Fatties or T6

Which one of these pipes pulls harder on top end? Do one of these two allow the motor to rev at a higher rpm?

if you're not gonna port your motor, go with the T6, and if you are gonna port your motor, then go with the T5's, anyone on this site will probably say this, just my 2 cents--hope it helps

never had the fmf's but i have the toomeys and they pull nice and hard and rev nice and high also

Friend has a 2003 LE with: Fatties

Six holes drilled out of air lid

15 tooth front sprocket

 

I have a 2005 Banshee with: Toomey T6

Shaved head ( Didn't reshape domes though)

15 tooth front sprocket

 

Both run same size tires. When we raced he passes me every time in 5th and pulls ahead about a quad. We switched the airbox lids and He still pulled ahead but it was in the middle of 6th gear before he did. So putting the modded airbox lid on mine did help but he still pulled ahead. Just thought that maybe the Fatties pull a little harder on top end than the T6's do. I weigh about 20 lbs. more than he does. We shift almost identical so I don't think it's the rider.

I agree, still running my t-6's, I like them better than t-5's or fatties. It's all personal preferance.

The girl that rides with us has a 2001 Shee and its got TR6's and a 2:1 K&N, and she smoke one of my buddys with FMF SST's. He got the holeshot and she got him top end. I think the TR6's have more pull at top end. Im stickin with my T5's tho

ok guyz everyone knows its unlikely for two shees to have the same modz and run identical it jus aint gunna happen i run toomeys now (about to switch to rocketz) and i had fmf, both are good pipes . toomeys are a awsome dune and drag pipe but fmf is built for mx.

I run Fattys and will probably always run them. I've tried T-5s and they were nice but not as much low end. They probably do have more top end than Fattys though.

I love it!!!! I went through the same thing when I had my t6 pipes. A friend of mine had fattys, and a 16 tooth front. He beat me all the time. But at sand mountain with a 13 tooth I would beat him. A mid range pipe is going to pull the taller gear better than a top end pipe, they have a broader power band. When I had my two into one intake, I would kill people on the dirt with my tall gears, and people thought my single carb had a lot of top end. When it was just the midrange, bottom end, and a tall gear.

its hard to beat the fattys for a great all around pipe. just the quality isnt the greatest

I have fattys on mine a pull away from my frined with shearers in 6th gear....
