would get a set of pipes and get rid of the whole airbow thing and get dual k&n filters then rejet the sucker and it will run like a beast!!!

Did I read right?? Free pipes, and T5's at that... Man if you can make the pipes run-able, jump on that. T5's are $550 from Toomey if they're chrome, and as anyone will tell you they'll run real good. There are pipes out there that make more power, but T5's are an excellent pipe. If you're looking for free, mod your timing plate, I preferred the adj. plate from Ricky Stator, but it ends up about $45 with shipping. You can take the snorkel off you airbox with no other mods needed and pick up a little, but removing the lid will require a Pro Flow adapter and K&N usually $50-ish used, closer to $100 new. You'll soon find that it costs money to go fast, how fast do you wanna go?...

Not totally true. It is true that the airbox lid holds the crappy factory filter setup together, but only at the front edge of the lid. For free, you can cut the entire center out of the lid, leaving only the edges all the way around to properly locate and retain the filter. Works just like no lid at all. If you keep the factory filter, be sure to grease the foam sealing edge of the filter LIBERALLY to keep crud from getting around it and into your motor.

A general rule of thumb is that every mm removed from the plate is 1
