trickedcarbine Posted December 5, 2016 Report Posted December 5, 2016 ever wonder why the piston windows are half covered at bdcGo on... Quote
registered user Posted December 5, 2016 Report Posted December 5, 2016 yamaha wasnt completely stupid. they must have known when inflow started and the windows coincide with that Quote
JasonB Posted December 5, 2016 Author Report Posted December 5, 2016 Sleeper does the pro mod also, just send the engine to him and make it easy on yourself. yfz450 rear hubs are a cheap upgrade for getting your rear axle wider. yep, i talked to him about it and basically he'd have trouble getting it done quickly with the work he has on his plate. I am checking around right now, i was hoping to get this tranny done by the first of the year so i can get the bike back together for some shake downs and tuning, i hate rushing through a project before a ride shit never turns out good in that scenario. Redline hasnt gotten back to me yet about a time frame but given the package and price they offer i was hoping to send it to them. Do you guys have any places specifically you'd recommend i check with? Quote
ClaudeMachining Posted December 5, 2016 Report Posted December 5, 2016 Camatv here is doing promod tranny Quote

guns4children Posted December 5, 2016 Report Posted December 5, 2016 Cam ATV did mine and I love it. I'm not pushing huge power though. 421 1/2 smerv with PC pipes. Quote
registered user Posted December 5, 2016 Report Posted December 5, 2016 tricked we would be fools to assume the windows were placed willy nilly. im convinced yamaha had a pretty clear understanding of the inlet cycle and placed the windows accordingly. other very smart people ive talked to also fully agree with yamahas window location. some believe the window should be full open at bdc but plenty of experts disagree Quote
gusto Posted December 5, 2016 Report Posted December 5, 2016 FAST has 1-2 week turn around for pro mod Quote
JasonB Posted December 5, 2016 Author Report Posted December 5, 2016 FAST has 1-2 week turn around for pro mod i was just looking at their package, they dont include the shifter drum roller bearing mod and also dont offer the roller bearing detent arm if i read the page right. Going to give them a ring to chat now. Quote
JasonB Posted December 5, 2016 Author Report Posted December 5, 2016 just spoke with Cody, basically they dont offer the roller detent arm or the shift drum mod like redline does. Same $200 price though. Not real sure about all that, going to hit up CamATV and see who else is out there and the prices for what you get Quote
ClaudeMachining Posted December 5, 2016 Report Posted December 5, 2016 You can easily doThe roller detent mod for about 5$ Quote
