I am trying to take my end nut off my axle where the cotter pin goes through but I have tried and already snaped off an extension in a socket. Ive taken them off before on other quads and I have never had this much trouble. Should I maybe put a little heat to that sucker. Also just curious as to what you guys use to take off the two axle locking nuts.

For the hub nuts try spraying sum wd-40 on there, and as for the lock nuts, I just used some really big pipe wrenches and practically stood on it and jumped and it broke them loose

If your talking about the castle nut on the end of the axle id make sure the cotter pin holes are clear of any chips or anything like that. A little heat would probably help too.

for the axle nuts i used a motion pro shock wrench. I bought mine from the local Yamaha dealer. You might have to order one but they work very good.

An impact wrench works wonders on all those hard to get off nuts....and 2 pipe wrenches will break those locking nuts loose.

Heat will help either nut come off. I tend to use it as a last resort since it ruins the finish. Make sure you rigidly hold the axle and use the most rigid tool to break it loose. If locktite was used slowly put a little heat to it and it will release the locktite before the finish on the nuts is ruined.

No kidding, I was figuring he'd either need to move his hips faster of tell her to either jerk or suck him off.

I'd be leary of heat myself I just don't like messing with material properties of the axle. I use an impact only takes but a second.

when i cant get stuff off i get out my 1/2 drive ratchet with athe appropriate socket. and with some help from 9 feet of 1.5" DOM tubing, they always come loose.
